Mrs. Doubtfire's Rx For A Healthier Heart!

                Be Like Mrs. Doubtfire!

Any fans of the Robin Williams, Sally Field flick, Mrs. Doubtfire?
Well, you may remember it, Robin Williams played a nanny to his
own kids as he was going through a tough divorce with the Mom. (Sally Field).

They (the producers and writers) keep promising us a sequel, but it doesn't look
like it's going to happen.
Hey, that's okay, sometimes it's best to leave the original alone.
If there's one thing you should take from that movie, it's learn
the value of housework.

The value of housework?
Yes, new research says that doing the laundry, sweeping
the driveway or washing floors or walls can cut your odds of having
a stroke or heart attack by 30%.
Your hubby or boyfriend (or even you) may not think it's work, but it is.
Skip the high-fat treats and meals and really work for a good 20 minutes
and you may never have to visit a gym or pay for a gym membership again.
That's it, and if you ever see Mrs. Doubtfire on cable, remember
how hard Robin Williams worked, it may be why he's in such good shape
today, at age 61.

Good Luck!

The View's Rx To Prevent Diabetes!

A Simple Solution To Avoid Diabetes!

Sherri Shepherd from the T.V. "The View" is making the rounds
with her new book... Plan D- How to Lose Weight and Beat Diabetes
 (at Amazon.com)
It's all about  her struggles with diabetes, gives you some recipes and
reveals her exercise program.
Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes now affect more than 100 million Americans,

and many aren't aware they have it.
If you want to avoid the path of counting calories, taking your blood sugar,
eating low-cal and exercising 5 days a week, do something you're already
doing, but just do more of it.
What is it? Sleep more. That's right- getting 7 to 8 hours every night
shields you from insulin resistance-a condition that makes you more
prone to developing full-blown diabetes.

And get this--skimp on sleep for 4 or 5 days and you become 30%
less sensitive to the hormone insulin-the same as folks diagnosed
with diabetes. What's the link-Without enough sleep, fat cells become
sluggish and unable to respond to and use insulin efficiently.
And in addition to the more sleep cure, do something else that will help
you prevent diabetes as well, what is it? Drink more. As in water.
Drink about 4 to 6 glasses of water (8 oz.) and the less likely you are
to develop high blood sugar problems and that's a main factor
for getting pre-diabetes. Water reduces a hormone that raises blood
sugar levels.

That's it- 2 simple solutions to preventing a serious disease.

Good Luck!
