DWTS' Rx To A Great Tan!

                         Suntanning Season Is Here!

If you're a fan of "Dancing With The Stars" like we are,

then you know all about James, Candice, Danica, Charlie,
Meryl, NeNe and Drew.

But are you aware that a lot of stars have to get tans?

That's right, they don't have time to tan due to the amount of
training they have to put in each day.
So, they have members of DWTS staff apply self tanning applications.
And if you're short of time and also use self tanners, then make sure
you avoid the problems that come with self tanners.
The problems: Streaks, uneven color and stains (especially on your hands)

If this is you and you don't have a team of stylists to apply self tanners,
do the following...
Use self tanning butter sponges. One to try: Bronze Butter,
find it online at BronzeButter.com. Simply wet the sponge, then gently
buff your skin to eliminate streaks, remove tanner from your palms
and lighten too-dark color.

Another tip:  Used dry sponges to easily remove deodorant stains
from clothing.

That's it- We can't guarantee you'll look like Maksim or Val,

but you'll certainly look a whole lot better with an evenly, stain and
streak-free tan.

Good Luck!

A Star's Rx For Frequent Travelers!

A Flying Secret From Eva Mendes!

Eva Mendes will be on the Ellen Degeneres show tomorrow.
She will reveal something that may help a lot of women
(and men) avoid a very serious health crisis.
What is it?
Ms. Mendes opts out of the wand being passed over her body and

takes the pat down instead.
If you're a frequent flier like Ms. Mendes, you too, may start taking
the pat down as well.

Why?
That seemingly harmless wand can increase your odds of getting thyroid
cancer by a whopping 65%. Yup, that small wand will unleash
a good amount of radiation. Radiation that finds it way into your system.
Don't believe it?
Ask Sofia Vergara and Brooke-Burke Charvet.
Both actresses have battled thyroid cancer in the past few yrs.
And luckily, both were able to get it taken care of in a speedy fashion
and are now cancer-free.

And now that you've been warned about thyroid cancer, make sure to take
steps to avoid another serious health problem, what is it?
Blood clots.
They too, (blood clots) are on the rise and sitting at a desk all day
and then going on a plane to sit some more is causing an increase in blood
clots, especially in your legs.

So, to help you never become a victim, make sure to eat and drink
 the following...
a) Drink more water. A hydrated body is less likely to form clots.
b) A Fruit Combo- Grapes and Apples. Don't know why, but this combo
keeps blood flowing throughout the body.
c) Eat Kiwi- One researcher says that Kiwi are so powerful, one woman
cleared up her life-long undereye circles in a matter of wks. Think

of Kiwi like it's a plumber's snake- clearing out the toxins and plaque
in your body.
Drink Tea- see A) Skip the danish, canolis, and the other pastries
that you usually have with your tea. White sugar and white flour
will not only cause waistlines to expand, they create blood clots.
d) Dark Chocolate-
Women everywhere are shouting hip-hip hooray, another reason
to eat dark chocolate. Eat a square or two of top quality dark
choc. Or buy some Organic hot cocoa, and have a cup or two
each day. Again, skip the sweets.
e) Avoid The American Diet-
Simply put, if you're eating the typical burger, fries, pizza,
chips, burritos, fried chicken and Mac and Cheese, you're
raising your risk of getting some serious diseases. Plus,
you're increasing your odds of developing blood clots.
Change your ways and switch to the Mediterranean diet.
f) Exercise-
Okay, you may not be able to get up on the plane and do squats
or knee bends, but do try and move your ankles and walk to the
bathroom once or twice during the flight.

That's it- some helpful tips for all of the frequent travelers out there.
And if you want tips on how to prevent thyroid cancer,
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download a copy of

The SuperFoods That Prevent Breast Cancer. a chapter deals solely
with Thyroid cancer.

Good Luck!

Talk Show Host's Rx For Better Health!

                           Drink Up With Bethenny!

Things are looking up for former reality show star Bethenney Frankel.
She now has a talk show is steadily gaining in the ratings and she
just sold her company- "Skinny Girl Cocktails" to a bigger company
by the name of Beam, (as in Jim Beam).
With the Christmas season already here, a lot of us will be attending
or hosting parties, at which alcohol will be served.
If you're planning to have a drink or two and want to stay healthy
in the process, make sure to mix (your own drinks) or ask for drinks that'll
boost health.
That's right- lower calorie drinks aren't the only types of drinks you

can get, depending on what you ask for, you can get a drink to help
lower blood pressure, to boost heart health, to help your immunity
levels or even lower certain types of cancer.

Still, not convinced?
Okay, look below for a recipe for a martini that'll help you boost
heart health, keep skin youthful and keep colds away.

The drink:
A Pomegranate Margarita!
This drink is sweet, tart and salty.
Directions:

Rub the rim of 2 margarita glasses with a lime wedge,
then swirl in coarse salt, in an ice-filled shaker,
mix in 2 ozs. of tequila, 1 oz. orange liqueur and 1/3
unsweetened pomegranate juice.
Shake vigorously, strain into glasses and top off with
a few drops of club soda.
Serves 2.

That's it, drinks that not only taste good, they're good for you.
Also important: Moderation is the key. No overdoing it.

Good Luck!
