Are you a fan of the hit show-Elementary?
Well it's still going strong and one of the reason for its
continued success--The chemistry between costars
Lucy Liu and Englishman Jonny Lee Miller.

And what's even more impressive, Lucy Liu seems to have
found the secret to turning back the clock, the anti-aging clock.
When asked for her secrets, Ms. Liu gave the usual answers--
eating right, exercise (yoga) meditation and something babies do.
What is it?
She naps.

That's right, we've done posts on the importance of sleep and
the one star who claims she tries to get 9 hrs. a night, (Penelope Cruz)

but napping.
Yes, a lot of adults are just dead set against it.
Some for practical reasons, work, school, etc. and others just
feel it's a waste of time.
But that's not true, and if you can find even 15 to 20 minutes a day to

nap, you can expect some great benefits.
What type of benefits?

a) lower risks of cancers,  breast,  prostate (Men) colon and lung.
b) A healthier heart
c) Better weight control
That's right, sleeping less than 6 hrs. means you'll most likely
have a harder time maintaining or losing weight.
And your cravings for carbs will be really intense.
d) Mind Control-
This simply means, naps lower your  odds of getting dementia or Alzheimer's.
e) Better Moods-
If you feel grumpy during the day, you may need more sleep at night,
or a nap during the day. Naps also help you beat the blue moods associated
with the cold, dark days of Fall and Winter.
There you have it, 5 tips for better health, and a few more things to
consider...
don't sleep more than 20 minutes, why? it'll confused your body and
make it hard to sleep at night.
And for the 1st tip regarding cancer. It's especially important that you
are in a deep sleep between 12:00 am and 2:00 am, why?
Your body needs to be a deep sleep to produce melatonin.
The hormone needed to help you get to sleep and stay asleep.

That's it, and if you're really serious about sleep and need help
getting to and staying asleep, head online to Amazon.com, the kindle store.
And type The 99 Best Natural Remedies To Beat Insomnia,
for less than 2 packs of gum, you can get the sleep you desperately
deserve. And something even better- you can get that sleep without
taking anything that may affect your health and your wallet.

Good Luck!

Marisa Tomei's Rx For Controlling Hunger!

The Exercise Rx To Control Weight!
Marisa Tomei- the still popular and atrractive star will be fifty yrs of age in less

than 3 yrs. She does it with an exercise that's not boring, monotous or that
challenging.

The Exercise: Hula Hooping!
This exercise is gaining in popularity- it doesn't take special clothes,
a special mat, a trainer, a partner, or tons of money.
Just a toy that costs under $20.

Why is it so effective at controlling hunger?
It turns off cravings by making your hypothalamus, a gland in the center of
your brain, more responsive to the apetite-suppressing hormone leptin
and the hunger-regulating hormone insulin.

So, if you're not a walker or a runner, and don't have the money
for a gym, a yoga class or Pilates, then you need a Hula Hoop.
Start with 10 mins. a day and work up to 20 to 30 mins.
That's enough to turn off the cravings and thoughts of food for hours.

If it's working for 47 yr. old Marisa Tomei, it'll certainly work for you.
Oh- and one more star who's into hula hooping? Desperate Housewife-
Marcia Cross!

That's It- Get those hips moving and be ready for that bikini by
Memorial Day!

Good Luck!
