Newly Married Couple's Rx For a Better Brain!

                              Dance Like Kim and Robert!

If you're really a fan of celebrity news then you're probably aware of
the recent celebrity wedding.

The wedding of Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson.
You know- Mr. Herjavec from "Shark Tank"
and Kym Johnson from "Dancing With The Stars"

And according to recent news- men and women
that dance a few times a week can help keep
their brains in tip-top shape and even lower their risk of

getting Alzheimer's by a whopping 30%.

How does dancing help, you ask?
It (dancing) stimulates the release of nerve growth factor , a chemical that
increases your production of new brain cells.
And something more exciting- you can lower your odds even more
(of getting dementia) by listening and exercising to upbeat music.

So, for all of you out there that say "I hate to dance"
perhaps this post and the recent nuptials of Robert and Kym will
help change your mind.
Also important- If you're not a fan of dancing but still want to
prevent Alzheimer's, indoor cycling (or Soul cycling), walking
inside or outdoors for 20 to 30 mins, or even puttering around in the
garden will
help both body and Mind.

Good Luck!

Natural Remedies To Prevent The Presidential Disease!

                                          Prevent This Very Serious Disease!

You may have heard our 41st president has fallen and broken a bone
in his neck. The 41st president: George H.W. Bush!
This fall is the latest in a series of medical problems that have happened

to the former president.

One serious medical issue the president has and it's been kept under wraps is a
problem a lot of people are going through, what is it?
Parkinson's disease.

Every yr. 50, 000 Americans are diagnosed with this very debilitating
disease--a disease that affects the nervous system that makes things like
getting the mail, washing dishes, putting on your socks and even talking
extremely difficult.
And 2 other celebrities that are afflicted with Parkinson's like former Pres. Bush are--
Michael J. Fox and boxer Muhammad Ali.
And if you're doing things to prevent diabetes or Alzheimer's, you may as well
do some things to prevent Parkinson's as well and those things are...
a) Fish and Sun.
More specifically- get more vitamin D (The Sunshine vitamin) and eat more
fish. Both vitamin D and fatty fish activate hundreds of protective enzymes
 inside your brain.
What types of fish should you eat? Fatty fish like--salmon, sardines,
tuna, mackerel and trout. Important tip: make sure to bake, broil or grill
fish, deep frying it in a lot of oil, increases your odds of having a stroke.
And try and get outside for 20 to 25 minutes without sunscreen to soak up

some vitamin D.
And for those who hate fish, there are fish oil capsules and for those who

can't or are unable to get outdoors, get vit. D in capsule from.
Talk to someone well versed in alternative medicine for the right amounts.

b) Eat More Fruit-
Another benefit of getting more fruit into your system: Lower rates of
Parkinson's disease.
c) Go Nuts-
Not as in become mentally unstable, but eat peanuts.

Eat the red-skinned kind. Peanuts strengthen the brain's defenses against
environmental toxins that try and enter your system.
Not a fan of nuts?
Eat more dark colored grapes or have a glass (1 glass) of dark colored wine.
d) Go Sugar-Free-
As in gum and candy. Look for the ingredient mannitol in sugar-free gum and

candy, it helps block protein clumping on the brain, an early sign
of Parkinson's.
e) Coffee, Tea or Painkillers-
Believe it or not coffee and tea contain caffeine and it (caffeine)
prevents the nerve damage brain inflammation that leads to Parkinson's.
And for some odd reason, painkillers do the same thing.
But you don't want to get hooked on painkillers to lower your odds of getting

Parkinson's, so just stick with the coffee (2 cups a day) and tea, (3 cups a day).
Also important: Avoid the 2, 3 or 4 tsps. in each cup of coffee or tea and
skip the danishes, doughnuts, scones and cronuts. Too much sugar
certainly isn't good if you want to avoid Parkinson's.

And one last reminder- if you want to know more about the benefits of
fruit in helping you sleep, lose weight, conceive, go through an easier
labor, or in preventing certain illnesses and diseases (Parkinson's)

head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type---
see title to the right. Download it and learn why farmers stay so healthy and live such long lives.

Good Luck!

Neighbor's Rx To Prevent Alzheimer's!

                                   A Crusade From Seth Rogen!

Any Seth Rogen fans out there?
Well, if you're truly a fan, then you know that he and his wife
are heavily involved in Alzheimer's.

More specifically- finding a cure and how to prevent it.
In fact, Mr. Rogen is so passionate about it, he traveled all the way to
Washington to speak to a group of congressmen (and women)
about spending more on research to finding a cure.

And if you're like Seth Rogen and his wife and you too, want to
prevent it from happening to you or a loved one, perhaps

the simple suggestions listed below can help.

The Suggestions:

a) Vitamins-
C and E specifically. Both vitamins protect brain cells from troublemaking
molecules called free radicals.
Important tip: don't go overboard on the vitamin E. In this case, too much
of a "good" thing can be bad for you.
b) The Fall Superfruits-
If you're a real fan of Fall and the fruits that are available, then
load up on apples and pomegranates.
Although available yr. round, the 2 fruits are cheaper in the Fall.
Both fruits slow memory loss and protect brain neurons.
c) Spice Things Up-
If you're a salt and pepper kind of gal (or guy) you may want

to add some Turmeric to soups, salads, eggs, chicken, stir-fries
or stews. The spice is the main spice used in parts of India and
they (the people) only have about 5% of their elderly suffering
from the disease. Turmeric helps keep plaque from sticking to

vital brain cells.
d) Read A Book-
More specifically- Grain Brain by Dr. David Perlmutter.
The good doctor wants all people (especially) to go off
all grains (or eat them once in a blue mood) why?

He says doing this one move can result in a much younger
and vibrant brain.
e) Check This-
What is it? Your blood pressure. Think cholesterol is the real problem?
You're wrong, it's your blood pressure and if it's too high, you risk more
than heart attack, stroke, and diabetes, you also risk an increased risk of
Alzheimer's.
So, make sure to keep it (blood pressure) at 120 over 80 or even
115 over 75. Not sure how to lower it?
Spend $2 over at Amazon.com in the kindle store and download The Natural Rxs
To Lower Blood Pressure.

That's it- and if you really want to help Seth Rogen out,
you can also rent Neighbors. The 2014 movie starring Seth and Zac Efron.

Good Luck!

The View's Rx For a Beautiful Mind!

                      Avoid Alzheimer's Like Whoopi!

Concerned about Alzheimer's? So are a lot of people.
Well, believe it or not, Whoopi Goldberg's favorite beverage
may be the preventive medicine you need.
What is it?

Vegetable Juice.

Ms. Goldberg like Jay Leno is a "vegetable hater" and since she doesn't
eat them, she was advised to drink her vegetables.
And today, The American Journal of Medicine says that 2 to 3 glasses of
vegetable juice a day, reduces your odds of getting Alzheimer's by 75%.
Vegetable juice whether it's from a can or your own juicer provides your brain
with vital nutrients.

And lastly, just because you add vegetable juice, it's still wise to
watch the bad carbs (white foods) harmful trans-fats, foods with
dyes and  high fructose corn syrup.
More tips:Exercise, and if you smoke Quit, ( Whoopi did) and if you
don't smoke, keep it that way.
That's it- follow these tips and hopefully you'll never know
the pain and heartache of Alzheimer's.

Good Luck!

Dancing With The Stars Rx For Achy Muscles!

                           Dance Up A Storm!

Dancing With The Stars starts a new season Sept. 24th.
This season will be different- how? All of the contestants
have been on the show before, stars like...

Emmitt Smith, Melissa Rycroft, Drew Lachey and of course
Kirstie Allie.
If you only watch the show for the dancing and to see the costumes,

why not change that and take up dancing?
Take up dancing?

That's right- according to new research-dancing can make your

you healthier in a number of ways, like... A better memory, fewer
aches and pains and weight loss and weight maintenance.

Firstly, let's start with memory.
If you take up ballroom or tap, remembering the intricate steps
is a great way for you to build up your memory. And learning these
dance steps at 50, 60 or 70 is a great way to stave off Alzheimer's
and it'll keep you active.

Secondly, fewer aches and pains?
Yes, as you age you're more likely to
slow down and become less active- big mistake. Dancing helps you
stretch and tone muscles, improve flexibility and reduce muscle stiffness.
Word of caution: If dancing is too much, start with gentle stretching and
beginner's yoga.

Thirdly, Lose and maintain weight-
Ever notice the dancers and their trim physiques?
Well, they don't get if from hours at the gym or on the treadmill.
If weight is an issue and you're not able to stick with weightlifting

or spinning classes, perhaps a dance class is just what you need.

That's It- Some health lessons from "Dancing With The Stars!"

Good Luck!
