Alternative Help From Whoopi!
Have you heard the latest business venture about to be launched from
star Whoopi Goldberg?
The venture:
Products laced with marijuana to help women who suffer from painful periods.
What types of products?
Bath oils, soap, body washes, etc.
But wait, if you're one of the millions of women who could use something
to alleviate that monthly pain, take note- the products will only be available
in California and you must have a medical marijuana card.
So, what are you to do if you don't live in Washington state, Colorado
or Ca?
You do what women did 50 or 100 yrs. ago, and what is that?
They used natural things, you know, things like...
a) Tea-
Not black or green, but Chamomile.
The tea relieves the muscle tension and anxiety that usually happens a few days
before your period. Another benefit of Chamomile tea: it's a great sleep aid.
Goodbye sleeping pills.
Important tip: Skip the danish you might enjoy with your tea.
b) A Heating Pad-
Better (and safer) than Acetaminophen, a heating pad or a heat wrap dilates the
blood vessels and relaxes the uterus, easing the contractions.
Look for menstrual heat patches from the drugstore or buy a heating pad
or even better---take a warm bath.
c) Eat Right-
Oh no, not another diet tip, oh yes, because women who have cleaned up their
diets, (no trans-fats, high fructose corn syrup, processed food) also noticed that
the pain that accompanied their periods disappeared.
d) Tip From Madge-
That's Madonna to you, and not only is she a coconut water drinker, she's also
invested a lot of money into a very popular coconut water company.
And if you've been avoiding it (C. water) you may want to start drinking it as well.
Why? A woman who had serious monthly cramps was able to get blessed
relief after drinking a cup a day or every other day.
The water is high in potassium and magnesium, 2 minerals that help correct
electrolyte imbalance.
More helpful tips:
C Water also helps you prevent heart attacks and strokes, lowers cholesterol
levels and keeps your liver from becoming a fatty, toxin-filled mess of an organ.
e) Goodbye Starbucks-
Well, only if you're downing a lot of coffee and other caffeinated
products. Too much caffeine can cause vaginal and breast pain.
f) Pop This-
Antacids- taking calcium carbonate can reduce mood swings, bloating,
cramps, headaches and cravings by 40%.
g) Be More Like Oprah-
Not in back account but by taking up meditation.
Some women swear that a 15 min. session of meditation is all of the natural
medicine they need to combat painful periods.
Not sure how to meditate to relieve pain? head to Youtube
and see if there's a video that'll help.
And lastly, some have tried praying as well. Say the Lord's Prayer out loud
a week before your period and see if this helps.
That's it for now, and if any more great tips come our way, we'll
surely pass them on to you.
One last reminder--save that leftover Easter chocolate, (especially dark)
why? It could help fix and alleviate certain ailments and benefit you in countless
ways. Don't believe it? Head on over to Amazon.com.the kindle store
and type --The Easter Bunny Rxs Just For Women in the search bar.
Good Luck!
