Talk Show Hosts' Worst Vegetable Rx!

Wendy Williams Rx For Better Health!

Talk show Wendy Williams just revealed she hates Okra.
Not surprising, most of us have one, two or a lot of vegetables we hate.
For some it may be broccoli, for others Brussels sprouts or for
Jay Leno and Whoopi Goldberg it's all vegetables.

Ms. Williams doesn't like okra because of the "slime" that's

in the center, and if you share her dislike of this vegetable,
just let it be known that okra offers a host of health benefits, like...
a) Pregnant Moms-
Want to reduce a baby's odds of getting birth defects?
Eat some okra throughout your pregnancy. High in Folic acid,
the mineral that helps prevent birth defects.
b) Katie Couric-
Katie's first husband died of Colon cancer at the age of 42,
and if you want to avoid going the same way, start eating okra.
c) Kidneys and Liver-
Eat some okra to keep these 2 organs in tiptop shape.
d) Breathe Easier-
Yes, it's true, asthma rates are going down, help them go down
even more by adding some okra to your diet.
e) Hair and Skin-
Ladies, (and some Men) want to keep your hair from thinning out
and losing its shine? Add some okra to your daily menus.
As for skin: It (okra) helps skin stay smooth and supple.

So, Ms. Williams may hate the sliminess of Okra, but she's
missing out on a number of health benefits.

If you want to try it and aren't sure how to cook it,
go online to Google and type okra recipes in the search bar.
Thanks to the web, there aren't any more excuses for not eating
this or that.

Good Luck!

Ellen's Rx To Entertain Your Cat!

                                     Entertain Kitty For Pennies!

Ellen Degeneres and Jay Leno are two of America's most famous cat
lovers. And cats like children, need and want to be entertained.
Leave kids and cats alone for a period of time, and they'll get into
all kinds of mischief.

Luckily, keeping cats entertained is easier and a lot less expensive than
it is for kids, so if you have a cat or two and want to keep them busy,
just do the following...
Take an old shoe box with the lid, and cut out 3 holes in the top and sides,
then place a ping-pong ball or two inside and finish it up by taping
up the ends.

This should keep your cat entertained and hopefully,
they'll leave the bird cage, the plants and the toilet paper roll
alone.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Rx For Traveling With Pets!

                        Traveling With Pets!

A lot of stars love their pets, Hillary Swank, Channing Tatum and
Ellen Degeneres to name a few, and that love extends to traveling
with them.

But some pets have anxiety, anxiety that can make the trip extra long
and difficult. If you have a nervous Fido or Fifi, look for the flower
that's gaining in popularity for its ability to help you sleep and
lower your anxiety levels.

The Flower: Lavender!
That's right- look for lavender essential oil at health food stores
and spray a little on the seats before setting off- and watch Fido
or Fifi behave better than a sleeping child.
Lavender is loaded with compounds that help you relax and calm down.

That's it- For more tips on making pets healthier and happier...
