Music Star's Food Rx To Lower Blood Pressure!

                              Food Tip From A Musical Genius! 

Hey, if you were around during the early 80's, then you probably remember
the man many were calling the "American Mozart", a musical genius,
the "modern-day Mozart" and on and on. 

This musical prodigy (who can also play 15 musical instruments) was also known for 
not only for putting out great music, but for his love of this color. 
What color was that?
It was purple.
And the musical genius: 

Prince from Minn. Minnesota.
That's right, the Summer of 1984 belonged to Prince, his no. 1 album-"Purple Rain" 

and then the movie with the same name. 

And if you're a fan of purple, and you're a daring and adventurous
foodie and you have high blood pressure, then you may want to start eating
purple potatoes.
Yes, you're reading it right, scientists at the University of Scranton knew that 

potatoes were one of the best foods to lower blood pressure (mainly the skin of a
potato) and decided to see if the new wave of "colored foods" would work even
better.
And to their astonishment, the purple potatoes worked way better than the
brown potatoes at lowering one's blood pressure. 

Foods like purple potatoes have more pressuring lowering nutrients than the other 
potatoes.
So, if your doctor just told you your B.P. is a little high and he wants you
to try a B.P. medication, ask him or her if you can do a few things on your own
to try and lower it.
Some of those other things...

eat bananas- 2 medium-sized bananas a day
give up or cut way down on sugar and starches (white foods)
lose weight, if weight is an issue
eat more sesame oil
squeeze a tennis ball, a few times a day
take up meditation and Tai Chi.

Singer's Rx For A Beautiful Face and Body!

Prince, the musical genius from Minnesota, is still singing 

and producing music after 30 plus years.
And although Prince may be remembered for his great song writing,
dancing ability and playing a number of instruments, don't forget
that he still possesses a lean, mean and sexy physique.
And if you would like to keep your body in incredible
shape at the age of 56 (Prince's age) you may want to listen to
and then follow the advice he gave in one of his biggest hits. 

The Hit: 
Purple Rain.

Eating more purple (and dark blue) foods can help prevent
and reverse the sagging that will happen to a lot of us. 

Purple foods like eggplant, plums, grapes, and blueberries not only 
taste good smothered in tomato sauce (eggplant parmigiana)
or awash in sugar (plum or blueberry pie). 

The dark colored fruits and vegetables triple your intake
of flavonoids, healing compounds that help skin stay firm and tight 

well into old age.
Blueberries-
keep memory from fading and help shut down cravings for cheesesteaks
and cheesecakes. Plus, they help skin remain fine-line free.
Eggplant-
A food that's a favorite in Greece (John Stamos) and the Middle East,
(Kim Kardashian) and for good reason: Eat it to keep the fine lines away
and prevent the sagging of the neck, jawline and breasts. Also helpful

of family and friends.
