                     Be More Like Betty!

You may not know the sad news regarding T.V. Land's
hit show- "Hot In Cleveland" what is it?

This will be its last yr. on the air.
And if you are a fan, remember--the reruns will play for a
few more months or even yrs.

And if you're a true fan, then we won't have to tell you
that Betty White was the real reason a lot of us watched and enjoyed
it so much.
And there's something else many of you may not about Ms. White
and it has to do with the cold and flu season.

Colds and flus?
Yes, according to a study in the Journal of Medicine,
a positive attitude may do more to keep you flu-free,
even more so than zinc, vitamin C, and a "clean" diet.

And when it comes to positive attitudes, Ms. White

may have the best.
According to her costars, Ms. White refuses to listen to
any one who says something negative. Be it about a news event,
the president or even another star.
And the article in the JOM, also says that a positive attitude may
also help you live longer.
And if you're not sure this is true, remember Ms. White will be 93
in about 5 weeks.
It can't be diet, according to friends, family and costars, Ms. White
still eats like an American teen. Burgers, hot dogs,
sweets, soft drinks and potato chips.

So, if you want to stay cold and flu-free and avoid the expensive

vitamins, minerals, teas and foods, be more like Ms. White and change
your attitude.

Hot In Cleveland's Anti-Aging Rx For Women!

                        Live Long Like Betty White!

Betty White, one of the stars of the hot T.V. show "Hot In Cleveland"
is over 90 yrs. of age.

The fact that she's over ninety and still working is quite surprising.
But those who know Ms. White says that they're not surprised, and
they say it might be her positive attitude.
Even more shocking, Ms. White still eats like an American teen,
hot dogs, chips and small store bought pies.

So can a positive attitude be the only medicine one needs to make it
to 80 or 90?
It might be, but there's more about Ms. White that may have helped
her make it to 92, that something more: Her nationality.
That's right- Ms. White is Danish, on her father's side and according
to new research, the Danes, Swedes, Icelanders, Norwegians
and Finns may hold the secrets to a long and happy life.

The people of Scandinavian countries endure dark and dreary
Winters, yet remain upbeat and positive.
Some say it's the diet of root vegetables, organic fruits and vegetables,
fish, cod liver oil, strong family ties, bike riding and saunas.

So, if you're concerned about living longer or just want to live well

right now, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download
a copy of The Nordic Secrets To Perfect Health!
Download it immediately and learn how the Scandinavians
and Betty White are able to live long, healthy lives.
See title at right.

Good Luck!

Hot In Cleveland Stars' Rx For Living Longer!

                                 Live Long Like Betty!

You may have heard that the oldest man in the World just died.
He lived in Japan, and his age was reported to be 116 yrs. old.

How did he accomplish it? By following a diet of mostly vegetables,
tea, broths  and some rice.
No 8 oz. steaks or 3 patty cheeseburgers for this gentlemen.

Now we move on to a lady that's about 26 yrs. younger, works on
T.V. and lives in Hollywood. The lady: Betty White!
And can you guess what type of diet Ms. White follows?
If you're thinking fruits, vegetables, some chicken breast, salmon
and olive oil, you'd better think again.
Oh no- the still vibrant Ms. White won't have any of that, her favorite
foods: Red Vines, potato chips, French fries, blueberry pie and hot dogs.
It's a diet the average American teenager follows.
And that's not the most shocking part, Ms. White says that she
eats hot dogs almost every day of the week.

So, what gives? Is it good genes, a cast iron constitution or
doing what you love and surrounding yourself with younger and more
active people?
The last part may be the truth, new research shows that physical activity
can undo some of the damage from hot dogs to your internal organs.
A bike ride, a long walk or dancing can keep blood pressure from
rising after dining on salty foods like chips and hot dogs.
The researchers also say that the more you exercise, the less your

blood pressure will rise after a salty meal. Exercise naturally lowers
your body's overall level of salt through sweating and helps blood
vessels relax, and that allows for better blood flow.

Ms. White also said that owning a 2 story house and a short
memory make for a lot of trips up and down the stairs.
So, are you like Ms. White- eating hot dogs, red vines and
blueberry pie or are you like Jennifer Aniston-eating salads
most of the week and having a burger or a slice of pizza on the
weekends?
Well, whatever your diet choices, make sure you do something
to sweat afterwards.

Good Luck!

Hot In Cleveland's Rx To Ease Stress!

                     Reduce Stress By Baking!

With Christmas less than 2 wks. away, we know a lot of you out there
will be baking. Baking cookies, pies, cakes-etc.

If you watched yesterday's Rachael Ray's show- then you remember
star Valerie Bertinelli - baking some of her favorite holiday cookies.
Although a lot of people may struggle this time of yr. with weight and
and other weight-related issues, baking can be therapeutic.

Therapeutic how?
The scent of cookies baking can help transform you back to a time

when things were less complicated, happy and carefree.
You may also remember the times you spent with grandma or mom

or other relatives and that can also help you feel more safe and secure.

So, if you were reluctant to bake for fear it may trigger a binge,
just think of those cookies or that pie as stress relievers.
And if you don't want to bake, but want the scent of something baking,
do this...place a piece of aluminum foil in the oven, pour on a little
vanilla extract, some cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Turn on the oven
to 250 degrees, and leave it on for 15 to 30 mins.
Memories of mom, grandma and cousins will come flooding back.

That's it- and if you want some more tips on the benefits of Christmas treats,
go to our main blog...SupermarketRxs@typepad.com
And if you want some of the cookies, Valerie Bertinelli baked- go to
Rachael Ray.com and scan the site for Valerie's name.
