The Royal's Travel Rx For a Happier Marriage!

Happily Married Like Will and Kate!

If you're a regular here, then you may remember the post about Will and Kate,

(The Prince and Duchess) traveling to the country that was named
the "happiest place in the World!"

And after traveling to Bhutan, Will and Kate have also learned some
very important tips to keep their marriage strong.

One of those tip:
Argue This Way-
If you must broach a touchy subject, (finding lipstick on his
collar, or admitting that you used a credit card on something frivolous)

Be kind even when you're upset.

The people of Bhutan feel that opening a touchy subject with
gentleness and kindness works better than accusations and harsh words.
So, instead of saying--"why in the hell is this credit card bill so high"
Say- "I may be reading it wrong, but I need some help understanding this
credit card bill."
Saying things this way brings you closer and hopefully--married for yrs. and yrs.

And if you want more tips on how to make your marriage
"Divorce-proof" head online to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download...see title to the  right.  Will and Kate...

Good Luck!

Morning Show Hosts' Color Rx For More Happiness!

Brighten Up Your World For More Success!
You may have heard that Oprah has a best friend named Gayle King,
and you may have also heard that Ms. King loves the color yellow.
What's so special about that?
Well, there's an ancient type of healing developed centuries ago based on
color.

It's called "color therapy" and if you need more passion in your life it's
best to add this color to your bedroom, need a promotion at work,  add this color
to your life,
want to calm down a hyperactive boy- paint his room....
And if you're like Gayle, and you love the color yellow,
incorporate more of it into your life to boost joy and alertness.

That's right- Yellow objects like curtains, bedspreads, paintings, the Sun
or even a bowl of bananas, can help you feel more optimistic
and alert.

Plus, a light color like yellow stimulates your brain, making you clearheaded,
decisive and alert.

So, if you're into alternative therapies and need help with a certain issue (s)
look into "color therapy."
And if you're wondering, two of the strongest women in the U.S. are Oprah
and Hillary Clinton and their favorite colors are green and orange.

One symbolizes wealth and one represents power. Can you guess the powerful
female who likes the orange and which one prefers green?

And one last tip-

A member of our team has dusted off the cobwebs and started writing again,
her latest venture: Happiness Secrets From The World's Happiest Places,
see title to the right. If you're interested in how the people of Brazil, Ireland, Italy,

Denmark and Bhutan boost happiness, head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download a copy.

Good Luck!

Walt Disney's World Rxs For More Happiness-Pt. 2!

Boost Happiness Levels By Heading To Disneyland!

As promised, here's the 2nd part of the post...Boosting Joy with a trip
to see Mickey and Minnie!
3) The Castles-

Ever wonder why the castles are so tall? The architects designed
them to reach the skies, why?
When the adults and kids look up, they'll be inspired to reach for the Stars.

4) The Water Rides-
Just looking at water has an effect on you. In fact, Feng Shui experts say
looking at water fountains or putting a small water fountain inside your home
can boost happiness and luck.
There are many water themed features at Disneyland and their there for a reason,
yes, to make money, but to also help uplift your moods and make you happier
and alert.
To get the effect long after your trip is over, add a mini waterfall to your desk,
or decorate your computer desktop with a watery image and stare at it when you're
down. Or you can buy a CD of soothing ocean waves to help lower stress levels
and boost happiness levels.
5) Take In The Scents-
No, that isn't a misprint, taking in the scents of fried foods, decadent sweets
and the chocolate treats can really boost moods. Your sense of smell is the most
closely associated with warm feelings of days gone by.
And a closely guarded secret: The people who designed Disneyland, made it point
to build machines and vents that kick out the scents of certain foods,
They hope you take in the scents and spend more money of course,
but they also want to boost happiness levels.
So, when you arrive home and still want the scent of those waffle cones
or chocolate delights, invest in some scented candles or look for vanilla,
almond or chocolate extracts at your local supermarket.
Pour a little of the choc. or almond extract on a cottonball, when
you feel stressed or overwhelmed and inhale deeply.
And the best thing about the extracts- they won't put on the pounds.

That's it- And if you thought Disneyland was just for the kids, you're

wrong,  it can help you (the adults) boost moods, lower stress levels,
and increase creativity.

Good Luck!

Walt Disney's Worlds' Rxs For More Happiness!

Boost Happiness With A Trip To Disneyland!

It's not called "The Happiest Place on Earth" for nothing.

What place are we talking about? Disneyland, of course.

If you're planning on going to Disneyland next month or in 6 months,
then make sure you really get your money's worth and boost not
only your kids happiness, but yours as well.
Going on the rides, eating sweet treats and buying souvenirs are great,
but make sure to take advantage of all the attractions, like...

1) Walk This Way-
Did you know that the designers who built this incredible park
made a lot of walkways user-friendly.
In other words, you may walk on cement for a short while and then walk

on rubber-like material.
This was designed to give your feet a variety of textures and those different textures
can stimulate certain pressure points on your feet. The very pressure points
that boost happiness and reduce stress levels.
So, if you're not too squeamish or frightened of germs, kick off your shoes
and take advantage of the carpeting and rubber tiles.
2) Boost Creativity-
We know, you want to relax. That's okay, you can still relax and work your mind
as well, how? By looking at and memorizing some of the round shapes you saw.
Round shapes? Yes, from Mickey's ears to the round shapes of some of the buildings,
the designers wanted every curve to flow into the next, just like the soft shape of
a human being. Round circles help put you at ease, and when you come home from
walking, eating high-calorie foods and riding on kiddie rides,  draw some circles.

Doodling (especially circles) makes you feel more relaxed and it even increases your
creativity. Tracing circles or squares causes a meditation-like state and helps you
relax. It's also a great exercise for kids.

That's it for now, and at a later date, we'll tell you why watching the water rides
and taking in the scent of all of that decadent food can also boost your happiness.

Good Luck!

Hillary Clinton's Rx For More Happiness!

                            Get Happy Like Hillary!
Hillary Clinton the former secretary of State, didn't have a lot to smile about
doing such a tough job.
We're not sure how she dealt with it, but her favorite color may have helped
and she didn't even know it.
That's right- according to alternative healers who use colors to heal,
say that Mrs. Clinton's favorite color can help boost your own moods
and the moods of those around you.

What's the color? Orange!
Wearing it, or looking at an orange poster board can stimulate the
happiness center of the brain.
Another interesting fact: In some parts of Asia, a bowl of oranges are placed
in bowls and prominently displayed in certain rooms -to bring good fortune
into the house.

So, if you need more happiness in your life and you don't want to go the
prescription pill route, try looking at an orange wall, canvas or put on
a pair of orange sweats.

Good Luck!

Ricki Lake's Rx To Beat Stress!

                           Beat Stress Naturally!

You may have heard...talk show host Ricki Lake is back with a new talk show
after being away for over a decade. On today's show-she talked about a
subject that affecting a lot of people. The subject: How to relieve stress.
According to new research, more and more people are dealing with stress.
Stress from jobs, job losses, rising costs, college costs, aging parents,
difficult kids, on and on.

If you find yourself suffering from "too much stress" and you want
something natural to fix it, try smiling more.
Yup, you're reading it right- when folks who were doing something stressful
or involved in a stressful situation were told to smile, their heartbeats
returned to normal.
Why?
Smiling helps "undo" the harmful effects of the stress response regardless
of whether you're actually upbeat at the time.
Although this tip may help you if you're only slightly stressed,
please seek real help if the stress in your life is ongoing or too much
to bear.

That's it- a tip that's worth smiling about.

Good Luck!
