Stars' Food Rxs To Get back On Track!

                               Getting Back On Track!

You may not be a star and that's okay, but you may have something in common with
your favorite star and what is that?
Going overboard or losing control at a party, a buffet table, a friend's wedding, etc.
and if you're one who does tend to eat and drink too much, use some of the
foods listed below to get back on track.

a) Water-
A glass of H2O will help flush out some of the toxins you take in from
cupcakes and alcohol, fills you up, and it (water)
helps cure the dry skin associated with the Winter season.
b) Fennel-

You may have heard all about this herb from the lovely Rachael Ray,
And if cravings for comfort foods, (Mac & cheese, biscuits, beef stew)
are getting the best of you, add more fennel to your meals or drink it as
a tea.

Not sure how to buy or prepare it? Go online to Google.com and type
how to use and prepare fennel. Or get the seeds and make a tea.
One last tip concerning fennel-- a top nutritionist recommends fennel
to her patients that are pregnant, why? It stops the endless cravings.
(Hear that Kim K?)
c) Berries-
Without a crust or whipped cream, just plain berries also help to curb Winter
comfort food cravings.

Another tip: Eat them with some vinegar, (balsamic or apple cider) and
reduce your risk of becoming a diabetic.
d) Fatty Fish-
Depressed, blue, always moody? Eat more fatty fish, it (fish) contains
blues-busting omega-3 fatty acids, the types of acids needed to help you
get through the winter months (mentally and physically)
 in one piece.
Plus, fish (salmon, sardines, tuna, trout, herring and mackerel)
is way cheaper than Prozac and other drugs and there are no side effects.
e) Eat Fat-
To lose fat.
You may be craving more comfort foods because you're eating the

wrong kinds of fats, (cake frosting, sweets, danish, etc) instead, eat avocados,
nuts, olive, walnut, macadamia and coconut oil and butter. (Yes, butter)
Put some in your coffee to help control appetite later in the day.
f) Eggs-

Yes, they get a bad rap and that's too bad, but eat some in the morning with
a green (or two) and some mushrooms and watch cravings disappear and appetites
shut down.
g) A Broth-
More specifically- bone broth soup, featured on today's edition of "Good
Morning America" this type of soup, will help cure hangovers, (drinking and overeating
hangovers), shut down hunger, and replace the minerals you lost due to a night of
drinking or overeating. Not sure where to find or how to make it?
Head to Google.com and type bone broth soup in the search bar.

That's it- some helpful food tips some of your favorite stars use to get back on track.
And for more great info, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type
The Thin Girl's Guide To Prevent Winter Weight Gain in the search bar.
Download it- it only costs the price of one nutritionally-deficient doughnut.

That's it for today.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Rx For Better Winter Health!

A Brunch Rx For Better Winter Health!
With the Fall season already here and the Winter season right behind, you know what that
means: More sickness.

And we're not just talking about colds and flu.

No- the other illness that gets too little attention is called SAD.
SAD? Yes, seasonal affective disroder and it's brought on by the change in weather,
change in seasons, less sunlight, abandoning exercise programs, more goodies
(food and alcohol) from Oct. 31 to March 17th, (St. Paddy's day) and more stress,
cooking, entertaining, (families getting together and looking for the perfect gifts).

And some of the signs you may have SAD: blue and dark moods, weight gains,
quick tempers, less social, etc.
And lastly, how does get out of or even avoid SAD?
Well, you can move to the land of Kim Kardashian and Caitlynn Jenner,
also known as Hollywood (or LaLa Land) and expose yourself to

endless sunshine and 80 degree days or you can...
eat less junk
eat less processed food
eat fewer sweets and other white foods
eat little to no high-fructose corn syrup,
MSG, and trans-fats
drink rarely or not at all
exercise (20 to 30 minutes each day)
get some sunlight, by opening up curtains or
investing in a sunlamp
socializing more
Volunteering
and eating the following.
Look at the recipe listed below, it'll help you avoid and prevent the
blue and dark moods.

Good Luck!

The Chew's Rx To Feel Great All Winter!

Eat This To Beat Winter Blues!

Are you a fan of the ABC cooking show- "The Chew?"
Well, if you are a fan, you're not alone.
A lot of people love this show, and one of the reasons for
its success: The hyperactive, talkative, dance queen known
as Carla Hall.

If you are a fan, then you know that Ms. Hall loves
oatmeal.
Yes, not that unusual, but if you're suffering from
the dark and dreary days of Winter, then you too,

may want to become like Carla and eat oatmeal 3, 5
or even 7 days a week.

Why?
Oatmeal is loaded with tryptophan, which boosts moods, and
it's low in protein, and that helps you feel more relaxed and
calm. And if you need help sleeping, have a bowl of
oatmeal an hour or 90 mins. before bed.

That's it- a bowl of oatmeal to boost moods.
One more thing--make it a good quality oatmeal.
No instant or quick oats. Look for slow-cooked
or steel-cut oatmeal.

Good Luck!
