Star's Rx For a Healthier Snack!

                          Snack Like Gwyneth! 

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't endear herself to many people
when she talks about her diet.
Some see her diet as something that's too unattainable and impossible
to follow (long-term) but Ms. Paltrow only sees it as a way to improve one's
health and longevity and if you want to follow in her footsteps, then
you should try snacking like she does.

Snacking?
Yes, even Ms. Paltrow has snack attacks and the way she conquers
those attacks is with an alternative to a fattier and unhealthy snack.
The snack she prefers: Chips and the healthier alternative she favors: 

Beet Chips.

Beet chips?
Yes, you may remember kale chips were all the rage about 3 to 5 yrs. ago, but
today, Ms. Paltrow prefers thinly sliced beets that have a little olive or coconut oil 

on them and then baked (on a cookie sheet) for 20 mins. at 325 degrees. 

Not a fan of beets?
That's okay-try turnip chips or green squash chips or parsnip chips,
you get to make that decision and if you need something to dip your
chips in, here's a recipe for a great tasting salsa, using the fruit
that's plentiful this time of year... Watermelon.
The recipe for watermelon-avocado salsa.
Combine 2 cups of diced watermelon, (without the seeds)
along with 1 ripe avocado (also diced) some chopped red onion,
(1/4) cup, minced chili pepper or chili powder, salt,
and some lime juice (a few Tbs.)
That's it, and if you're a fan of mango, use it, or peaches, use them as well.

That's it, and remember, Ms. Paltrow only wants you to be your healthy best.

A Low-Cost Rx For Buying Casual Wear!

                                 Save Your Money and Become A Designer! 

Oh no, she's done it again.
Who is she, and what have she done?
Well, we're not about  talking Brittney Spears, the woman who's
getting criticized is a frequent target and lightening rod for saying
outrageous things and it's none other than Gwyneth Paltrow.

Are you shocked? 

Neither are we, and the thing that has people upset are T-shirts.
Yup, that's not a misprint, Ms. Paltrow has designed and placed some
T-shirts on her own site--Goop.
What's the problem?
She's wants you (regular folks) to pay $150 to $300 for each T-shirt.
(she also wants you buy more than 1).
Ms. Paltrow claims that her plain (no animals or funny sayings on the front)
T-shirts are for the average woman. 

Yes, the average woman who makes between 1 or more million a year.

So, if you don't have $200 or more to spend on a T-shirt, don't feel bad
and  don't spend time criticizing Ms. Paltrow, just head to Walmart,
Costco, JC Penny or T.J. Maxx and pick up 20 or so T-shirts for
$50 to $100.
Or go online to Zazzle.com, Threadless.com,  Spreadshirt or CafePress.com
and become a designer yourself.
Yea, that'll show her, and her is Gwyneth Paltrow.

A Star's Orange Rx To Slow Down Aging!

                Look Younger Like Gwyneth!

Last week we posted about Gwyneth Paltrow and her attempt
to fit in, you know, be more like you and me. 
What did she do?
She used an EBT card (food stamps) for a week,
okay more like 4 days.

Well, this week,  Ms. Paltrow is back and in her quest to 
remain youthful and wrinkle-free, she's copying
another star's secret go-to recipe for delaying the aging process.
The star she's copying: Uma Thurman and her secret weapon:
Pumpkins. As in oils and creams made with pumpkins.

If you go back a yr. or two and re read our post on pumpkins
and anti-aging, then you'll know how truly powerful they really are. 
And it's not just pumpkins, it's also carrots, butternut squash,  apricots,
acorn squash and sweet potatoes.
These foods are so powerful a woman hoping to age gracefully started to eat
some of these orange-colored foods at each meal and today, 12 yrs. later,  at age 
44, her skin still looks like she's in her early twenties.
Why are these foods so effective against aging?
They contain ample amounts of vitamin A  and  C, 2 vitamins that help soften
the skin and boost collagen production to prevent the signs of aging.

So, if you're like Gwyneth and Uma and you want look 5, 8 or even
10 yrs. younger, start eating or wearing more orange foods.

A Female Star's Rx For Good Health!

              The Citrus Rx For Better Health!

If you'be been following the news then you know that 
America's favorite criticized star is receiving more 
abuse. 
Who is the star?
Gwyneth Paltrow.

And for those who aren't up on their celebrity news,
Ms.Paltrow was criticized for using food stamps for a week,
hoping to show how difficult it is to buy healthy food
for 29 dollars  a week.
Well, this post isn't going to heap more criticism
on Ms. Paltrow, it's about one of the healthy foods she
bought.
And the healthy food Ms. Paltrow purchased was limes.

They often take a back seat to their famous cousins-
Lemons.
And if you don't think limes offer any nutritional benefits,
you're wrong.
Limes can boost health in a number of ways like...
-End Scurvy,
Usually the result of not enough vitamin C, 
scurvy causes frequent infections which cause more colds,
cold sores, especially on the corners of the mouth
and puffy and bleeding gums. 
Add more limes to your menus and watch your
all of these symptoms dissapear.
-build a strong heart.
With the number of heart attacks affecting women,
it's time to look for natural alternatives to get these 
numbers reduced and one of those ways is with limes.
Thanks to the fiber and vitamin C in limes,
LDL cholesterol (bad chol.) is flushed out helping to
