Beauty Queen's Rx For Maintaining Winter Beauty!

                          Treat Your Feet This Winter!

This Sunday, the 25th of Jan. will mark another edition of  the "Miss Universe"

pageant. It's a pageant for the most beautiful women around the World, and
most of the women who've entered the contest follow some type of diet, exercise
and beauty regime.
And if you too, follow some sort of beauty regime, make sure to give thanks to
creator or Queen, or architect of the at-home beauty treatment.
Who is it?
It's Cleopatra.

Yes, that Cleopatra, "the Queen of the Nile" was very concerned about
maintaining her youth and looking her best way back when.
And if you're concerned about the toll Winter takes on your skin

and particularly your feet, use the same treatment used by
the Queen.

The treatment:  a milk and honey bath or a basin of milk and honey just
for your feet.
You see, feet especially in the Winter crack and peel and one way to
overcome and even avoid this is with some milk and honey.
This combo is great for the Winter because the lactic acid in milk
softens calloused skin and the honey locks in moisture.
To do an at-home spa treatment, just heat up some milk
2 or 3 cups. add some honey 2 Tbs. and pour into a basin
(large enough for your feet) Allow the milk to cool down,
place your feet in and sit back and relax for 15 to 20 mins.
After that, pat your feet dry and put on your favorite nail
polish.

This combo (milk and honey) also works on your whole body
(reportedly Cleopatras' favorite) but make sure to do it
only once a week, Why? Buying gallon sizes of milk (just to bathe in)
can get expensive.
And if that's the case, use the 99 cent alternative that Julia Roberts,

another Queen, Latifah, and Oprah swear by, what is it?
Baking soda.
That's right, pouring some into  a basin or a bath also softens your skin.
That's it, another tip to help you maintain your beauty during the
cold, windy and shorter days of Winter.
And if you enjoyed this tip, and want more tips on how
celebrities like Trisha Yearwood, Ellen, Sophia Loren,
and Cameron Diaz stay fit, energized and youthful during
the Winter season, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and
type, see title to the right in the search bar, download it
and get all of the answers.

Chocolate Sugar Scrub For Your Feet!

If you're into pop culture, then you may know all about the
rabid fans of actress Claire Danes.
No- these aren't fans of her acting or her good looks, these
fans are obsessed with her feet.

and you want to keep them that way, try this at-home (inexpensive)
pedicure.

Homeland's Rx For Sandal Season!

                                        Homemade Spa Treatment!

Claire Danes, the talented star of the Showtime series "Homeland"
gets a lot of attention on a specific body part, or shall we say 2 body parts.

What are they?
No, not that body part, it's her feet.

And with the Spring season finally here, a lot of women
will also be concerned about the look of their feet.
If you're not able to get your usual pedicure done due to

the economy, you can do-it-yourself.
That's right- and before getting started, save even more money
and make your own "Pedicure Scrub" How?
Look below and learn.

First, figure out the type of feet you have and then make
a scrub according to your foot type.
a) Sensitive Skin-
These types of feet don't need a heavy scrub, so it's best to use
baking soda. Baking soda mixed with a little warm water is best.
b) Normal Skin-
You can use a scrub that's a little more abrasive.
Go with some sugar (white or brown) and some olive or canola
oil. The sugar removes the rough patches and the olive or canola

oil moisturizes the skin.
c) Rough Skin-
You won't need sanding paper, just some sea salt and oil.
(Olive or canola). The salt and oil will really work on calloused
skin.

So, if you've been trying to save money, you can start here
and avoid paying for pricey scrubs.
And for those who want the perfect 10-step program (taken from a top Spa)
on the best way to do your own pedicure,

look for it in new our E-newsletter at Amazon.com/ in the kindle store.

Hollywood's Rx To Pamper Your Feet!

Simple Solution To Treat Dry Winter Feet!

With the Winter season here, skin, hair, nails and feet will
suffer from the dry indoor air. Your feet will become dry and
scaly especially if you wear boots on a regular basis.

Luckily, there's a simple cure and you may already have it
in your kitchen cupboard, what is it?
Baking soda! A spa owner says there's really no need to invest
a small fortune in creams and moisturizers, when a little baking
soda will do the trick.

To do- Get out a large basin, fill it with warm water and 3 tbsps.
of baking soda. Place your feet in the basin for 10 to 15 mins.
After that, take your feet out of the basin, and remove the water.
While your feet are still damp, (inside of the basin or in the tub)
place a little baking soda mixed with salt or sugar (brown or white)
on the rough surfaces and calluses of your feet and rub away.
After finishing this next step, rinse your feet off and towel dry.
Get out your favorite moisturizer, or vaseline or canola oil
and massage some on both the tops and bottom of your feet,

Put on a pair of thick, clean socks and leave them on overnight
or until your Christmas party or family gathering.

That's it- Another inexpensive tip to help you look like a star,
without having to spend money like a star.

Good Luck!

Claire Danes' Rx For All-Day Calm!

                      Stay Calm Like Claire!

Claire Danes the star of the cable series Homeland, has quite a following,
or shall we say, her feet have quite a following. How big of a following?
There are sites dedicated to her feet. Go to Google.com and type Claire
Danes feet in the subject line, if you want proof.

But today, the post is how to get calm by going barefoot.
If stress is a constant in your life and if you want to feel more relaxed,
kick off your shoe like Ms. Danes and lower your stress levels.
That's right- the feet have thousands of nerve endings, and going barefoot
stimulates pressure points on the soles, and as you stimulate those
pressure points, you send a  signal your brain to release the calming
hormone dopamine.

Just walking 10 minutes a day on grass, sand, carpeting or a textured surface
like a cobblestone mat (available at Home Depot) can have you feeling
more relaxed in no time.
Another option: have a loved one give you a foot massage, or if you're
flexible enough, give yourself one for a few mins. each day.

That's it- Another healthy alternative to drugs or prescription pills.
For more tips like the one above, go to Amazon.com/the kindle store
and order- Natural Alternatives To Xanax!

Claire Danes' Rx For A Low Cost Pedicure!

Smooth and Silky Feet Like Claire!
Claire Danes who bursted onto the scene with the T.V. series-"My So Called Life"
is now all grown up and the star of the hit T.V. show "Homeland!"

In addition to her acting work-she's getting a lot of attention for her feet.
People with foot fetishes have  deemed her feet to be the "prettiest" in Hollywood.
Vanessa Hudgens and Jenny McCarthy may have something to say about that.

How popular are Ms. Danes feet? There are web sites that are
devoted to her feet and her feet only.
Well, if you think you have feet that can put Ms. Danes' to shame
and want to keep them that way- use this simple and inexpensive
solution to keep them silky smooth and callus-free.

The Pretty Feet Rx:
Crush some aspirin- (buy inexpensive aspirin) mix the aspirin with a
small amount of water- and make a paste.
Apply this paste to the callused areas, wrap your feet (the whole foot)
in a damp towel. Prop your feet up on a stool or automann.  Leave the towels on
for 10 mins. After 10 mins. remove the towels and wipe your feet down with a damp
washcloth and marvel at the results.

Why aspirin?
The salicylic acid in acid helps loosen the dead, hardened skin on heels and toes
so the calluses flake right off. Make sure you don't have any cuts on your feet,
or the aspirin might sting.
Also important: A daily Aspirin may be recommended to ward off heart disease,
but taking it for days, months and yrs. may cause internal bleeding and other
health problems. Using them (aspirin) on your feet shouldn't cause any
such problems.

That's It- A money saving alternative to a pricey pedicure, and if you willing-
Google Claire Danes Feet and see if your feet stack up against hers.
Happy Valentine's Day!

Good Luck!
