Hollywood's Rxs For Getting Fit This Summer Pt. 2!

                        Get Fit on Land!

You may remember the post from last week.

You know, getting fit on or near the water.
Well, this post is also about getting fit,

and most of the exercises can be done at the park,
 the beach or hilly terrain.

Celebrity trainer Brett Hoebel, says these are the best
exercises to tone up your legs, rear end and upper arms.
First up, the waist-

a) The Waist-
Throw a frisbee. A frisbee to change your waist?

Yes, twisting from side to side engage the obliques--
muscles that cinch in the waist.
To get more benefits:
Step from side to side across the park or beach between throws.
This raises your heart rate to boost calorie burn while engaging

the hip flexors to slim the thighs.
b) Trim Those Upper Arms-
A problem area for a lot of women and if you love the beach,
make sure to bring along a volleyball.
Hitting the ball, serving, running and diving tone all areas,

but it's especially helpful to your arms.
To get more benefits:
Bend your knees and jump up each time you hit the ball. This
tones the glutes, thighs and hamstrings.
c) Be Like J Lo-
At 46, Ms. Lopez is still looking good and even though we don't

have proof, it may be the hills. As in walking up hills.
Walking -especially up hill engage more of the legs and glutes
and help you burn about 80% more calories than if you walked
on a straight path.
To get more benefits:

Pump your arms as you hike or use walking poles (Nordic poles)
this increases heart rate and calorie burn.
Fun Fact:  Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon really
love to walk, especially up and down hills.
d) Biking-
A favorite activity many stars enjoy and if a flatter belly is a goal,

then you must get that bike out. Riding a bike for 30 mins.
burns about 300 calories, plus keeping the bike balanced-
engage the deep abdominal muscles- helping you melt that
belly.
To get more benefits:
Go as fast as you can for 30 secs. and then rest for 60 to 90 secs.

Do this about 3 times to start and work your way up to 10 times.
This is called intermitten training and you'll really burn some calories.
Important tip:
If you haven't biked (or even walked hills) in quite some time,

it's best to go slow and not rush things.

Good Luck!

One last tip:
If you decide to use one or more of the exercises
listed above, may sure to make a few dietary changes.
What changes? Switching out your butter, vegetable oil
and margarine and use avocado oil, flaxseed oil, rice bran

oil and grapeseed oil. Not sure how to use these
oils?
