Grandma's Old-Time Remedy For Longer Lashes!

                                   Grow Your Lashes With....

Let's face it- longer lashes look better.
And even though yours may not grow as well as they did when you were
younger, false eyelashes certainly get the job done.
Well, you may want to retire those "falsies" and use something that your
grandma or great grandma used some 20 or 30 yrs. ago and what is that?
Castor Oil.

Now, a lot of you reading this may not remember the tsp. of castor oil before

heading off for school or before eating breakfast, but it's making a comeback--
as a beauty aid, more specifically- an eyelash enhancer.

Castor oil is rich in vitamin E and omega-6s, both of which speed hair growth,
and all you have to do is buy a bottle, put some on a cotton swab, (Q-tip)

and apply to your lash line each night after taking off your makeup.
And if your eyebrows are thinning, apply some to them as well.
Do this for 2 to 4 weeks for longer and luxurious lashes (and brows).

One last tip:
A woman working as a hairdresser noticed that one of her clients
was losing weight, her skin looked softer and smoother and her hair
was growing at a rapid pace, and her clients' secret: She had gone on the
new and improved "Atkins diet."
The new diet allows for more green vegetables, chicken, fish and eggs.
And thanks to new research, a diet of wheat and other types of grains
not only affects your belly, ("Wheat Belly") it also slows down and
impedes hair growth.

That's it- A tip for all those out there that want their own longer and thicker lashes.

Good Luck!

The Food Rxs For Looking Red Carpet Ready!

Let Food be Your Cosmetic Surgery!

The award season is in full swing, and that means from now until the end of March,

you'll be seeing a lot of celebrities and a lot of red carpets.
With that being the case, a lot of celebrities will eating salads
and drinking green smoothies to get into their tight ball gowns and fitted
tuxes, but it doesn't have to be like that.

What are we saying?
We're saying, whether you're a celebrity earning millions or a stay-at-home
mom in Kansas, you can look slimmer and more youthful just by heading to

your local supermarket.
Supermarket?
Yes, just look below and learn which foods and beverages can help you
appear "Red Carpet" ready in a matter of weeks or months.
First up, the fruity "Superfood"

* Apples-
We've mentioned it a number of times, but it bears repeating, apples
can help your skin look younger and keep your figure from
becoming saggy and flabby.
Need proof? Reread our past posts on "Good Morning America's"

anchor George Stephanopoulos. Mr. Stephanopoulos - eats an
apple a day and will be 60 yrs. of age in less than 5 yrs.
Apples (green apples with the peel) contain unsolic acid, a natural
chemical that blocks a trouble-making protein that prods muscle tissue
to wear away.
Choose organic apples if your budget allows and egg whites and green tomatoes also

contain the same natural chemicals that prevent muscles from
sagging, just watch the flour and oil when preparing them.
* Cinnamon-
Do you want Kylie Jenner lips without paying for them?
Mix 1/4 tsp. cinnamon with 1/4 tsp. coconut or olive oil and
apply to clean, dry lips. Leave your lips alone for 5 mins. and then,
if you want--apply your favorite lips color.
* Argan Oil-
Another beauty tip from the Kardashians, apply Argan oil to your hair.
It's Kims' favorite and if you want thicker hair, look for a product
called--Pure Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo.
Another alternative-Coconut oil.
* Beer-
Don't be fooled, a lot of celebrities like to drink after award shows
and it's not just Champagne. Beer-whether drunk or worn can help
you look yrs. younger.
The barley in beer can keep skin firm and hair thick.
And get this- beer applied to age spots can make them disappear.
Not a drinker, but still want firmer skin?
Eat Miso soup, a favorite of "Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone.

That's it for now, and if you want more great tips like these,
head on over to Amazon.com and type The Thin Girl's Guide To
Preventing Winter Weight Gain in the search bar.

Housewives of Beverly Hills Rx For Thinning Hair!

                       Get Gorgeous Hair Like Kyle!
Kyle Richards lives a charmed life: a home in Beverly Hills,
a hot husband, an incredible social life, great kids and a
beautiful head of hair.
We can't tell you how to get a house in Beverly Hills, a hot husband or

well-behaved kids, but we can tell you how to prevent your hair from
thinning out.
The 4 Natural Rxs For Great Hair:
a) Green Tea-
That's right, the stuff that helps with belly fat and preventing certain cancers
can actually help your hair grow.
Compounds in the tea increase the production of hair follicles cells that play
a key role in growth.
The amount needed for hair growth? About 2 to 3 cups a day,
and make it regular, no decaf.
b) Biotin-
A member of the B-complex vitamin family,  biotin plays a role in the formation
of hair shafts, increasing root strength and speeding hair growth.
You may have to take biotin for a few months to see results.

Best type to take: PhytoPhaarmica Biotin Forte 3 mg. with zinc, find it at
Drugstore.com. Price-$8 for 60 tablets.
c) Shampoo-
Wash your hair with a shampoo that contains hyaluronic acid.
What is hyaluronic acid? It's a natural lubricating substance
that coats and penetrates hair follicles, fortifying
the hair strands and stimulates growth by drawing in water
and nutrients. Use it for 60 days and you notice less hair shedding.
Look for the best shampoo at Hyalogic.com, the brand-Episilk
shampoo or John Masters Organics Evening Primrose Shampoo,
at JohnMasters.com Price-$16 for 8 oz.
d) Eating Too Little-
And not getting the right nutrients. You may think eating less than 1,000 calories,
is going to help you lose weight more quickly. But it's your hair that really suffers.
And cutting back on or cutting out meat entirely can severly affect your hair.
Going too low in calories can shock the hair follicles, and a low calorie

count means your hair isn't getting what it needs to grow.
Simple solution: Bump up your calorie count to a minimum 1,300 calories
a day, eat a variety of foods, and make sure your getting enough iron and zinc.
Women lose iron through menstraution and zinc by cutting back on, or cutting
out meat. So, you may need a multi-mineral vit.  with iron and zinc included.

That's It- Hope these tips help, some people who changed their diets
to lean meats, (grass-fed and range-free),fatty fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts,
seeds, whole grains and monounsaturated fats (olive and coconut Oils)
say- "not only have we changed our bodies, but our hair has gotten
thicker and more luxurious."

Good Luck!
