Hollywood's Rx For A Beautiful Smile!

Fall Food For That Beautiful Smile!
In Hollywood, a lot of beauty procedures mean going under the knife,
getting needles or having laser treatments.

These types of procedures also come with great risks
and high price tags.

But wait, there's a growing number of stars that want something
natural and inexpensive. Stars like Jessica Alba and Jamie Lee Curtis.
And one those natural treatments is for your smile.
A beautiful smile doesn't have to cost thousands and come with risks,
just head to your supermarket and stock up on Cranberries.
Not the canned type, but fresh cranberries.

This food is a powerhouse in terms of helping you stay healthy,
and new research says it can also keep teeth and gums in tip-top shape.
Cranberries are packed with compounds called condensed tannins that block
the formation of plaque and stop damaging bacteria from sticking to your
teeth and gums.
Use the cranberries in smoothies, salads and baked goods (low-cal of course).
So, if you want your teeth to look their whitest and brightest like a lot of your
favorite stars, stock up on fresh cranberries.

Good Luck!

Rachael Ray's Food Rx For Beautiful Teeth!

                               Stronger and Whiter Teeth!

Rachael Ray, the host of her own her show, did an interesting segment
on her show last week.
The segment: Foods that boost beauty. The fashion maven-Gretta Monahan,
broke from her usual comfort zone of fashion and showed how some

foods actually help you look more beautiful.
Ms. Monahan talked about teeth and how to build enamel, and the food
she said would do it...Cheese.

Yes, cheese, more specifically, a hard cheddar. Eating cheese a few times
a week means less decay, thanks to the harder enamel from all of that cheese.
Cheese neutralizes the acid in the mouth that the cavity-causing bacteria feed on.
So, if you're concerned about tooth decay and want something natural,
pick up some good quality hard cheddar cheese.

And if you're concerned about weight or if you have problems with dairy,
disregard this  tip. Or better yet, eat chickpeas, they too, also protect the
teeth from decay.

Good Luck!

Julia Robert's Rx For Whiter Teeth!

Get a Whiter and Brighter Smile!

Julia Roberts, America's sweetheart before Reese Witherspoon took the title,
just revealed a funny little story about how she keeps her teeth clean.
In fact, it's something her grandfather taught her and if you have a grandma
or grandpa who used household products to treat medical issues or for cleaning,
then you have something in common with Ms. Julia!

Her teeth cleaning secret: Baking Soda!
That's right- the 89 cent box of "do everything" is the secret remedy
Julia Roberts uses to keep her teeth clean.

Some people are doing away with their regular toothpaste after hearing
about the number of things in it that can harm your health.

So, if you want to do away with the pricey container of white goo that
passes as toothpaste and use something our relatives have been relying on
for decades, pick up a box or two of baking soda today.

To use- pour a little in your hand (a clean hand) run your toothbrush under
hot water for a few secs. and then dip it in the hand with the baking soda.
Brush for 30 to 60 secs. (no more than that, or you'll brush off too much enamel)
and once or twice a week, after finishing your teeth, run the toothbrush over your lips.
You'll have the softest, most kissable lips around.

And if you're still not convinced, remember these 2 facts.
a) Julia Roberts said her grandfather had only one cavity in his adult life.
b) Oprah also is a big proponent of baking soda, she hasn't used toothpaste
in almost 3 decades.

Good Luck!
