Movie Snack Rx To Lose Weight!

                           Eat Popcorn To Lose Weight!

If you're a regular movie goer or you love to stay home and watch movies,
just make sure you include the snack that'll help you lose weight.
What snack is that?
Popcorn!
Yes, you're reading it right, although it gets a bad rap as a
food that's fattening, it's simply not true.
Any food-from peanut butter to red meat can benefit
your health in some way and popcorn is no exception.

How does it work?
It's a high fiber food that's slow to digest, which means by the time you're

finished eating it, you'll be so satisfied, you won't reach for the twizzlers
or raisinets.
Plus, popcorn can also boost moods and keep you energized for hrs.

So, if you've been eating carrots and celery with low-fat dip during movie
hour, stop it and have some popcorn.

One more tip:
As mentioned earlier, peanut butter and lean red meat can be good for you,
but add white bread, a sugary drink and a dessert and they can quickly become
foods that'll add pounds and inches.

And the same thing applies to popcorn,  add tons of
butter and a gallon- sized tub of soda and you won't lose any weight.

Look for an air popper, at any discount store or go online (one available at Walmart)
and add a smidgen of butter or olive oil and spices like cayenne powder,
curry powder, turmeric, garlic and onion powder after you finish popping it.

Good Luck!

Movie Food Rx For Better Health!

Eat This Snack For Better Health!

Are you eating your 5 servings of fruit and vegetables
a day? No.. that's okay, you don't have to.
That's right, according to nutrition researchers you can get all

of the antioxidants you need from a food associated with movies
and movie theaters.

The Food: Popcorn!
Depending on how you make it, this food can bolster your health,
or it can cause your health to worsen.
A cup of air-popped popcorn has fiber, magnesium, phosphorus,
iron, zinc and manganese and at 155 calories for a few cups,
you can't find any other food that matches it.

So, to all those who are feeling guilty because you're not eating salads or
having kale and berry smoothies each and every day, stop feeling that
way, and break out the air popper.
And lastly, to make it even more beneficial, add some olive or coconut oil,
and some turmeric, garlic powder and cayenne pepper to your popcorn.

Good Luck!

Spiderman's Rx To Beat The Blues!

Movie Theater Treat To Battle The Blues!

Anyone out there plan on seeing the movie "Spiderman" this weekend?
It stars Emma Stone and the British chap-Andrew Garfield.
This post isn't really a post about Spiderman, more about the food (s)
you may be eating while watching Spiderman.
If you're a stickler for tradition-and you happen to be down,

then have some popcorn.

Why popcorn? Popcorn is a complex carbohydrate that revs up production
of mood-boosting serotonin in the brain. And popcorn is your best choice for
a snack. Plus, popcorn has loads of fiber and energizing iron and B vitamins.
Just 2 cups a day can boost your mood for up to 3 hrs.

But before you dig in, make sure to have it air-popped, and without
the loads of butter or margarine, and have some water or homemade fruit juice.
Drinking soda with your popcorn will only cause ups and downs in blood sugar

levels, making it difficult to break out of your bad mood.

That's it- A snacking Rx to help you beat blue moods.
Go Spiderman!

Good Luck!

Movie Snack Favorite For More Energy!

                                                   Popcorn For More Energy!
Are you one of those people who seems to lack the energy of your
co-workers or schoolmates? Are you a coffee drinker?
Well, according to new research- If you drink in the hopes that it'll give more
energy, you're sadly mistaken. The coffee will give you a boost  for awhile,
but that's wears off in about 30 to 40 mins.
Another way to gain energy and continue drinking coffee is to pair it
with a movie snack.
The movie snack: Popcorn!
That's right- Popcorn is a healthy, low-cal, good for you carb and when you
pair a good carb like popcorn with caffeine, you get a boost in energy.
How does the duo work? Pairing popcorn with coffee boost your energy levels
in two ways.
1) Caffeine blocks the buildup of adenosine-a chemical that causes muscle
to tire out as you use them.
2) Carbs supply your muscle cells with glucose-the primary source of fuel.
So, if lack of energy is something you're suffering with, and you've been
trying to fix it with coffee and a candy bar or coffee and a danish,
then you need to add some popcorn (air-popped) to the equation.

That's It- Popcorn and Coffee- what a funky combination.

Good Luck!
