J Lo's Rx For Great Legs!

                   Get Legs Like J Lo!
Jennifer Lopez gave some special fans who came to her show at the Foxwoods
casino in Connecticut an incredible show and some wonderful advice.
Thanks to the T.V. show Access Hollywood, five fans were allowed to move

from the back of the auditorium, up to the front, and after the show,
the five fans were allowed to visit with Ms. Lopez.
And one of the fans asked her "how do you get such incredible legs?"

To which Ms. Lopez replied- "I had to give up soda"
Now, some stars are vegans, some eat fish, but no chicken or beef
and some eat only raw foods to attain their "perfect" physiques, but Soda.
Why?
Incredibly, soda has been getting a bad rap of late and it's rightly deserved.
A soda now and then won't do to much damage to your health, but drink
it everyday and it'll do incredible damage to your health and well-being, like...
1) Brittle Bones-
Too much soda like too much alcohol can set you up for broken hips and
other fractures later in life.
2) Acne-

Suffer from acne? If your a heavy soda drinker, you may want to cut back
or cut it out entirely.
3) Cravings-

This may be the reason Ms. Lopez avoids it. Drinking soda on a regular basis
may increase cravings for sweets and other fatty foods. It may be the type of
sugar the soda makers use.
4) Blood Pressure-
Regular soda drinkers have significantly higher blood pressure than those
who avoid it. Again, the type of sugar may be to be blame.
5) Diet-
But, what about diet? Nope, new research says that artificial sweetners
in the soda, may also cause problems to your health, like...buzzing in
the ears and frequent headaches.
Side Note- you may want to pass this onto Donna Karan, (the fashion designer)
it's rumored she drinks diet soda 7 days a week.

So, now that you know how J Lo keeps her legs in great shape,
it's time to rethink your drinking stiuation. Look online for alternatives
to soda.

Uma Thurman's Halloween Rx For Youthful Skin!

Uma Thurman is over 40 and still looks 10 to 12 yrs. younger than her
actual age and the credit goes to the food most of us only eat in the Fall.
That food: Pumpkin!

So, are you ready to be like Uma and start using pumpkin facials?

plain yogurt or 1/2  mashed-up avocado.  Lie back in a comfortable chair
and apply to the face and neck. Leave on for 20 mins. and then wash off
with a mild soap and warm water.

                        Turn Back The Clock Like Brooklyn!
Brooklyn Decker, the hot new "supermodel" and wife of tennis great Andy Roddick,
is receiving a lot of press of late.  Thanks to her All-American, sun drenched good looks,
Ms. Decker is now being asked to reveal her secrets for looking so good.
Could it be her diet, or genes or a surgeon's knife?
Well, it's none of the above, it's actually something that costs less than a dollar
and you "regular Jane" can find it at your Supermarket or Drugstore.

Her secret: Baking Soda!
That's right, Mrs. Roddick, adds a tsp. or two to her face wash and lightly
massages it into her skin.
Another tip: Baking soda can be added to oily hair as well. Leave on for a few
mins. and then rinse out.

As for the Brooklyn Decker tip, if you plan on using this tip, it may be best to do it
on a day off. Why? It may leave some redness, and redness at work or school may
not be appealing.

There you have it,  using the kitchen cupboard staple to look like a supermodel,
without going broke.

Regis and Kelly's Rx To Staying Cold and Flu-Free!

                        Prevent Colds and Flu Naturally! On today's Regis and Kelly Show, the hosts took flu shots to help them stay
flu-free this yr. There's still a debate raging on whether they're safe or not.
If you plan on getting a flu shot this yr. that's okay, but if you're from the camp

of "I don't want a flu shot" use one of the natural remedies listed below...
1) Eat more Yogurt-
Make it a good unsweetened yogurt that contains probiotics.
A cup of yogurt a day is a great way to prevent the flu.
2) Eat Apples and Kiwis-
Both contain compounds that help you stay cold and flu-free.
Fun fact, a teacher who had gotten too many colds for too many
years, really wanted something natural to help her in the upcoming yr.
She visited a nutritionist who recommended Kiwi.
She ate 2 a day, 5 days a week and stayed flu-free for the whole school yr.
