Star's Rx For a Healthier Snack!

                          Snack Like Gwyneth!

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't endear herself to many people
when she talks about her diet.
Some see her diet as something that's too unattainable and impossible
to follow (long-term) but Ms. Paltrow only sees it as a way to improve one's
health and longevity and if you want to follow in her footsteps, then
you should try snacking like she does.

Snacking?
Yes, even Ms. Paltrow has snack attacks and the way she conquers
those attacks is with an alternative to a fattier and unhealthy snack.
The snack she prefers: Chips and the healthier alternative she favors:

Beet Chips.

Beet chips?
Yes, you may remember kale chips were all the rage about 3 to 5 yrs. ago, but
today, Ms. Paltrow prefers thinly sliced beets that have a little olive or coconut oil

on them and then baked (on a cookie sheet) for 20 mins. at 325 degrees.

Not a fan of beets?
That's okay-try turnip chips or green squash chips or parsnip chips,
you get to make that decision and if you need something to dip your
chips in, here's a recipe for a great tasting salsa, using the fruit
that's plentiful this time of year... Watermelon.
The recipe for watermelon-avocado salsa.
Combine 2 cups of diced watermelon, (without the seeds)
along with 1 ripe avocado (also diced) some chopped red onion,
(1/4) cup, minced chili pepper or chili powder, salt,
and some lime juice (a few Tbs.)
That's it, and if you're a fan of mango, use it, or peaches, use them as well.

That's it, and remember, Ms. Paltrow only wants you to be your healthy best.

Good Luck!

Country Star's Rx For Eating Sweet Treats!

                          Snack Like Reba!

Reba McEntire is still going strong, she's a few yrs. from 60 and she just released
her 27th album.
And if you're wondering how she manages to stay so slim and youthful looking,
she made a diet change about a decade ago that's now becoming commonplace
in Hollywood and throughout the U.S.

What did Ms. Reba do?
She eats mostly fruit, vegetables, lean meats, fish and good fats.
Yes, it's similar to the  Paleo diet.
And if you're wondering where are the carbs, Ms. Reba doesn't deprive herself,
she just makes sure she only eats a small amount on the weekends and holidays.
And her one food vice: Sweets.

Ms. McEntire considers herself a "Sweet Junkie" so she has to be careful,

her solution: She only eats a bite or two of say- a cookie, a slice of pie or cake.
Balance is the key that works best for her, not going to extremes or cutting out
her favorites entirely.

So, if you're like Ms. Reba and are struggling with a sweet tooth or a
carb addiction, do like Ms. Reba and eat them on the weekends

and only eat a small portion.
And if you want more tips on how Reba stays positive, fights aches and
pains, and uses only low-cost makeup, go to your local supermarket or
drugstore and pick up the magazine--First For Women. She's on the cover.

Good Luck!

The Morning's Show Rx To Help Men Liver Longer!

                                Take a Vacation To Sardinia!

If you're into living longer and enjoying a better quality of life,
then you may want to tune into the "Today show"
With Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie?
Yes.

Each day they're taking you *the viewer" to a spot in the World
where the people routinely make it to 90 or more yrs. of age.
And today's spot: Sardinia.
A scenic island on the Mediterranean, where both men and women enjoy
long and healthy lives.

How?
Bu doing a number of things like...
* Eat more beans. If beans don't fit into your Paleo or vegan diet,
you're making a big mistake. In fact, the people who eat the most beans
enjoy the longest lives. People from Tuscany, the Hunzas from the Himalayans
mountains and of course, the people from Central and South America.
One tip: If you do start adding more beans to your diet, start slowly,
too many and you may get stomach discomfort and gas.
* They Enjoy Their Work-
Americans work hard until they're in their mid 60's and then the work stops.
But in Sardinia, they continue doing what they've always done, right into their
80's, 90's and beyond. In fact, their work also passes for exercise.

* They Drink-
Not to excess like in the U.S. a glass or two of wine and that's it.
And the wine they drink is also important, what kind of wine?

One made with the skins and seeds. It's called Cannonau.
Look for dark red wines in the U.S. wines like...
Merlot, Malbec, and Pinot Noir.
* They Eat Bread-
With the Paleo craze going strong, bread eating may be a distant memory

for a lot of Americans, but if you still crave and eat bread, make it unleavened
bread like they do in Sardinia.

It's a type of bread made without yeast, baking powder or soda and is thin like
sheet music.
Where can you find this type of bread? Go to a regular supermarket,
and look for Matzo, tortillas, some flatbreads or go online to FoodForLife.com
and look for their selection of yeast-free breads and cereals.

That's it- 4 tips to help you make it to age 100 (or more) and if these
tips whet your appetite and you want to know more about the Sardinians,

the Hunzans, the French, The Japanese or the Greeks from Crete, go online to
Amazon.com/the kindle store and type The Asian, French, Greek and Italian
Secrets To Super Longevity in the search bar.

Each copy sold helps us, so we can continue to bring you more tips on living
well and living long.

And lastly, check out the "Today show" on Wed. morning, and learn how a
group of people from California, (yes, California) make it to 90 and 100 easily

and  effortlessly.
This too, is also included in the E-book mentioned above.

Good Luck!

Stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Ed Begley Jr. and Jessica
Alba (of course) use products that won't harm one's health.

in our products.

And to get you started on your Spring cleaning quest,
here's a tip to help get odors and stains out of your rugs.
The tip:

Pour vinegar (saturate the rug) and baking soda over a rug (s) that has stains
and odors on them, leave the vinegar and baking soda alone

Country Star's Diet Rx For Women Over 50!

                              Eat Like Dolly Parton!

Dolly Parton, the superstar songstress has been in the public

eye for close to 50 yrs. and like a lot of women-Ms. Parton
struggles with weight.
And if you're in the public eye, that struggle can be a whole lot

tougher. How so?
Critics, fans , the tabloids  and paparazi constantly judging you,

making comments, etc.

Well, Ms. Parton decided to do something a few stars are doing, and if you
struggle with cravings and weight gain, you might want to try it as well,
What is it?

Ms. Parton, eats well, (a Paleo or Atkins) diet Monday thru Friday and
on the weekend, it's goodbye diet, hello carbs and sweets.
Now, keep in mind, that Ms. Parton is only 5' 1" or 5' 2" tall, so she makes
sure she only eats small portions of her favorite foods.
Her biggest splurge: Potatoes, (also Oprah's favorite). Ms. Parton says
she has to have hash browns, fries and baked potatoes--come the weekend.

And if you're wondering, if this diet is some new craze in Hollywood, it isn't.
It's called  the "80-20" diet, it's been around
for some time now,  and it's practiced by a number of people
in the U.S. and Denmark.
In fact, 3 male stars have been following it for a few yrs. now-

the 3 stars: Terry Crews, Mario Lopez and The Rock!
Although it may be only one day (Sunday) for all 3 of these guys.

So, if you're struggling, losing and then gaining weight or constantly

thinking about fat grams, calories, etc. perhaps this is the diet that may
help you get on the right path and stop dieting altogether. It's working
for 67 yr. old Ms. Parton.

And one last tip, make sure to eat your favorites in moderation,
going overboard and trying to eat all of your favorites on Sat. or Sun.
will only result in stomachaches, headaches, acne, and weight gain.

Good Luck
