Look As Lovely As Kate! Kate Beckinsale-the lovely English lass who is starring in the no. 1
box office hit, Contraband, is said to have one of the best complexions'
in Hollywood. And what's so surprising about this? Ms. Beckinsale will
be 40 yrs. old in 2013. Age 40 is when the skin can really start
show signs of wear and tear.
And for those of you out there who say- "she should have great looking
skin, with all of the money she makes!"
You're right- and that's why we at RedCarpetRxs have found a simple formula
for you "average Jane" to keep your skin in tip-top shape this Winter.
The Winter Skin Formula!
1) Use Two Products-
Winter skin benefits from layering moisturizing, Apply olive or coconut oil
in the morning after a shower or bath, and then apply some glycerin
or a little (just a little) vaseline. Especially around the eyes and neck area.
2) Use a Humidifier-
Dry Winter air dry out sinus passages and skin, so look into a getting a humidifier.
Run it on a cool mist, especially in the bedroom.
3) Monitor Bathing Time-
A hot bath is a great way to keep colds at bay (more on that at a later time)
but soaking too long, dries out skin. Limit it to under 10 mins. and no
bath or shower gels. They also dry your skin.
4) Watch This Moisturizer-
If you're not too keen on using olive or coconut oil as a moisturizer, that's okay.
Make sure Not to buy a moisturizer that comes in a pump-why? They contain
a lot of water that won't moisturize your skin. Look for moisturizers in jars or tubes.
5) Eat This-
Salmon or tuna or mackerel. Or the food-one researcher says will give you
the complexion of a preteen well into your 40's and 50's. The food: Sardines.
And the salmon rx has been pushed by Dr. Nicholas Perricone for a decade now.
Foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, improve your skin's texture and
help your skin retain moisture. Plus, fish contains vit. A and E, prevent skin damage.
More foods to eat: Kiwi, apples, avocadoes, tofu, eggs and white tea.
6) See A Doctor-
If your skin cracks or itches, you may need to see a doctor. It may be something
going on with your diet or an allergy.
That's It-
An easy solution to conquering that dry indoor (Winter) air and
hopefully giving you the skin-that'll compete with Ms. Beckinsale!
Good Luck!
