T.V. Land's Rx For Avoiding The Flu!

                     Be More Like Betty! 

You may not know the sad news regarding T.V. Land's
hit show- "Hot In Cleveland" what is it? 

This will be its last yr. on the air.
And if you are a fan, remember--the reruns will play for a
few more months or even yrs.

And if you're a true fan, then we won't have to tell you
that Betty White was the real reason a lot of us watched and enjoyed
it so much.
And there's something else many of you may not about Ms. White
and it has to do with the cold and flu season.

Colds and flus?
Yes, according to a study in the Journal of Medicine,
a positive attitude may do more to keep you flu-free,
even more so than zinc, vitamin C, and a "clean" diet.

And when it comes to positive attitudes, Ms. White 

may have the best.
According to her costars, Ms. White refuses to listen to
any one who says something negative. Be it about a news event,
the president or even another star.
And the article in the JOM, also says that a positive attitude may
also help you live longer.
And if you're not sure this is true, remember Ms. White will be 93
in about 5 weeks.
It can't be diet, according to friends, family and costars, Ms. White
still eats like an American teen. Burgers, hot dogs,
sweets, soft drinks and potato chips.

So, if you want to stay cold and flu-free and avoid the expensive 

vitamins, minerals, teas and foods, be more like Ms. White and change
your attitude.

Valerie Bertinelli's Rx For A Low-Cal Burger!

                               Eat A Burger Like Valerie!
Valerie Bertinelli, former child star and star of T.V. Land's "Hot In Cleveland"
entered her "Chipotle Cheeseburger" in a contest held by her former employer-
Jenny Craig.
How did she do? She won the contest!
Look below for a list of the ingredients and directions look below.
Valerie Bertinelli's Chipolte Cheeseburger-
Ingredients:
6 oz. extra lean beef or 2 Jenny Craig Turkey Burgers
3 Tbsps. lite sour cream
1/2 chipolte chile in adobo sauce, finely chopped
2 tsp. white onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. fresh cilantro, finely chopped
a pinch of black pepper
2  whole wheat buns
2 tsp. butter, melted
2 slices low-fat cheese
1/4 avocado, thinly sliced

Directions:
Prepare the burgers the way you like.
In a small bowl, combine sour cream, chile, onion, cilantro
and pepper, mix well. Brush buns with the butter, grill unitl lightly toasted.
Place the burgers on the buns, add the cheese slices, the sour cream mixture
and the avocado slices.
Makes 2 burgers.

That's It- Give thanks to Ms. Bertinelli, hamburger or turkey burgers
provide you with iron and zinc.
Both the zinc and iron are necessary for keeping you cold-free,
building strong immune systems, prevent thinning of the hair
