Spring Allergies Rxs For A Morning Host!

                  Beat Spring Allergies Naturally!

Do you suffer from Spring allergies?
Well, join the crowd, you are not alone.
On this morning's "Good Morning America"
co-host Amy Robach revealed she was really suffering from allergies.

And if you want to reduce the wheezing, sneezing, watery eyes and other

symptoms, try natural methods.
That's right, yes the Claritin, Allegra and doctor prescribed meds can help,
but at what price?
In addition to becoming hooked on these meds, you may also lose a lot of money as well,
and that's why using all-natural remedies  is the best (and safest) option.

Not sure what natural methods to use, sit back and continue reading.
a) Bend A Little-
As in take up yoga. Wildly popular in Hollywood, the breathing exercises that you do
during a session can open up airways, unclog nasal passages and help you reduce stress.
Look for a yoga instructor in your hometown or go online, head to Youtube.com
and type yoga/breathing exercises in the search box. Or go to your local library
and see if there's a yoga DVD available.

b) Drink More-
No, not alcohol, but green tea or water. Green tea blocks allergy-triggering symptoms
like histamine and water-keeps you well hydrated, which helps reduce allergy symptoms
by 45%.

c) Go Paleo-
A number of people who follow the Paleo diet, (lean meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit,

nuts and good fats) have said that when Spring rolls around, they don't get any
of the allergy symptoms like they did in the past.
Some researchers say a diet loaded with white carbs. processed foods  and sweets make
allergy symptoms a hundred times worst.

That's it- 3 tips to help you and Ms. Robach get through the rest of Spring.
If you want some more natural methods like the ones listed above, just head to
Amazon.com/the kindle store and type Natural Cures To Beat Spring Allergies!
Make sure to read the chapter on the foods that make things much better and
the foods that'll keep you wheezing, sneezing, coughing and rubbing your eyes
well into June and July.

Good Luck!

GMA's Rx For Better Health!

                         Snack Like George!

Did you catch this morning's "Good Morning America?"

They did a cute segment where they brought in kids who
looked like the hosts.
This morning, they had two lookalikes who resembled
Amy Robach and George Stephanopoulos.

The kids were also tested on what they knew about the
hosts they resembled.

The young man who resembled George, said "George eats
an apple everyday as soon as he goes off the air."
George, literally eats an Apple a Day.

If you're aware of the Apple a Day saying and aren't

practicing it, you may want to do like George and start, why?
An apple a day can...

a) Boost heart health.
Concerned about heart disease as you age? Don't fear it,
have an apple a day, and block and repair damage you may
have already done.
b) Eat Less-
Concerned about your big appetite? Don't do like George,
just eat an apple or two before your 2 biggest meals.
Apples are considered "nature's best and safest diet pills.
It must work for George, he's been slim for 53 yrs. now.
c) A Better Memory-
Are you concerned you may not remember like you used to?
Build a super memory like George, and eat or even better, drink
some organic apple juice. 2 cups a day. Apples (and the juice)
raise neurotransmitters that are important to memory as you age.
d) Beautiful Skin For Life-
A woman started peeling an apple, slicing the apple, placing

those slices in a saucepan, added a 1/4 cup of milk, heated both
the apple and milk up for a few minutes, turned off the pan, and
allowed it to cool a bit. Then, she reclined in a comfortable

chair and placed the apples all over her face, neck and hands,
she did this for 15 to 20 minutes, and then removed the apples,

rinsed off her face with warm water and applied her moisturizer.
She did this 2 to 3 times a week, starting in her late 30's and
today--she's 55, does it once a week and still remains wrinkle-free.
That's right- eating them or wearing them as a mask, will help you look

yrs. younger. One tip: if you do eat them, make sure you eat the skin,
the fiber in the skin will benefit your health in a number of ways.

That's it- And for all those who wonder how George Stephanopoulos remains
so vibrant and youthful at age 53, wonder no more. It's the old Apple-A-Day trick.
And if you're wondering about Donald Trump's health secret: "The Donald"

eats a cheeseburger every night (true story).

Good Luck!

Melrose Place Rxs For Women!

                                      Foods To Fight Breast Cancer!

If you're over 40 yrs. of age, you may remember the T.V. show--"Melrose Place"
It starred Heather Locklear, Courtney Thorne Smith and actor Andrew Shue.
It also starred a few other actresses and actors, but people may remember
the 3 listed above more than the others.
And speaking of Mr. Shue, his wife just announced on television that she
has breast cancer.

Who is his wife?
She's news reporter and anchorwoman Amy Robach!
That's right, she put off having a mammogram, but decided to do it on the

air, at the urging of Robin Roberts and her desire to help other women who
were also putting it off.

And this morning, Ms. Robach let the audience in on her the results.
The results: She has breast cancer.
We wish Ms. Robach, Andrew Shue and their kids the best and hopes she
comes through it better and healthier.

And if you're a woman or have a special woman in your life,  and you want to help
her prevent this disease, there are some things you can do.
Things like make food choices that'll help your mammograms turn up negative
yr. after yr.

The foods that'll do it are...
a) Green tea or white tea.

Both teas contain compounds that surrounds breast cancer cells,
and suffocates them. And with that suffocation, they shut off up to

65% of their (the cancer cells) blood supply.
Drink 2 cups daily.
b) Eat More-

Fish. It doesn't have to be expensive salmon or sea bass, but fish
rich in omega-3's, like tuna, sardines or herring.
Fish forces abnormal cells to die before they can divide and spread.
And if you're concerned about mercury in fish, head to Trader Joe's
and look for canned fish that have low mercury counts listed on the

label. Or add more cilantro to your diet, it's an herb that helps clear
metals out of your body. Add it to salads, fish dishes or put some in
a mug, add hot water and drink it as a tea.
c) Head to Mexico-
Not really, but eat the food that's as popular in Mexico as burgers are in
the U.S. The food: Black beans.
A black bean filled taco or a salad with black beans will lower your
risk by 25%. Black beans help protect your breasts from the
air pollution, the air freshners and other pesticides you're exposed to on
a daily basis. Create a double duty breast cancer fighter, add cilantro to

your black beans.
That's it- this is only 3 foods, but if you want a list of about 30 more foods,
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store. The E-document-
The Superfoods That'll Prevent Breast Cancer!
It was put together by the same people who bring you
Red Carpet Rxs and SupermarketRxs@typepad.com.

And one last thing, please say a prayer for Amy Robach and
her husband- Andrew Shue, they'll need it.

Good Luck!
