Oscar Night Snack Rx For Better Health!

                                Snack On This!

The Oscars are a few weeks away and for a lot of us that means
a big bowl of popcorn and waiting 3 or more hours until the good
(or significant) categories are called. You know, best actor, best picture
and best director.

And if you're not a fan of popcorn perhaps this news may change your mind.
What news is that?
It (popcorn) can actually lower your odds of getting certain cancers and
trim down your belly.
If you're a regular here, then you may remember the post we did on
Cameron Diaz. You know, her favorite breakfast food and her desire
to live till 100.
Well today, we're back with another whole grain that's as popular as
hot dogs or pizza or candy and something even better: It's gluten-free.

That's right, corn is gluten-free and if you air pop it and then sprinkle
on a few spices and herbs, it can actually help you lower your odds of
ever getting certain cancers.

The spices and herbs you should use...

Curry powder
black pepper
garlic powder
oregano
and after it's finished air-popping, sprinkle on some olive oil.
Olive oil is rich in oleic acid, a fatty acid that helps suppress the gene responsible
for breast cancer.

And for a trimmer midsection, sprinkle on safflower oil after
you finish air-popping it. Safflower )a favorite of talk show host Montel Williams)
has special compounds in it that specifically target belly fat.
Plus, the fiber in popcorn and oatmeal help fill you up so quickly, you're not
tempted to overindulge.

That's it- 2 great reasons to eat more popcorn.
And please, look for our next post where we tell you the favorite food

of a nighttime host and how this food can really improve your health.
Gotta run, all of this talk of popcorn is making me hungry.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Breakfast Rx For More Energy!

                             Become More Bulletproof!

Want to know what's going to be "the next best food thing" in Hollywood?
Believe it or not, buttered coffee.
Well, it's actually coffee with butter and coconut oil in it.
And before you turn up your noses and say "gross" or
"I'll never drink that" learn about some of the benefits.

What benefits?
* Reduced appetite.
That's right, if you struggle with cravings about 9:00 am,
10:00 am or 11:00 am, then this might be the answer to your prayers.
A cup of coffee with some fat in it, is helping a number of people
who struggle with midday cravings.
* More Energy-
Again, if you're the type that starts to get tired and listless about
12:00 pm or 1:00 pm, a cup of buttered Joe may be the answer
you've been looking for. Some people have said that they have
the coffee at 8 or 9 am and they still have plenty of energy
4, 5 or even 6 hours later.
In fact, the man who's credited with bringing "bulletproof coffee"

to the states, was given some buttered tea while hiking in Tibet.
The man said he was dead tired and didn't think he could walk another
step, but after drinking the tea, he felt like he'd slept 8 hrs. and was ready to

hike again.
* More Brain Power-
Like a cure for more energy or a way to sleep through the night,

Americans always want to know about natural ways to boost mental
performance. If this is you, then you should really give this a try.
Some people say that they're better able to complete simple tasks
more easily, they're concentration levels are improving
and they're remembering more.

So, are you convinced?
Want to get a head start on the "next big thing" before the stars?
Well, head online to google.com and type "Bulletproof coffee"

in the search bar.
Once there, you'll learn about the calorie count, the type of butter
to use, how to make it (the coffee) taste like it's from Starbucks,

and any other questions you might want answered.

Good Luck!

with her hit, "Roar!"

her snack of choice: Something Salty and Crunchy. Sound familiar?
If you go back a few posts, you may remember that Whoopi
Goldberg from T.V.'s, "The View" is also a salty and crunchy
snack kind of gal.
Well, if you fit into that category and want to eat less salt and crunch,
try this recipe from the very popular fitness and diet guru- Jorge Cruise.
What is it? It's a baked treat that'll take about a min. or two to prepare.

The recipe:
In a small mug, (microwave proof), mix together 1/4 cup of flaxseed, 1 tsp.
baking powder, 2 tsps. ground cinnamon, 1 tsp. coconut oil, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp.
stevia and 2 tbsps. chopped walnuts. Place the mug in the microwave
and for a min. Check the treat with a toothpick to make sure it's done,
if not, microwave for another 15 secs. Makes 1 serving.
That's it- this recipe is for those who claim to hate sweets and want a
low-cal alternative to all of those chips, doritos, Cheese twists and pretzels.
