T.V. Doctor's Rx For Turning Back The Clock!

                          Wearing Wine To Look Younger!

If you're watching "The Today's Show's" series on making it to 100,

then you already know that Dr. Oz was on this morning giving his 7 tips
for making it to the century mark.
No offense to the good doctor, but his tips have been given out and recycled
for about 15 yrs. now.
What were they?
Go to bed earlier
exercising for 10 to 20 minutes is quite alright.
stand and balance on one leg for 30 secs. each day (to prevent falls later on in life)
eat purple foods, eggplant, plums, concord grapes and blueberries.
And drink some of the purple as well. As in wine.
But hold on, what if some members out watching don't drink?
That's okay, how about wearing some wine.
Wearing wine?
Yes, and if you start wearing it, you'll be just like former "Desperate Housewife"
Terry Hatcher.

It's rumored that Ms. Hatcher likes to pour some wine into her bath water
and relax for 15 to 20 mins.
And if you really want to turn back the clock, use some of that wine to make a
facial. Yes, a facial.

A facial penetrates your face to directly deliver major antioxidants to it.
And  since these antioxidants are absorbed,  they go to work  repairing damage
and protecting your skin against pollution and the Sun's rays, leaving it smoother
and with fewer fine lines.

To make your wine-face masque, you'll need wine, (any red wine will do)
honey and plain yogurt.
1/4 cup of wine, 1 Tbs. dark honey and plain yogurt 1 cup.

Mix together in a bowl.
Take a clean washcloth, and run it under warm water.
Lie back and place the washcloth over your face.
Leave it on for 30 secs. and then remove it.
Lay back in a comfortable chair and place the wine masque on your whole face
and neck. Leave on for 15 mins. and then rinse off with warm water.
Important tip:
Do this on your day off or on the weekend as some redness may occur.
Do this once or twice a wk. just until you get the results you want and
then once a week or once every 2 wks for maintenance.

Good Luck!

And one last tip-- If you have any chocolate, an Easter bunny or
a few candy bar leftover from this past Sunday, hold onto
them and eat a small amount each day.
Doing this will improve your health in ways you never thought possible.

In fact, one woman was so bogged down with stress and fatigue, she
thought the only way to overcome it was to take medication.
But luckily, a friend told her to eat some dark chocolate each day
and see if it made a difference.
Long story short, it (chocolate) worked, she didn't need the medication.
And if you want to know how dark choc. can help you prevent
and overcome a host of health problems, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store
and download, see title to the right...

Lowering Blood Pressure Tips Just For Women!

                              Lower High Blood Pressure!

Ladies, you may think the glitz and glamour that comes with being

a star is something you might want?
A lot of stars have problems like the rest of us.
And of those problems is...high blood pressure.
That's right, even high paid stars have to keep their blood
pressure in check, or else, what?
An increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.
And according to new research, it's not just the salty foods
and the negative attitude causing your blood pressure to go up.

The newest culprit: Birth Control Pills.

Just like women all over the U.S.,  there are a number of stars who
are on birth control and if you've been taking it for yrs.
it may be causing your blood pressure to go up.

Researchers say it's the extra estrogen in the pills that's causing it,
and as you may have read in a past post, extra estrogen in your system,
increases your odds of getting certain cancers, (especially breast cancer)
But today, it's high blood pressure. (It never ends)

Well ladies, you can fret and pout about it, or you can do something to
fight back, what is it?
Use food and exercise to lower your blood pressure.
Yes, just like you use them (food and exercise) to keep
weight off or boost your moods, you can use them to lower bl.
pressure and continue to stay on birth control.
The Foods:
*Barley-

Not much is known about the grain, but it can lower bl. pressure
in less than 3 wks. Make it according to package directions and eat
 like you would oatmeal.
* Plums-
Popular right about now, the purple beauties are loaded with
compounds that can help lower bl. pressure by 5 points.
And there's a side effect from eating 1 or 2 a day- stronger bones.
* Alcohol-
Are you like a Hollywood party girl, in that you like to get your

drink on? Well, do it too much, especially on an empty stomach and you raise your risk of getting H.B.P. by 50%. Eat some nuts or popcorn before and stop at 1 drink.
* Chicken Legs-
Legs and thighs on the grill right about now sounds heavenly, and believe it or not, the darker meat is better for lowering bl. pressure,
more so than the white meat.
That's it, and if you want more info, like...the thing you should ask your doctor if your blood pressure continues to rise, head on over
to Amazon.com/the kindle store and download...
see title to the right.
You'll also learn how high blood pressure increases your risk for Alzheimer's, some cancers and bone loss.
Don't wait, your health depends on it.

Good Luck!

Although most people aren't concerned about Sun damage this time of yr.

of cocoa a day. Cocoa has flavonoids that open up blood vessels, boosting
the flow of oxygen and nutrients to brain cells and cutting your risk of early

Coco went through a rigorous physical exam during the last season,

what did she find out? Her blood pressure was too high for someone her age.
And if she wants to lower it she may want to try the product with the
same namesake... Cocoa!
That's right- as you read about cocoa helping to prevent brain aging, it can
also help boost blood flow to all organs, including the heart and a better
working heart means blood pressure goes down. Plus, she may want to
add more sesame oil to veggie stir-fries and salads which will
bring it down as well.

So, if you're a hot cocoa lover, now you have a few more reasons to love it.
And if do plan on adding it to your your daily regimen, remember these tips...

go online to SwansonVitamins.com and buy their brand.
* make sure to leave out the danish, doughnuts, scones, bagels and other baked
goods, or you'll undo the good benefits of the cocoa.
* and if you're not a fan of the drink- perhaps you can buy cocoa in supplement
form. One to try: CocoaWell and Full Spectrum Cacao. 450 mg. day.

Cocoa's Rx For Lowering Blood Pressure!

                                Lower Blood Pressure Like Cocoa!

Cocoa, the star of her own E network show and wife of actor
and rapper Ice-T, allowed the viewers to see her at her doctor's
visit. Unfortunately, the doctor's visit wasn't a pleasant experience-why?

Cocoa learned her blood pressure was 170/100.

The normal blood pressure should be more like 120/80.
With that said, Cocoa and Ice-T tried to change their ways (dietary)
but it was hard. In the next episode Cocoa was eating a sandwich with
white bread. White bread has a lot of salt, and that's one of the problems
Cocoa will have to deal with.

That's right- Removing salt and using herbs will help lower blood pressure,
but what about the hidden sources.
Yes, hidden sources-you know salt that's lurking in everyday foods.
Listed below are some foods that contain salt, that you and Cocoa may still

be eating.
The Foods:
Deli Meat
Cured Meat
Meat Dishes like Meat Loaf
Condiments- like Ketchup and Soy Sauce
Chicken-yes chicken has salt
Cheese
Pizza- the Cheese
Breads and Rolls.
That's your list- eliminate, use herbs and spices to make certain
dishes (meatloaf) or eat some of the foods (Pizza or a ham sandwich) occasionally.

And if you want more ways to lower blood pressure, take a look at
