And if you're not sure what wine fits that bill, relax, just look below...
a) A Heart Healthy Wine-

Hollywood's Latest Rx For A Slim and Trim Figure!

                                         Cheers To A Slimmer Body!

Some stars are always looking for new ways to look younger, lose weight
or keep weight off and the latest fat-burning discovery isn't all that new.
What is it?
Drinking a  glass or two of red wine.

Wine drinking is on the increase in Hollywood.
And according to some reports, star Johnny Depp has a case or two
delivered to his residence every week, and then there's star Teri Hatcher,

(formerly of Desperate Housewives) she not only drinks it, she adds some to her
bath water to help keep her skin youthful.
And finally, there's a star who's become so obsessed, she not only drinks wine,
she's taking classes on the proper way to drink it, how to choose it and something more

incredible: She's now looking into growing her own grapes and becoming a vineyard owner.
The star: Singer Pink!

If you don't drink it and are struggling with weight loss, you may want to rethink your
decision.
Why?
New research says that a medium-sized glass or two smaller-sized glasses of red wine
drunk a few times a week can do a number of things to help you lose weight.

Things like....
* Blast stubborn fat
* Block sugar-- Wine can help block some of the sugar you may be
taking in from that brownie or those choc. chip cookies.
* Fire Up Metabolism- are you the owner of a slow metabolism?
Speed it up with a glass or two of wine.
Women who drink wine regularly are trimmer than women who don't drink
 any amount of wine.
And if you're not struggling with weight, wine can also....
* Keep your heart in tip-top shape.
* Lower your odds of getting a stroke. And if you're a resident of a big city,
you'll really need some wine to avoid strokes.
* Protect Your Brain-
Concerned about memory loss or even Alzheimer's?
Wine can also keep your brain from deteriorating.
* Kills Cancer cells- The antioxidants in wine attack cancer cells,
slashing a nonsmoker's lung cancer risk by 55%.
Hold onto your teeth- Whether you're a movie star or a stay-at-home mom
in Kansas, keeping your teeth from rotting and falling out is a concern many people
have. Active compounds in wine block bacteria and reduce cavities by 40%.

So, if you're still undecided about adding some wine to your diet, maybe this post will
help change your mind. it certainly changed singer Pinks' mind.

Good Luck!

The Low-Cost Secrets To A Younger-lLooking Smile!

                Smile Bright!

In Hollywood,  your smile is just as important as your fit body
and youthfulness.
A great looking smile is not only a way to look youthful
and attractive to those around you, it can also keep
you alive for an extra 5 or 10 yrs.
Alive longer, how so?

Teeth, well really gums are the key to a longer life
and if  your gums are receding or damaged,
you risk not only your attractiveness but your life as well.
But today, we'll focus on teeth and if you spend hundreds
on teeth-whitening kits or trips to the dentist
(for teeth-whitening), you may be wasting your money.
That's right, the key to a beautiful smile may be
in your refrigerator.

The tips...
-fruits and veggies.
Stars may eat raw fruits and veggies for a reason
(To continue to get work), but you should be eating them
as well. Crunchy foods like apples, carrots and cucumbers,
act like small toothbrushes in your mouth helping to
remove tiny food particles. And these types of food require
a lot of chewing which also helps remove stains and protects
against enamel damage.
Stay away from (or eat sparingly-dried fruit)
-rinse with water.
Can't get to a toothbrush after a meal?
Rinse with water. And this is especially true for coffee
or lemonade.
-skip this.
What is it? Whitening toothpaste.
These types of toothpaste remove stains and the enamel
on your teeth. Use whitening strips, but under the
supervision of a professional.
-throw this out.
What is it? Your toothbrush. Only keep a toothbrush
after 1 or 2 months. And make sure to throw it out after
a cold or flu. For top-notch cleaning, invest in
an electric toothbrush.
-drink up.
Lemonade may cause the enamel on your to erode,
but some beverages are actually good for teeth, like...
milk-it prevents plaque buildup after a sweet treat.
Tea- has compounds in it that kill cavity-causing bacteria.
Drink green, black may stain your teeth.
Red wine- (Hoda and KathyLee are going to love this tip.)
Wine washes away bacteria during and after your meals.
And if you're wondering about white wine-stop wondering,
it has more acid, which might cause enamel to wear away.

Hollywood's Rx For A Valentine's Day Beverage!

50 Shades of a Great Adult Beverage!

The much awaited movie "50 Shades of Grey is finally in theaters and
Valentine's day is a week away.
For some this will be a great time to enjoy some great food and

great beverages. Adult beverages.

And we're not talking the usual white wine spritzers or red wine
or shots of tequila, no- you want something that'll help you celebrate
the love that's Feb. 14.
And the drink that'll help you achieve that: A Chocolate Truffle Martini!
Yes, you're reading it right, chocolate and alcohol combined.
Either one alone will boost health, but together...now you'll really
experience some incredible benefits.

What types of benefits?
a) More Passion-
Alcohol and dark chocolate enhance libido and sexual function.
How? By keeping arteries and veins free of plaque, allowing for better
blood flow, especially blood flow to sex organs.
b) Reduced Risk of Heart Disease-
The recent news of the increase in heart attacks for women has a lot of people

scared and one good way to reduce those fears...eat or drink dark choc. (cocoa)
or have a drink (only 1) a day. See tip a, about clearing the plaque from veins and

arteries.
c) Reduced Stroke Risk-
Another health issue more women should be thinking about.
Especially women under 40.
d) A Longer Life-
Due to the reduction in heart disease and stroke risks, both choc.

and alcohol may help you live an extra 3, 5 or even 10 years.

Now on to the adult beverage.
The recipe:
On a plate, spread a thin layer of choc. sprinkles. Lightly coat rim of
a martini glass with choc. syrup; dip into sprinkles. Fill cocktail shaker
with ice cubes; add 1/4 cup choc. vodka, (find it at high end package stores)
1/4 cup half and half, 2 Tbs. Kahlua and 1 Tbs. choc. syrup. Cover--
shake vigorously for 20 to 30 secs. Strain into glass and for a visual effect,
place a gumdrop (red) or a strawberry on the end of a stirrer, and place it
across the drink or inside.
This is enough for 1 serving, for 2 or more servings, just follow the recipe again.

That's it, and if you need more health or (sex) tips, inspiration or recipes (for adult beverages)
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type the following titles into the search bar.

Kathy Griffin's Rx For Storing Christmas Ornaments!

                          Put Away Your Ornaments!

Kathy Griffin, just spent New Year's Eve with Anderson Cooper.
And today: It's time to put away the Christmas tree and ornaments.
We're not sure if Ms. Griffin has a tree or if she puts it up herself.
One thing we do know, that putting away the ornaments
this way is something Kathy may do as well.

How would she put the ornaments away?
She'd placed them in cardboard wine boxes.

Why wine boxes?
Kathy jokes that her 91 yr. old Mom drinks boxed wine

everyday.

And if you have some wine boxes lying around and you don't
have the original boxes, then by all means- store your ornaments
this way.
The wine boxes have dividers, which make them perfect for protecting
your precious and delicate ornaments.

And if you're not a fan of boxed wine, head to your local wine
or liquor store anyway, they may have some empty boxes leftover.

When you get the boxes home- clean them, let them dry and then fold or cut
the cardboard dividers as needed, and place 2 or 3 tissue-wrapped
ornaments in each slot, making sure the heavier ornaments
are on the bottom and the lighter ones on top.

That's it- A post Christmas tip that may or may not be from Kathy
Griffin.

Good Luck!
