Ushering In Good Luck With Food!
As promised, here's pt. II of the post that was started yesterday.
Yesterday's post featured some foods that came from other
countries, today- lucky foods from right here in the U.S.
1) Pennsylvania Dutch Country-
The people in this part of the U.S. eat pork and sauerkraut to
usher in good luck for the new year.
2) Southern Comfort-
In parts of the South, both black and white families eat
Hopping John, aka black-eyed peas. Some families also
add rice, fish, a little pork, and a green vegetable like
cabbage or collard greens for more health, wealth and
happiness.
So, if you want more prosperity, good health or happiness
for 2012, perhaps adding some of the foods you've read about,
might be the only luck you need.
Good Luck!
