A Horror Movie Rx For Better Night's Sleep!

                                          Improve Sleep With Scary Thoughts!

That's not a misprint, thinking scary thoughts can help you get to sleep and

stay asleep.
On this morning's edition of "Good Morning America" the host did another story on
sleep, or the importance of getting between 7 to 8 hours each night.
Anything less and you risk heart trouble, diabetes, certain cancers
(especially breast cancer) and a mushy middle. (middle-age spread)

And if you're in the less than 6 hours each night camp and want to change that,

then you better start thinking about something scary.
To do it--Just head to bed and let any thought, scary or unpleasant, (feuding

with a co-worker or family member also count) fill your mind.
Do this and in the future, give it (the thought) a time limit, (set a timer if you have to)
and after the time is up, tell yourself (I am done thinking about that scene from
that particular scary movie or my feud with my co-worker) and start to replace the

negative thinking with some positive thinking, like...
" I will get to sleep and stay asleep" or " that scene from that scary movie
won't keep me up".
Scientists theorize that trying to block or not think about negative thoughts
only makes falling asleep that much more difficult.
Plus, you may even dream about the negative movie scene or work situation.
So, if you've been hampered by anything negative and it's affecting your sleep,
try this simple technique.
And if you need more all-natural and healthy alternatives to help you
sleep, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type....

The Cheer's Rx For A Good Night Sleep!

                  Sleep Through The Night!

Do you remember the series--"Cheers?"
After being off the air for more than 10 yrs. it's now being
enjoyed by a new generation of fans thanks to reruns on
some channels.

If you were a fan of the show, then you may remember that
a lot of beer was consumed on the show.
But wait, it wasn't really real beer, it was "near beer"
what is that?
It was nonalcoholic beer, the show didn't want the
actors to be drunk by 11:00 am and not be able to
finish the rest of the day, so they used imitation beer.

And new research says that the producers of Cheers
may have discovered a natural cure for insomnia
and weren't even aware of it.

A cure for Insomnia?
Yup, you were always told to avoid any types of alcoholic
beverages an hour or two before bed, but there's nothing
wrong with nonalcoholic beer.
In fact, nonalcoholic beer has more hops, which are herbs
that give beer its unique taste and those same hops
can raise your levels of the drowsy-making neurotransmitters,
GABA.

So, if Insomnia is an issue for you or your spouse, boyfriend,
BFF or coworker, tell them about the Cheers remedy for
overcoming it.
And if you're not a fan of real or near beer, look for Hop tea.
Find this sleep-inducing product at health food stores,
or go online to BuddhaTea.com and order some for yourself.

That's it- and one more thing, if you have leftover boiled eggs
from Sunday, hold onto them. We'll post some healthful and helpful

tips on how eating more boiled eggs can really boost your looks,
save your eyesight, keep your  heart healthy and rev up metabolism.
See title at right.
Available at Amazon.com/the kindle store.
Download it today and learn how boiled eggs can
improve your health in a number of ways.

Jay Leno's Rx For Better Health!

                         Don't Sleep Like Jay!

This week will be Jay Leno's last time as host of "The Tonight Show!"
Starting the 3rd wk. of Feb. Jimmy Fallon will be the host.
One thing Jay Leno may do with his extra time off is sleep.
Why sleep?

Jay Leno, (like actress Olivia Munn) is notorious for sleeping only
4 to 5 hrs. a night.
And if you're like Jay, and thinks this is acceptable, you're very wrong.
How wrong?
New research shows regularly skipping sleep can release toxins

in your system that set you up for everything from Dementia to
breast cancer to Parkinson's, and there's more.
Getting too little sleep once or twice a week can release chemicals inside your brain that resemble concussions.
So, don't be like Jay Leno and sleep 4 to 5 hrs. a night,
get your 7 to 8 hrs. and feel and look like a million bucks.

Need help financially?
Concerned about college costs? Or your
retirement funds? Well, learn how a negative

mind set may be keeping you from enjoying a
healthy bank account.
And if you hurry, you can learn how Oprah used
8 secrets to make a fortune of 3 Billion dollars.

Rachael Ray's Rx For Better Sleep!

                             Sleep Like Rachael Ray!

On today's Rachael Ray show-She talked about flat stomachs.
The author told Rachael about some foods to eat, some exercises
to do and the importance of good sleep to get the stomach of your dreams.

Ms. Ray talked about watching  TCM , (Turner Classic Movies)
right before bed and the author told Ms. Ray to stop doing it.
Why would someone tell you not to watch T.V. before bed?
Well, there are a number of reasons, like...
a) If it's a horror movie, it may keep you up and interfere with sleep.
b) If it's the news and you watch a violent crime or a fire that's
left a family homeless can also cause you to stay awake.
c) The light from the T.V. stimulates the part of the brain that
keeps you awake.
d) The light also prevents the melatonin (the sleep hormone)
from working at it's optimal best.
e) And a  T.V. in the room may work against you sexually.
How so? See tip b, seeing gory and unpleasant images,
is not conducive to a healthy sex life.

So, are you convinced? Ready to turn off the T.V. in favor of
a good night's sleep?

Well, if you do adopt a "no T.V." rule, remember you can still watch,
but make it a comedy like Golden Girls or Seinfeld, and make it at least
an hour before bed.

That's it- A good comedy for a good night's sleep.
