Talk Show Host's Rx For More Energy!

                             Drink This Water!
According to a recent poll, one female star, has been named as one of the
fittest on T.V. or in the movies. Another clue, she's on T.V. and she shares
the stage with a still-fit, former athlete.
Give up?

It's Kelly Ripa.

And even though Ms. Ripa doesn't give out particulars as to what she
eats, the type of exercises she does, etc., we were able to find out

one of her secrets.
What is that secret?
She drinks a specific type of water, what kind of water?
It's called Essentia Water.

And what's so special about this water?

It's goes through a special process to to make it alkaline.
And drinking it helps balance the body's pH

levels to optimize the function of fat-burning glands.

So, the next time you see Ms. Ripa hosting "Live with Kelly
and Michael" and you're wondering how does Kelly stay so

slim and trim, now you know... one of her secrets--It's alkaline water.

Look for Essentia water at supermarkets, Walmart or health-food stores.
$2.00 for a 20 oz. bottle.

Good Luck!

Morning Show Host's Rx For Applying Perfume!

                      Apply Perfume Like Kelly!

On yesterday's edition of "Live With Kelly and Michael"
the 2 hosts talked about applying perfume and cologne.

The hosts said it's best to avoid overdoing it; that way you don't
upset or overwhelm friends or coworkers.

And Kelly also said, "do not use perfume in place of soap and water"
"you'll only end up being smelly with too much cologne on."

It goes to show to show you, talk about something that a lot of
people can relate to and it's bound to show up in some survey
or research project.
That's right, according to new research, women who apply
just a little perfume, are perceived as prettier and more
approachable.
And those who had too much or no perfume on, were thought to
be less attractive and less approachable.

So, next time you head out to that singles bar or church mixer,
remember the time-honored words of Kelly Ripa,
"less is more" when it comes to perfume.
Actually less can mean more dates.

Good Luck!

Kelly Ripa's Rx For Wearing Taller Shoes!

                              Wear High Heels Like Kelly!

Kelly Ripa makes no secret about her love affair with high heels and
at 5'2" she needs all the help she can get.
If you too, love to wear heels like Kelly or the Today's show 5' 10"
host - Savannah Guthrie, here's a tip for all you high heel
loving women.

The tip: If you're buying insoles- make sure to buy them (insoles)

designed for high heels, you know, make sure they shift weight
off the balls of your feet. (Regular insoles distribute the weight
evenly across the foot.)

Product to try: Dr. Scholl's for High Heel Insoles, price-$9.00
per pair. Look for them at shoe stores or drugstores.

Good Luck!

Regis and Kelly's Rx To Staying Cold and Flu-Free!

Prevent Colds and Flu Naturally! On today's Regis and Kelly Show, the hosts took flu shots to help them stay
flu-free this yr. There's still a debate raging on whether they're safe or not.
If you plan on getting a flu shot this yr. that's okay, but if you're from the camp

of "I don't want a flu shot" use one of the natural remedies listed below...
1) Eat more Yogurt-
Make it a good unsweetened yogurt that contains probiotics.
A cup of yogurt a day is a great way to prevent the flu.
2) Eat Apples and Kiwis-
Both contain compounds that help you stay cold and flu-free.
Fun fact, a teacher who had gotten too many colds for too many
years, really wanted something natural to help her in the upcoming yr.
She visited a nutritionist who recommended Kiwi.
She ate 2 a day, 5 days a week and stayed flu-free for the whole school yr.
Another benefit of Kiwi: Her undereyes circles disappeared and she didn't

have to cake her makeup on too heavily anymore.
Just consider Kiwi-"the plumber's snake of the fruit world." Able to clear out
blockages and allow blood to flow more easily.
3) Take a Cold Shower-
Unable to take a 3 min. cold shower? That's okay- researchers say turning down
the shower for the last 30 secs. or min. is enough to help build up immunity.
Cold baths and showers are popular in Scandinavian countries.
4) Avoid the Sweets-
Dr. Oz, America's favorite Dr. wants all of us to cut "way down" on
or cut out sugar entirely from our diets and for good reason.
Too much sugar, especially in Nov. Dec. and Jan.  wreaks
havoc on our immune systems, making it easier for cold and flu
viruses to enter our systems.
5) A Tip for Vegetarians-
Did you become a "strict" vegetarian in the last few wks.
You may think you're doing yourself a favor, but you may be
setting yourself up for more colds that last for too long. Why?
A strictly vegetable diet is lacking in Zinc, a mineral
that helps build up immunity. Are you ready to go back to meat?
No! Eat more mushrooms or ask your naturopath for a good zinc
supplement.
6) Gargle-
Yes the simple act of gargling once or twice a day is an effective way to stay
cold and flu-free. Gargle with plain water or with a little sea or Himalayan salt.
7)  More about the Flu-Shot-
If you do plan on getting the flu shot, make it more effective by
taking up Tai Chi, yes that Tai Chi, the ancient Chinese slow and gentle
exercise.

Hope these tips help you stay cold amd flu-free,
and if you have a tip or two on ways to avoiding colds,
please pass them along.
