Ah Winter, the shorter days, too little sunlight, brutal winds
and an endless buffet that goes from Halloween right up to
Valentine's day.

And all of those things can do a number on your waistline,
lips, feet, complexion, hair and nails.

That''s right, in the Summer it seems the Sun is your only
enemy, in the Winter, you have a number of enemies.
And if you want to avoid one of the beauty woes that occurs

this time of year, then you must take action and use the following tip.

First, what's one of the biggest beauty concerns women have this
time of year?

Dry complexions.
And if your regular moisturizer isn't getting the job done,

do this instead...
* For oily skin-- Smooth on an oil-free cream for extra moisture.
A product to try-Simple Kind To Skin Protecting Light Moisturizer,
available at drugstores or beauty supply stores.
This moisturizer won't cause breakouts or make you look too shiny.

Comedy Central's Rx For Beautiful Winter Skin!

                               DumbStarbucks' and Dry Winter Skin!

Did you see the story about the coffee shop known as DumbStarbucks?
Well, many people were led to believe that it was a real coffee shop hoping
to grab attention and money away from the real Starbucks.
And after only a day, we found out the truth- it was a makeshift coffee shop
set up by the  T.V. network--Comedy Central.
They were trying to get attention for their new upcoming comedy series
and not trying to replace the real coffee giant.

Now that you're aware of the real story behind the Faux Starbucks, there
is one thing about coffee you should know  and it doesn't matter if it comes
from a real coffee shop or one that was put up to fool unsuspecting customers.
And what is that, you ask?
Drinking caffeinated coffee at home or at a coffee shop can do a number
on your skin.

That's right- researchers say the dryness  and flakiness you may be experiencing
may be from the dark and cold Winter weather, but caffeine is also a contributor.
So, to help your skin regain its youthfulness, do the following...

For every caffeinated beverage you have, make sure your next one (cup of coffee)
is decaffeinated.
Caffeine is a diuretic that zaps skin cells of moisture, making the dryness worse
and cutting back or cutting out caffeinated beverages will help lock in moisture.

Another bonus: less caffeine also makes your Winter moisturizer much more effective.

That's it- a Winter skin tip for caffeinated coffee lovers.

Good Luck!

Kristen Bell's Rx To Beat Dry Winter Skin!

                       Looking Great All Winter Long!

Has your skin suffered from the hardships of Winter?
You know-the dry indoor air,  the cold weather and of course,
the high calorie foods that go from Oct. 31st right up until
Valentine's day.

Well, if you've been drinking tons of water and using lots
of moisturizer in the hopes of keeping skin moist and supple,
you may want to use a favorite food of some popular stars.

That's right- Stars like Kristen Bell, Dr. Oz and Emma Rossum
are big fans of the vegetable Kale.
In fact, the pregnant Ms. Bell was one of the first stars to sing the
praises of kale, mainly kale chips.
And according to new research- Ms. Bell was onto something,
that something: Kale is one of the best foods to help you overcome
the dry and dull skin of Winter.
A cup or two a day, either stir-fried, juiced or shredded and added to a salad
make the fine lines disappear and the undereye circles less visible.
Kale is loaded with high levels of vitamin A, K and C, and all three vitamins-
work in unison to repair and rejuvenate damaged skin.

So, if heavy makeup has been your go-to remedy to hide your skin,
listen to Dr. Oz and Kristen Bell and fill your plate with Kale.
Good Luck!

Ellen DeGeneres' Rx For Beating Dry Winter Skin!

                              Ellen's Beauty Secret!
On today's Ellen Degeneres show-she featured the popular segment-
"Far-Out Beauty secrets with the zany and gorgeous Kym Douglas.

Ms. Douglas is our kind of woman, she uses things that are relatively

safe, inexpensive and are found in supermarkets, refrigerators or malls.

With that said, we'd like to tell you how to soften your dried-out
Winter skin with something that you probably use everyday and throw
out.

That something: Citrus Peels!
Citrus peels offer a host of benefits-like...
a) Cleaning and grating a little orange, tangerine or lime peel
into your fruit salad reduces skin cancer rates, lowers stroke
risk and stops constant dizziness,
b) Placing lemon, lime, grapefruit, and tangerine peels around
your yard, will stop cats from digging holes and uprooting
plants. Cats hate the scent of citrus peels.

And finally:

c) Combat Dry Winter Skin- That's right, a new use for all of those
peels you throw out. Toss em into a warm bath. The zest from the peels
will infuse the water with natural oils and acids that will slough
off dead skin cells and nourish the healthy skin underneath.
Plus, the pleasant scent from all of those peels, will boost energy.

That's It- A tip that'll make Kym Douglas and Ellen proud.

Good Luck!
