Newly Married Couple's Rx For a Better Brain!

                              Dance Like Kim and Robert!

If you're really a fan of celebrity news then you're probably aware of
the recent celebrity wedding.

The wedding of Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson.
You know- Mr. Herjavec from "Shark Tank"
and Kym Johnson from "Dancing With The Stars"

And according to recent news- men and women
that dance a few times a week can help keep
their brains in tip-top shape and even lower their risk of

getting Alzheimer's by a whopping 30%.

How does dancing help, you ask?
It (dancing) stimulates the release of nerve growth factor , a chemical that
increases your production of new brain cells.
And something more exciting- you can lower your odds even more
(of getting dementia) by listening and exercising to upbeat music.

So, for all of you out there that say "I hate to dance"
perhaps this post and the recent nuptials of Robert and Kym will
help change your mind.
Also important- If you're not a fan of dancing but still want to
prevent Alzheimer's, indoor cycling (or Soul cycling), walking
inside or outdoors for 20 to 30 mins, or even puttering around in the
garden will
help both body and Mind.

Good Luck!

Natural Cures For An Embarrassing Problem!

                                     Stop The Gas Attacks!

If you're a fan of the hit ABC show-"Dancing With The Stars"
then you're well aware of the embarrassing problem Witney Carson and
her partner  Von Miller are going through.
The embarrassing problem- Gas.

It's gotten so bad for Ms. Carson, she now fines him for every butt toot.
If Ms. Carson really wants to help him, don't fine him, give him the following
natural tips...

a) Sip Cocoa Without Milk-
Not the sugar-laden variety that passes as hot cocoa, but a good organic brand.
(Mr. Miller can afford it). And one more thing- add hot water to your mug and not milk,
as milk may cause the gas problem, (blame the lactose)
b) Watch The Sweets-
As in sweeteners.  Artificial sweeteners fuel the growth of  bacteria in the large intestine
making it inevitable gas will follow. Cut back on them until you find out how much
you can have without causing gas attacks.
c) Head to the Drugstore-
And pick up Lactaid or Lactrase, both help with gas triggered by dairy,
Or pick up Beano, which helps with gas caused by beans and carbs.
d) Eat Slowly-

Yes, eating too fast can cause gas attacks. eating too quickly causes you to swallow
air along with the food. This also goes for drinking too quickly.
e) Save Your Heavy Meal-

For later in the day, and if you do eat heavy, take a walk for 10 mins. and
work out a lot of that gas before arriving to the dance rehearsal.
e) Watch These Foods-
Whipped creams, soda, souffles, beans, onions, bananas,
cheese puffs, popcorn, highly processed carbs and certain greens, ( Cabbage)

That's it- hope this helps Witney and all the other girlfriends, wives or
dance partners who are under siege, a gas siege.

Good Luck!

A Natural Remedy For a Male Star!

                                        Natural Rx For Back Pain!

If you're a fan of the hit ABC show "Dancing With The Stars" then you may

have watched as dancer Mark Ballas went down with a back injury.
He may have pulled something or slipped a disc and if you too, are going through
similar problems, you may want to try something organic and natural.

Word of caution to those who are suffering from back pain...
It's still best to talk it over with your doctor, but let's not dismiss the medicine our
ancestors used for hundred of yrs.

And the type of natural medicine we're prescribing is reflexology.
You know, massaging certain pressure points on your hands and feet to bring blessed relief.

To get started on your path toward ending back pain- take a comfortable chair or sit
on the floor, bring one foot over to the opposite leg, and starting at the heel, use your
thumb and massage all the way up to the big toe. Do not rush it, stay on each part
of the foot for a good 15 to 20 seconds, as you move upwards.
Stay on the inner most part of the foot for a few minutes.
Do both feet for a few minutes at a time and see if this helps put an end to the
unbearable back pain.
One man (A long distance truck driver) found this alternative method of healing
and did it for less than a week, and was able to say no thanks to back surgery
that was scheduled.

Some other tips:
* If you're unable to maneuver your feet to the opposite side, ask a loved one to do the

massage. (Go gently, too much pressure may cause further damage).
No one around to help and your also inflexible? Massage the hands, same spots,
start at the base of the thumb, and move right up to the top of the first finger.
Or do a combination of the two--hands and feet.
Another tip for hands: take all 4 fingers of the opposite hand and dig into the innermost
spot of the other hand and dig in. Do this for 30 to 45 secs.
* Want more info on reflexology? Go to Google.com and type curing back

problems with reflexology in the search bar.
* Also while you're at Google.com, type in Ellen DeGeneres/back pain/Supermarket
Rxs! click on it and read the post.
(Ellen has occasional flareups)
it too. has a number of things other than self massage
you can do alleviate your back pain--like changing your thoughts,
(positive, not negative) and diet changes, (say no to the white stuff-- flour and sugar)

So, if you're a regular guy or gal or a top dancing star, this ancient medicine
(about 500 yrs. old) may be of some help to you. (or a loved one)
Hey, it's a worth a try and it's certainly cheaper and safer than a scalpel.

Good Luck!

Hit Show's Rx For Better Moods!

Dance, Dance and Dance Some More!

In about 3 weeks another winner will be crowned on the hit show--"Dancing

With The Stars" and then, you'll have to wait for September to watch the new season again.
But for those who not only enjoy watching it, but also enjoy doing some of the moves,
continue doing so for your brain's sake.

Brain's sake, what?

According to research that's been out there for a few years now, dancing (any type of

dancing) will quickly brighten your moods.
How so?
Dancing gets blood pumping to your brain, revving alertness and increasing happiness
by triggering the production of of feel-good endorphins, while your favorite music raises
mood-elevating dopamine in your brain.

And something more impressive:
Dancing may work better than running, weightlifting and pilates at boosting moods.
With those exercises, you may have to drive somewhere, wait for equipment
or get into the mood (running) by warming up and stretching, but with dancing,
you just need a room, a park, or a stairwell and some music.

So, next time you need a mood booster or you're feeling down,
get up and boogie.

Good Luck!

Duck Dynasty's Rx For Raising Successful Kids!

Simple Solution To Raising Great Kids!

Any "Dancing With The Stars" fans out there?

Well, if you're truly a fan, then you must be impressed with the talent
displayed by the young lady known as Sadie Robertson.

What's even more impressive is that Ms. Robinson attends a school
that doesn't allow any type of dancing.
And her dancing shouldn't be the only thing that impresses you about this

young lady, her grace, her humbleness and kindness should also make you
stand up and take notice.
And if you want the secret to as to why she may be so kind, humble and
gracious, look no further than the dinner table.

The Dinner table-say what?

That's right, for yrs. parents have consulted "so-called experts" bought
child-rearing books and paid people big bucks as to the secrets of raising
great kids, and lo and behold- the answer may be your dining room table.
Big family dinners, (the way Duck Dynasty ends each show) where parents,
grandparents, kids and a neighbor or two sit around for an hour
or two may be the real key to raising great kids.

Yes, people in France, Spain, Italy and Greece have known about this
for yrs. and in the U.S. it's starting to catch on.
Food in other parts of the World is considered more than something you
chew for a few mins.  swallow and then leave the table,  no- food to
Europeans is an experience where people talk, share ideas, dreams and hopes,

learn to listen and bond.
And all of this listening, sharing, caring and bonding means lowers rates
of depression, truancy, disrespecting others, run-ins with the law, eating disorders
 and teen pregnancy.
And for the adults, it means reduced odds of having cholesterol, blood pressure
and heart disease issues.

So, if you're a mom or dad with a preteen or teen or if you plan
on becoming a mom in the not-too-distant future and you want to
see your kids become rock solid and productive adults, take a
hint from the Robinson clan, and start eating meals together.

And if you want additional info as to why the French do better in other areas of life
as well, like...fewer hospital visits, an extra 5 to 7 yrs. of life,
fewer wrinkles, less depression, less stress and better vision,
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download a copy of
see title below...

Once you download it, get started
on a happier and healthier life,
just like the French.

Hollywood's Hot New Anti-Aging Cream!

                                            Turn Back The Clock!

Searching for the latest anti-aging weapons is big business in

Hollywood. And even though a lot of people in Hollywood have the money
for surgery, laser therapy and chemical peels, many want to forgo these types
of therapies for something less invasive and less risky.
And thanks to some serious searching, there's something inexpensive

and less risky out there, what is it?
A cream.

Not just any cream, this cream is made with the hottest ingredient
in food today, and what is that?
Probiotics.
Yes, you may be familiar with probiotics thanks to commercials by

Jamie Lee Curtis and John Stamos.

It's a "healthy bacteria" you can find in yogurt, pickles,
sauerkraut and kimchi and the more healthy bacteria in your
system, the better your health will be.

And in relation to anti-aging, someone has developed beauty
products with probiotics added to them.
Probiotics in these beauty products promise to smooth and plump
your skin, plus they rev the production of collagen.

So, are you ready to apply some probiotics to your face, neck and

hands? Head online to BurtsBees.com and pick up a jar of
Burt's Bee Intense Hydration Night Cream. Price $18 for a jar.

And to turn back the clock, apply the cream before going
to bed.

One last tip: want some food tips on ways to look and feel younger?

DWTS' Rx To A Great Tan!

                         Suntanning Season Is Here!

If you're a fan of "Dancing With The Stars" like we are,

then you know all about James, Candice, Danica, Charlie,
Meryl, NeNe and Drew.

But are you aware that a lot of stars have to get tans?

That's right, they don't have time to tan due to the amount of
training they have to put in each day.
So, they have members of DWTS staff apply self tanning applications.
And if you're short of time and also use self tanners, then make sure
you avoid the problems that come with self tanners.
The problems: Streaks, uneven color and stains (especially on your hands)

If this is you and you don't have a team of stylists to apply self tanners,
do the following...
Use self tanning butter sponges. One to try: Bronze Butter,
find it online at BronzeButter.com. Simply wet the sponge, then gently
buff your skin to eliminate streaks, remove tanner from your palms
and lighten too-dark color.

Another tip:  Used dry sponges to easily remove deodorant stains
from clothing.

That's it- We can't guarantee you'll look like Maksim or Val,

but you'll certainly look a whole lot better with an evenly, stain and
streak-free tan.

Good Luck!

Dance Your Way To a Beautiful Body!

Actress Eva Longoria, appeared on the T.V. show "Extra" and
was given the opportunity to ask a top plastic surgeon one question.
Her question:
"How can I keep my butt high and tight?"
The surgeon suggested some type of surgery.

Ms. Longoria still looks good for a women of 38, and the answer to
her question may not be in a surgeon's office, but the dance floor.

That's right, Ms. Longoria as a woman of Spanish heritage.
shouldn't have any problem dancing her way to a tighter and higher
bum.

Why dancing?
Dances like the tango and the jive can improve any rear end in record time.
The squatting and hip movement work all areas of the rear end, keeping
it tight and high.
Another benefit of dance:
Dancing also helps change your mind set about what your body
can do rather than how it looks. Women who engage in dance
as in taking a class or dancing with friends or family
boost levels of happiness as well.

So, if you're like Ms. Longoria and concerned about
body parts dropping, then it may be time to hit the dance

Wendy Williams' Rx For Slowing Down Aging!

                    Stop The Aging Process!

Wendy Williams, the extremely popular T.V. host is gaining in popularity-
thanks to her easy-breezy monlogue in the beginning and her mix of
cooking segments, gossip and interesting guests.
One thing Ms. Williams loves to do, may not only help put
you in a better mood, it may also help slow down the aging process.

What is it?
Using the DVR.

That's right- Not really using the DVR, but watching a certain type of
show on the DVR is what's really responsible for slowing down the aging process.

Ms. Williams always says that her busy schedule prevents her from watching her
favorite shows, so she has someone DVR them and she watches them later.
And if you aren't able to watch your favorites, just make sure to record them
and get back to them later.

Oh wait- there's one more catch- what is it?
Make sure the shows are comedies, why? Laughter prompts the brain to produce
an incredible 85% of the anti-aging hormone. This hormone will boost the production
of skin-firming collagen, make muscles and bones stronger, give your heart a workout
and keep your moods upbeat and positive.

So, if you're looking to turn back the clock and be more like Wendy Williams-
(she'll be 50 in a yr.). remember to DVR-I Love Lucy, Seinfeld, the
monologues from Jimmy Kimmel , Jimmy Fallon and the hot new sitcom,
Modern Family and
you'll be on your way to looking and feeling 10 or
more yrs. younger.

Kelly Osbourne's Rx For Weight Loss!

                         Lose Weight Like Kelly!

Kelly Osbourne, one of the hosts' of T.V.'s "Fashion Police" and
youngest child of Ozzie and Sharon has struggled with weight

for quite some time. At 5'2" she says it was difficult to lose weight
and keep it off, and that's not all- another obstacle to her weight loss-

the constant media scrutiny and Christina Aguilera.

Yes, that Christina Aguilera -from the T.V. show "The Voice!"
Kelly and Christina traded some very hurtful verbal jabs about
talent, looks and weight, and today- it's Christina who's struggling
with her weight.

So, what is Kelly doing to stay trim and fit?
She says that her "Dancing With The Stars" partner Louis VanAmstel,
was the biggest influence, helping her with a diet and exercise plan.

The diet Ms. Osbourne follows is one that's sensible and manageable.
The diet: Breakfast--egg whites, turkey bacon, and cooked vegetables.
Lunch: A turkey burger with a salad.
Dinner: Brown rice and more vegetables.
That's the diet, sensible but not too suffocating.

And Ms. Osbourne also does something that's bound to make the diet
work for years and years, what is it?
She has a "cheat day!"
What is that? A day in which she eats whatever she wants,
and on her cheat day, Kelly wants Pizza.

Dieting experts say eating low-cal 7 days a week, may work for
1 out of a hundred people, but having a cheat day, means that
you'll most likely stick with a good diet most of the time,

knowing that on Fri. Sat. or Sun. you can have hot wings, mac and cheese,
pizza and gooey brownies.
And lastly, don't forget exercise- Kelly enjoys Pilates,
light weight training and dancing.

That's it- and if you want to read more of Kelly's diet and
exercise secrets- go to Radaronline.com and learn a few more
of her dieting secrets.

Dancing With The Stars Rx For Achy Muscles!

                           Dance Up A Storm!

Dancing With The Stars starts a new season Sept. 24th.
This season will be different- how? All of the contestants
have been on the show before, stars like...

Emmitt Smith, Melissa Rycroft, Drew Lachey and of course
Kirstie Allie.
If you only watch the show for the dancing and to see the costumes,

why not change that and take up dancing?
Take up dancing?

That's right- according to new research-dancing can make your

you healthier in a number of ways, like... A better memory, fewer
aches and pains and weight loss and weight maintenance.

Firstly, let's start with memory.
If you take up ballroom or tap, remembering the intricate steps
is a great way for you to build up your memory. And learning these
dance steps at 50, 60 or 70 is a great way to stave off Alzheimer's
and it'll keep you active.

Secondly, fewer aches and pains?
Yes, as you age you're more likely to
slow down and become less active- big mistake. Dancing helps you
stretch and tone muscles, improve flexibility and reduce muscle stiffness.
Word of caution: If dancing is too much, start with gentle stretching and
beginner's yoga.

Thirdly, Lose and maintain weight-
Ever notice the dancers and their trim physiques?
Well, they don't get if from hours at the gym or on the treadmill.
If weight is an issue and you're not able to stick with weightlifting

or spinning classes, perhaps a dance class is just what you need.

That's It- Some health lessons from "Dancing With The Stars!"

"Dancing With The Stars" has revealed her secrets for looking
slim and trim at age 40.

Her secrets:
a) Sleep. Brooke understands and follows the rules of getting enough
sleep. Without it, you can raise risks for diabetes, heart disease,
weight gain and breast cancer.
b) Eat Like The Greeks-

Brooke follows the Mediterranean style of eating... fish, nuts,
seeds, olive oil, dark honey, yogurt,  fruits and plenty of veggies.
In fact, people who follow this type of diet, usually live an average of

c) Get The Kids Involved-
Brooke has four kids, (all hers) and they help out in the kitchen,
by cutting vegetables, setting the table, etc.

teen problems later in life...  Smoking, skipping school, bad grades,
and trouble with the law.
d) Indulge-
Brooke can't live on fish, nuts, olive oil and veggies alone,
she does have a "cheat day" and when she does go off her
diet, it's for  carbs, pizza, a grinder with meat and cheese
or some Italian bread with Ravioli. She's also a big fan of wine-
thanks to her husband-who hails from France. (Former Baywatch star
David Charvet). As for sweets, Ms. Brooke could easily live without them.

Dancing With The Stars Rx For A Makeup Remover!

Dancing With The Star Makeup Tip!
If you've been reading this blog for awhile then you may remember the post
about Dancing star-Karina Smirnoff's tip on maintaining weight.
She takes a tsp. of olive oil first thing in the morning,
waits and hour and then eats. Olive oil creates a feeling of fullness

and fills your stomach, helping you to resist those cravings
for burgers, fries and cinnabuns later in the day.
It must be working, Ms. Smirnoff will be 35 yrs. old in a yr. or two.

Well, according to some, olive oil isn't just for killing
hunger and boosting metabolism.
Some makeup artists say that olive oil mixed with a little water
is a great way to remove makeup.  Not only is it gentler than
some makeup removers, it's cheaper and moisturizing as well.
Another benefit: If you or a loved one loves to work on cars,
olive oil is better than a lot of soaps-removing the grime & dirt.

That's it- And don't forget to watch the new season of "Dancing With The Stars"
starting March 19th.
And another thing: If you or a loved one is suffering from sneezing,
eyes watering, red eyes and headaches due to early allergy season,
