Hollywood's Superhero Rx For Better Eyesight!

                             Improve Vision With Food!

Hollywood loves telling stories about superheroes-Spiderman, Ironman,
Batman and of course Superman. Why the appeal? Perhaps it allows
young men and women to reconnect to childhood or maybe we just
want some of those "superpowers" ourselves.

You know superpowers like an increase in strength, hearing, or vision.
But wait, you don't have to become a superhero to get super vision,
no- all you need to do is take a trip to your local supermarket or
farmers's market and pick up some of the foods that'll help you achieve
better vision.
Foods Like...
a) Green Beans-
Plentiful this time of yr., green beans are particularly helpful for those
who want to improve their night vision. Gr. beans contain the two pigments-
lutein and zeaxanthin, both of which help to heal and protect the retinal
cells that enhance your ability to recognize fine details, reduce blind spots
and improve vision in dim lights.
b) Eggs-
Yes, eggs. often given a bad rap as a food that'll increase cholesterol, but
it's the opposite, an egg a few times a week can help you in a number of ways,
especially concerning your eyesight. Contain the same two pigments as green
beans and help you when driving at night.
c) Summer Squash-
Especially green squash, another food that helps those who do a lot
of night driving.
d) Sunflower Seeds-
Reread our post about a week ago, it explains how sunflower seeds
can help get rid of nearsightedness.
e) Fish-
Yesterday's post- explained how fatty fish like sardines and salmon
can boost moods and help prevent depression. Well, if dry eyes are
happening-get more of the good fat that's found in fish.
f) Watch What You Eat-
Simply put- watch how you prepare your eggs, fish, green beans and squash.
Cooking with too much fat (bacon grease) lard or butter is a disaster-not
only for your waistline but eyesight as well. And watch the other foods as well,
like a thick char broiled steak, 8 oz. burgers, hot dogs and bacon. These types
of foods also contribute to you losing your vision over the yrs.
g) Exercise-
You have to exercise to stay thin and keep your heart in shape, well the eyes
need exercise as well. One simple exercise to strengthen eyes- sit in a
comfortable chair or on the floor, and look at the wall in front of you.
Now, move your eyes from left to right, (about 10 times) and then up and
down (another 10 times) and then finish up by moving your eyes in circles,

another 10 times. Do this a few times a week and watch how your vision improves.

That's it- Now when you look at Superman or Spiderman and wish
that you can have just one of their superpowers- today you can,
thanks to certain foods.

Good Luck!

The Avenger's Rx For Beautiful Legs!

                     Great Legs For Summer!

According to the news on diets the stars follow to get into
"swimsuit shape" Scarlett Johansson, the petite star of
"The Avengers" follows a "mostly vegan" diet.
You know, no meat, dairy, eggs, fish. etc.
Although she cheated occasionally and had
Non-dairy oatmeal cookies, she was able to be in tip-top
shape for the first day of filming.

Well, Ms. Johansson giving up dairy may have done
more than reduce her weight to get into that sleek suit,
she also gave herself cellulite-free legs.
Cellulite and dairy, what's the connection?

Dairy contains casein, a hard-to-digest protein molecule
that gets stuck in lymph nodes and creates a backup of the
lymphatic fluids that carry waste of out of the body.
And as a result, the toxins in the fluids build up in the surrounding
tissue and weaken the connective tissue, which is used to keep
fat cells from bulging against the skin. And giving up dairy can
restore lymphatic circulation so the cottage cheese causing waste
can be eliminated.

So, if you've been struggling with unsightly dimples on the back
of your legs, see if going dairy-free helps.
And for those who won't part with their piece of cheese, or that
tall glass of milk, use the Juice alternative.
