Hollywood's Celebration Beverage Rx For a Better Memory!

                       Drink More Champagne!

Yes, red wine gets all of the credit, but in keeping with the tradition
of Hollywood's biggest night of celebration, this post is
all about Champagne.

That's right, the beverage that's a little more expensive can also
be a boon to your health.

You're probably aware of the benefits of a glass of red wine a day,
benefits like...
a stronger heart
trimmer waist,
lower cholesterol
youthful skin
thicker hair

Well, you can also get these same benefits by drinking a glass
of champagne a day and since it's the Oscar's, here's a recipe for
a great tasting Champagne cocktail, that's also good for you,
in regards to your brain, (memory).
The Drink- A Raspberry Sparkler!
Ingredients:
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. raspberry liqueur, (look for it at high-end liquor stores)
5 raspberries, frozen or fresh.
4 oz. Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled.
------------------------------
Directions:
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with a few Ice cubes,
Add the liqueur and vodka, shake well, and set aside.
Add raspberries to cocktail glass, strain vodka and the
liqueur into glass over berries. Top with Champagne.
Enough for 1 serving.

The benefits:
Champagne and vodka improve blood flow, especially blood flow to the
brain and raspberries, contain compounds that also improve your memory,

especially short-term memory.
Important tip: Make sure you only have 1 drink, anymore and you not only

risk damaging your memory, but other parts of your body as well. (heart, liver,
kidneys, eyes, etc.)

And one last tip:
If you want more great recipes for alcoholic beverages that improve
your health, head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type

Good Luck!

Oscar Night Snack Rx For Better Health!

                                Snack On This!

The Oscars are a few weeks away and for a lot of us that means
a big bowl of popcorn and waiting 3 or more hours until the good
(or significant) categories are called. You know, best actor, best picture
and best director.

And if you're not a fan of popcorn perhaps this news may change your mind.
What news is that?
It (popcorn) can actually lower your odds of getting certain cancers and
trim down your belly.
If you're a regular here, then you may remember the post we did on
Cameron Diaz. You know, her favorite breakfast food and her desire
to live till 100.
Well today, we're back with another whole grain that's as popular as
hot dogs or pizza or candy and something even better: It's gluten-free.

That's right, corn is gluten-free and if you air pop it and then sprinkle
on a few spices and herbs, it can actually help you lower your odds of
ever getting certain cancers.

The spices and herbs you should use...

Curry powder
black pepper
garlic powder
oregano
and after it's finished air-popping, sprinkle on some olive oil.
Olive oil is rich in oleic acid, a fatty acid that helps suppress the gene responsible
for breast cancer.

And for a trimmer midsection, sprinkle on safflower oil after
you finish air-popping it. Safflower )a favorite of talk show host Montel Williams)
has special compounds in it that specifically target belly fat.
Plus, the fiber in popcorn and oatmeal help fill you up so quickly, you're not
tempted to overindulge.

That's it- 2 great reasons to eat more popcorn.
And please, look for our next post where we tell you the favorite food

of a nighttime host and how this food can really improve your health.
Gotta run, all of this talk of popcorn is making me hungry.

Good Luck!
