Do you apply mascara the way your mom, or best friend or
coworker does? 
Big mistake. Why?
Applying mascara isn't a "one-size-fits-all, type of thing.

That's right, just as you might apply your eyeliner or lipstick
a certain way, mascara is no different.
You should apply it according to whether you have close-set or
wide-set eyes.
If you have close-set eyes, try putting a little extra mascara
on the outer lashes.
And if you have wide-set eyes, add a few more coats to the inner
lashes.
