America's Got Talent Rx For Preventing Colds!

                     Stay Cold and Flu-Free!

You only have to wait about 5 more months until the new season

of "America's Got Talent--gets underway.
If you're a real fan of the show, then you know about Howie
Mandel.
What about Howie Mandel?
He has a fear of germs.

Well, if you too are like Howie, you may be onto something.

That something?
You're less likely to catch colds, less so than your hugging
and handshaking counterparts.
That's right- New research says that washing your hands a few times
a day, may not be enough.

The new rule:
After washing your hands make sure not to touch your face.
You can lower your risk of getting sick by a whopping 45% if you

follow this rule.
Most viruses enter your body when you touch contaminated
objects, but they can only actually enter your body through
your eyes, mouth or nose.
So, if your concerned about avoiding the flu this season,
become more like Howie and Don't touch your face.

Mariah Carey's Rx For Raising Genuises!

                          Raise Smarter Kids!

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey told Barbara Walters they really want
well-educated, well-rounded kids. Okay, the educated part, is really from

Nick Cannon, (Ms. Carey seems to really want them to follow in her
and her husband's entertainment footsteps)
Anyway, if you're a new mom or dad and you really want to see your kids
make it to Yale or Harvard, follow these tips from some very qualified
pediatricians and help them get there.

When reading to your child, use a finger to point out words, letters, capitalizations,
and going from left to right, top to bottom. Young kids who are read to using this
method, had better reading, spelling and comprehension skills, well into
kindergarten and first grade. Using this method also helps kids
crack the code, the language code.

Another tip: As they grow older, let them read aloud to you or their

brothers and sisters. This is another way to build a powerful
brain. Hope this you and your kids, as well as Nick, Mariah, Moroccan and

Monroe.  (Roc and Roe)

Good Luck!

America's Got Talent Yoga Rx!

A Yoga Rx To Beat Tiredness!

Howard Stern is the new member of the T.V. show "America's
Got Talent," he seems to be on his best behavior and getting
some pretty good reviews.
One thing about Howard that's been kept under wraps...
He's been involved in Yoga and meditation for over 15 yrs.

And that's the basis of this post, if you should ever find yourself
needing a boost in energy, do the following...
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent.
Using your palms and fingers, simulataneously tap both sides of your
belly button for 2 mins.

Yoga experts say this will stimulate blood vessels in the stomach, increasing
circulation of energizing oxygen between the digestion system and the rest
of the body.

So remember, you don't need that candy bar or "energy drink"

to increase your energy levels, just do the above Yoga move.

Good Luck!
