A Girl's Favorite Snack Rx To Stop Stress!

Snack on This To Stop Stress!

What are a girl's best friend?
If you said Diamonds, head to the front of the class
and get your gold star.
Now, what's a girl best treat or snack?
If you said popcorn, you're wrong, for most women, it's
Chocolate.
And it doesn't matter if you live in Ohio or Hollywood Ca.
almost all women have some (Choc.) a few times a week.

And according to recent polls, some women love it (Choc.)
more than diamonds and sex.

And if you've been stressing out lately, (back-to-school shopping,
making plans for Labor day or planning one last vacation before school)
then you really need some Choc. Why?
New research says that choc. has flavonoids, which are special compounds
that stop your body from churning out the stress hormones that trigger
a racing heartbeat, sweaty palms and other stressful reactions.
Just make sure it's a top quality dark chocolate (70% or 85%)
and do not, use the chocolate to make brownies or cake.
White flour and sugar will surely make stress levels go up,
as well your weight.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Rx For Leftover Valentine's Day Gifts!

                    Champagne and Chocolate!

Another Valentine's day is gone, and for many of you out there,
that means leftovers. No, we're not talking spaghetti or steak,
the leftovers we're talking about is champagne, chocolate and
roses.
Do you have these things? And if you do, what do plan on doing with
them?
If you're not sure, use them again, but use to make yourself more beautiful.

That's right- Leftover Valentine's day gifts as personal spa treatments.
In Hollywood, the name of the game is recycling and today, you're going to
be like Hollywood and recycle those gifts.
Look below, and learn how Valentine's day gifts can make you more
youthful and beautiful.

a) Champagne-
Too expensive for most, and that's why you can't let any of it go to waste.
Leftover champagne can thicken hair. Yup, if thinning hair is a concern, let
Dom Perignon work his magic. To use: Wash your hair, and instead of conditioner,
pour a cup of champagne into your hair. Massage it in, leave it alone for an hour or
a few hours, and then rinse it out.

The grapes in champagne contain vitamin B and other antioxidants that strip
dulling buildup to help hair look thicker and more lustrous.
Flat champagne also works.
And no, your hair won't smell like Champagne.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b) Chocolate-

Tired of spending money on expensive creams and moisturizers?
Save your money and use unsweetened cocoa. Run a bath and pour in
1 cup of milk and 2 tbsps. of unsweetened cocoa powder.

Hop in, lie back and relax for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cocoa rebuilds skin and makes it more elastic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
c) Roses-
Don't let those roses die, take the petals, drop them into a basin
of warm water and soak your feet for 10 to 15 mins.

Crushing the petals releases the oils and the oils help soften
the rough skin on your feet, (especially the heels).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's it-- 3 uses for those leftover Valentine's day gifts.

Good Luck!

certain foods as medicine.

One food they talked about was Chocolate.  The reporter-Diane McInerney,

wanted to know if Chocolate was a really a health food.
The answer of course was yes, but there's a catch, the catch:

that might interest you- it'll help you live longer.
Eating or drinking a few ozs. a day, help keep serious diseases
at bay. Diseases like heart disease, strokes, some cancers,
and Alzheimer's.

So, look for chocolate or cocoa that contains 70% cocoa,
and eat a little or pour some cocoa into a mug, add some hot water

and add a little honey and drink up.

That's it- and if you're a baker and love holiday treats like peanut
brittle, gingersnaps or sugar cookies read how these treats will boost
your health. Go to SupermarketRxs@typepad.com for the answers.
