A Star's Rx To Boost Moods!

                             Eat Like Kristin!

If you're a fan of Kristin Chenoweth, then you already know about her incredible

voice, acting and dancing ability, what you may not know is that Ms. Chenoweth,
the Oklahoma native, loves beef.

What's so unusual about that?
Nothing, but in Veggie loving N.Y. and California, she's a rarity.

And if you too, like beef, continue to indulge, why?
It (beef) can keep you from getting down, blue or depressed.
That's right, fatty fish always got the credit for being one of the best
non-medicinal ways to beat bad moods, but today, beef is also being
recognized for it's ability to help you prevent or overcome down and dark
moods.

Thanks to research done in Britain,  the researchers discovered that beef
is a top source of an amino acid (L-tyrosine) and this amino acid prompts
the brain to produce the happiness-boosting neurotransmitter called  dopamine.
Plus, beef contains fatty acids that slow the absorption of carbohydrates,
and this cuts your risk of post-meal blood sugar swings- along with the fatigue
and grumpiness that they trigger---in half.

So, if you're like Kristin and love your beef, continue to enjoy it,

and if you do have it (beef) to combat blue moods, remember-
have it (beef) with vegetables and unprocessed grains.
Eating beef with white bread (buns) fries, white rice and other
processed foods will only keep you depressed and beefy ( overweight).

Good Luck!

Popular T.V. Show Rx To Stop Winter Weight Gain!

                           Downton Abbey's Favorite Beverage!

Any Downton Abbey fans out there?

Well, it rumored that "bad boy" rapper Sean P. Diddy Combs never
misses an episode and if you are a super fan, then you know that this is the
last year it will be on and you also know that the cast drank a lot...
a lot of tea.

That's right, the English have a reputation for their drinking,
tea and beer, and today- we're talking about tea.
Black tea is the preferred type of tea in England, but if Winter weight
gain is an issue, you may want to make black tea and add a few slices of
fresh ginger to it.

Why ginger?
Ginger is a diuretic, and diuretics release trapped fats and fluids from your system,
it can also relieve swelling, bloating and water retention, (consider it a safer and

cheaper diet pill) and drinking 2 to 3 cups of ginger tea a day can help you slim
down easily and effortlessly.

So, if you're struggling with weight and the cold and all of the goodies that
are served during the cold months, remember--Ginger tea is the

easiest and natural solution to help you overcome it.
Also important: Make sure to avoid adding extra sugar to your tea and
the sweets that also go along with it (tea,) like.. cannolis, brownies, cookies,
danish, donuts, shortbread, muffins, etc.

And lastly, if you're not one who's struggling with weight and you like tea,

make it black tea, it can help women overcome fertility issues, help
both sexes sleep better, make you calmer and improve your vision.

Good Luck!

Downton Abbey's Green Rx!

                  The Tea Rx From England!

Are you a fan of the English series "Downton Abbey?"

It just aired its last episode and that's mean a long wait
for those of us who can't get enough of the hit series.

If you're a really a fan, then you know that tea plays
a big part in the show. Yes, we're talking about the beverage,
and it seems to be the beverage of choice for a lot of Brits.
But did you know that you can get benefits from tea by not
drinking it?

That's right--with the big "green" movement going on, you can
improve your skin and clean your house with a tea bag or two.
So, look below, and learn how the beverage of Great Britain,
can really help you in more ways than you think.
a) Razor Burns-
Spring is almost here and that means more bare legs,
and if nicks and cuts are a part of your shaving routine,
put an end to it. How?
Wet a tea bag and hold it against the spots you cut or nicked.
Tea has tannic acids and that acid helps lower inflammation.
b) Healthier Plants-
Before potting a plant, place tea bags on the drainage hole of the
planter. They'll help retain water and keep your plant full of life.
c) Mirror-Mirror-
Mirror, Mirror whose the dirtiest mirror of them all?
If you say it's my house, clean them the "green" way... with tea bags.
Brew some tea, make it strong and let it cool. Then get a cloth
(clean) or paper towels or newspaper and clean the mirrors throughout
the house. Finish up by wiping the mirrors down with a dry cloth.
d) Pots and Pans-
Does your sauce stick to the pan? How about beef stew?
If you want an easier method to help clean up those pots and
pans, allow a tea bag or two to assist you.

Fill the pot or pan with some warm water, add some dish detergent,
(a tbs.) and then throw in 2 tea bags. Let sit for a few hrs. or overnight
and the stuck on food will be a cinch to clean up.
e) Odors In The Fridge-
That box of baking soda in the fridge doesn't work like it
used to at eliminating odors, that's okay, try the new method
of getting rid of the stench, what is it? Tea!
If you have tea everyday, hold onto the tea bags.
Collect about 6 and place them in a bowl or small container,
and then place this container in the back of the refrigerator.

Leave for a few days and then remove them. Start saving those
tea bags again and repeat the process.
f) Youthful Skin-
Who doesn't want to look younger? (Kim Novak) Well, if dry and
aging skin is a concern, run a bath and throw in a few tea bags.
The tea helps hydrate the skin, leaving it dewy and soft.
Another tip: If you eat oranges, save the peels and toss them in with the
tea bags for some extra soft skin.

That's it for now, until the next Downton Abbey episode, Good Day!

Good Luck!
