A Morning Show Host's Fruit Rx For a Youthful Body!

An Apple A Day For George!

We've mentioned it in  2, 3 or maybe even more posts, but it needs to
be repeated.

What is it? "Good Morning America's co-host George Stephanopolous
eats an apple every day.

And what so special about this bit of news?
Well, the old adage--"an apple a day-keeps the doctor away"
may very well be true, and it (an apple) also keeps
plaque from attaching to arteries in the brain and heart,
(lower chances of developing heart disease or Alzheimer's)
helps prevent gallstones
Parkinson's disease
Keeps you regular (as in more bowel movements)
whiter teeth, (eat an apple if no toothbrush is around)
lowers cholesterol levels
regulates blood sugar (lower odds of getting diabetes)
It's a  natural appetite suppressant (eat one before you
take on that burger and fries or deep dish pizza)

And according to the latest research-- They (apples) can keep your body supple,
limber, strong and youthful well into your golden yrs.

We know that many in Hollywood  are obsessed
with keeping their faces youthful, but what about their bodies?
If you're only concerned with the lines, the sagging and the plain old aging
of your face, it's time you also gave some consideration to your body,
and one way to turn back and even stop your body from aging is by eating more apples.
More specifically- the skin of the apples.
Apple skins contain compounds in them called Ursolic acid, and this type of acid lessens muscle loss and weakness by a whopping 35%.

So, are you ready to be more like George Step. and eat more apples (and their skins)?

If so, look for apples at any produce store, health-food store or supermarket and
get started on a youthful face and body.
And if you can't afford to buy organic, just make sure to really clean the peels
thoroughly, and if you can't chew the peel, clean them and juice them.
Also helpful- if you really want to speed up the process for a stronger and younger body,

eat some other foods that contain ursolic acid, foods like cranberries,
prunes, thyme, basil, oregano and rosemary.

And one last tip: Go back in our archives, and look for the apple and

milk mask recipe. A mask so powerful, one woman said that if you start
using it in your 20's, it'll help you look 10, 12 or even 15 yrs. younger
well into your 40's, 50's and even 60's.

Hey, it's working for George, he'll be 60 in less than 5 yrs.
Or you can forgo this tip and eat the food Donald Trump reportedly eats
everyday, what is it?
A Cheeseburger.

Good Luck!

Spring Allergies Rxs For A Morning Host!

                  Beat Spring Allergies Naturally!

Do you suffer from Spring allergies?
Well, join the crowd, you are not alone.
On this morning's "Good Morning America"
co-host Amy Robach revealed she was really suffering from allergies.

And if you want to reduce the wheezing, sneezing, watery eyes and other

symptoms, try natural methods.
That's right, yes the Claritin, Allegra and doctor prescribed meds can help,
but at what price?
In addition to becoming hooked on these meds, you may also lose a lot of money as well,
and that's why using all-natural remedies  is the best (and safest) option.

Not sure what natural methods to use, sit back and continue reading.
a) Bend A Little-
As in take up yoga. Wildly popular in Hollywood, the breathing exercises that you do
during a session can open up airways, unclog nasal passages and help you reduce stress.
Look for a yoga instructor in your hometown or go online, head to Youtube.com
and type yoga/breathing exercises in the search box. Or go to your local library
and see if there's a yoga DVD available.

b) Drink More-
No, not alcohol, but green tea or water. Green tea blocks allergy-triggering symptoms
like histamine and water-keeps you well hydrated, which helps reduce allergy symptoms
by 45%.

c) Go Paleo-
A number of people who follow the Paleo diet, (lean meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit,

nuts and good fats) have said that when Spring rolls around, they don't get any
of the allergy symptoms like they did in the past.
Some researchers say a diet loaded with white carbs. processed foods  and sweets make
allergy symptoms a hundred times worst.

That's it- 3 tips to help you and Ms. Robach get through the rest of Spring.
If you want some more natural methods like the ones listed above, just head to
Amazon.com/the kindle store and type Natural Cures To Beat Spring Allergies!
Make sure to read the chapter on the foods that make things much better and
the foods that'll keep you wheezing, sneezing, coughing and rubbing your eyes
well into June and July.

Good Luck!

Good Morning America's Rx For Great Health!

                      An Apple A Day!

Did you see "Good Morning America" this morning?
Co-host Lara Spencer reported on apples.
What's so unusual about that?
Ms. Spencer reported that women who eat an apple or two
a day, can improve their sex lives.

Researchers say that apples may improve arousal,  lubrication,
and orgasms.
In fact, that may be true, but if women really want their
own version of Viagra, they should eat  all types of fruit.
That's right, a top "sexpert" says that men and women can
improve their sex lives by adding some watermelon, plums,
cantaloupe, kiwi, strawberries and apples to their daily diets.
And there's more, if you really want to know more about
improving your sex life, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store
and type All Natural Rxs To Boost The Female Libido in
the search bar. Download it you'll learn which specific fruits boost the
female sex drive, you'll also learn the vitamins, the minerals
and the exercises to really turbocharge your sex drive-naturally
and without any side effects.

Now, back to "GMA" and the apples.
As Ms. Spencer was telling her story (about apples and female libido)
Robin Roberts revealed that her other co-host, George Stephanopoulos,

eats an apple everyday.
That's right, Mr. Stephanopoulos eats one everyday without fail,
and if you should copy George, and do the same, then you
should also know about some of the benefits you'll receive,

benefits like...
a) Reduction in Appetite-
Apples are considered "nature's best, safest and cheapest diet pills.
Eat one before your lunch or dinner and it'll help you eat less of
that lasagna or fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.
Hey, it must be be working, Mr. Stephanopoulis weighs exactly the same
as he did in college.
b) Lower Cholesterol-
Is your Dr. trying to push the " you must take statin drugs to reduce
your cholesterol" at you? Tell him or her, you'd like to try
an apple or two a day, first.
c) Lung Cancer-
Ladies, think breast cancer is the cancer you should only be
concerned about? Not so, lung cancer is affecting more women
than men today. Why? Smaller lungs, and it doesn't matter if you've
never smoked. Apples help lower your odds of ever getting it.
Make sure you eat the peel, that's what really helps you to

prevent lung cancer.
d) Youthful Skin-
A woman heard about the benefits of apples to help prevent wrinkles.
Well, she not only ate them, she wore them as well. Wearing apples?
Yes, as in a mask. She peeled and sliced one apple, placed the

slices in a small saucepan and added some milk. (1/4 cup)
She let the milk and apple simmer for a few mins. turned off
the stove, let the apples sit for a few mins. removed the
milk and then placed the apple slices into a bowl.
She then sat in her recliner, leaned back a bit and placed the
apple slices on her face, neck and hands (on top of her hands)
stayed there for 15 mins. and finished up by removing the apples,

and rinsing her face with warm water.
She started doing this at age 32 and today, at 65, she's wrinkle-free.
She also did other things, like eat right and exercise.

So, if you heard the saying "an apple a day" and weren't sure
what it meant or what were the benefits, now you know.
And as for George Stephanopoulos, continue doing it,
you could be Donald Trump, it's rumored he has a cheeseburger
every single day.

Good Luck!

Bethenny's Rx For A Healthier Summer!

                         Drink Up To Boost Health!

Bethenny Frankel's show is officially over.

Yes, you can still catch reruns, but after the 1st week of Sept.
that's it, no more Bethenny Frankel.

But don't despair, you'll still be able to buy her "skinny girl"

drinks and if you enjoy an alcoholic beverage a few times a week,
make sure to add some fruit to those drinks.
Fruit?

Yes, according to new research, fresh or frozen (not canned)
fruit like strawberries, raspberries or blueberries can really
improve your health.

The researchers think the alcohol enhances the power of
antioxidants in fruit to neutralize harmful molecules linked
to serious diseases and illnesses.
If you're a fan of blueberries, add some to a Daiquiri
and you can...

*flatten your stomach
*stop cravings for fatty food
* Improve brain health and lower your chances of getting
  Alzheimer's and dementia.
--------------------------------------
If you like strawberries, add a few to your Daiquiri and you can...
* Lower your odds of getting breast cancer by a whopping 300%.
This news may be too late for former GMA host- Joan Lunden,
but if you're cancer-free, keep it that way.
* Boost heart health, prevent high blood pressure and hardening
   of the arteries.

Important tip: If you want more of the superfoods that'll
prevent breast cancer, head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle
store, and download...The "Superfoods" that'll prevent Breast Cancer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you like cherries, add them to your Mimosa and you can...

* Sleep like a baby. 7 to 8 hours straight.
* End aches and pains. Especially gout. Inflammation of the big toes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you like raspberries, add them to a Appletini and you can...
* Rev up metabolism
* Reduce and even get rid of age spots.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's it, and if you or someone close to you makes you feel guilty
about having that daiquiri or mimosa, tell him or her that you're
improving your health.

Good Luck!

GMA's NonSweet Rx For Better Health!

                Going Sugarless!
If you caught this morning's edition of "Good Morning America"
then yousaw weekend anchor Dan Harris and Katie Couric.

Mr. Harris interviewed Katie about her new documentary--"Fed Up!"
What's it about?

How our (America's) love affair with sugar is causing more than big waistlines.
And it's just not warning about the harmful effects of sugar,
but how it's everywhere--salad dressing, soy sauce, tomato
sauce and unsweetened juices.

The documentary asks you (the viewer) to give up sugar
for 10 days. If you were asked, could you give it up?
Well, Mr. Harris took Katie up on the challenge and
didn't have a sweet treat for 10 days.
Mr. Harris revealed that he doesn't smoke, or drink,

and eats plenty of fruits and vegetables, his only
vice: Sweets.
Mr. Harris also revealed that he likes a piece of cake
or some cookies before bed, and that going without
for ten days was difficult.

Well, Mr. Harris survived and reported that he slept a whole
lot better. And when the 10 days were up, he searched his house
and found some Swedish Fish. (candy).
As for Katie who took the 10 day challenge, she reported losing
some fat in her stomach and waking up earlier, feeling refreshed
and raring to go.
Sugar like wheat, is one food that Hollywood always seems to be
eliminating at some point and time.

Could you do it?
If you want to try, watch more of Dan Harris and his abstaining from
sugar, on tonight's edition of Nightline. Or watch Katie Couric's
full documentary --"Fed Up!"
And if you try it, you'll be in good company, some other celebrities
who've tried it for 10 days and one who did it permanently.

The star who did it for ten days--Jenny McCarthy of The View.
After the 10 days, she reported that her joints stopped aching.
Consider sugar a food that can inflame your joints, arms, feet,
back, knees and your heart and brain.

And the star who did it (gave up sugar permanently): Jack Lalanne.
Jack Lalanne- many of you may remember his juicers or exercise
studios and at 15, he went after his brother with an axe.
Asking for and looking for a change, Jack attended a health seminar
in his hometown,
the subject: the dangers of white foods, too much meat and sugar.
After hearing that lecture, Mr. Lalanne changed his diet (at 15,

no more burgers, fries and milkshakes) and the rest is history.
One more story about Jack Lalanne. He opened up his first exercise
studio in Southern California, and one of his first pupils' was a man

who would go on to become "Dirty Harry"
That's right, Clint Eastwood, also changed his diet (at 19) and followed Jack's
workout and diet advice and today, he's still directing movies and acting.
His age: 84 in about 9 days.

And one more thing about GMA, the hosts talked
about a new type of female Viagra being tested.
Ladies, don't waste time looking for the female Viagra,
just head to your supermarket and pick up fresh
and frozen fruit, eat 2 small bowls a day along with 2 small
meals of chicken, lean beef, or salmon, along with stir-fried
or steamed veggies and some brown rice (or quinoa).
And if that's not enough, and you're willing to spend
about $2, head to Amazon.com.the kindle store and download

a copy of Libido Boosters For Women.
In it, you'll find foods (like specific fruits), vitamins and supplements
that'll work better than any untested and not yet available
"Female Viagra."

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Rx Just For Younger Women!

                Mammograms For Younger Women!

Ladies, remember when Good Morning co-host Amy Robach,
announced she had breast cancer?

She was 40 and thought she was too young for a mammogram.
Well, Robin Roberts told her "put those fears aside and do it."
Ah, the wisdom of someone older, Robin Roberts was right,
new research says that women should be getting mammograms
in their late 30's and early 40's.

Why?
The earlier you have a mammogram, the better the medical

professionals are able to catch a tumor at its smallest
and you may not need chemotherapy.

And you may be wondering why women who look as healthy
as Ms. Robach are getting breast cancer.
Believe it or not, it's something you may be avoiding that's causing it.
What is that? No Sun or too little Sun,
Yup, women who live in California, Florida and Arizona have lower
rates of breast cancer than those who live in Mass. Ohio, Michigan
and Minn.

Researchers say that the vitamin D you get from the Sun, helps keep

you breast cancer-free and if you're like Ms. Robach and working indoors
most of the week, you're not getting any exposure to Sun.
So, what do you do?
You can move to Hollywood (not a possibility?) or you can get more D from
supplements (check with your Dr. on amounts) or you can eat
more foods like sockeye salmon, mackerel, shiitake and white button
mushrooms and herring.
And if you're able-get some Sun, 15 to 20 mins. with no sunscreen,
and a little more for people of Color. (Lupita Nyong'o).

Need more tips on how to stay breast cancer-free?
Head to Amazon.com/ the kindle store and check out The Superfoods That'll
Prevent Breast Cancer. Type it into the search bar and then download it.

Good Luck!

Melrose Place Rxs For Women!

                                      Foods To Fight Breast Cancer!

If you're over 40 yrs. of age, you may remember the T.V. show--"Melrose Place"
It starred Heather Locklear, Courtney Thorne Smith and actor Andrew Shue.
It also starred a few other actresses and actors, but people may remember
the 3 listed above more than the others.
And speaking of Mr. Shue, his wife just announced on television that she
has breast cancer.

Who is his wife?
She's news reporter and anchorwoman Amy Robach!
That's right, she put off having a mammogram, but decided to do it on the

air, at the urging of Robin Roberts and her desire to help other women who
were also putting it off.

And this morning, Ms. Robach let the audience in on her the results.
The results: She has breast cancer.
We wish Ms. Robach, Andrew Shue and their kids the best and hopes she
comes through it better and healthier.

And if you're a woman or have a special woman in your life,  and you want to help
her prevent this disease, there are some things you can do.
Things like make food choices that'll help your mammograms turn up negative
yr. after yr.

The foods that'll do it are...
a) Green tea or white tea.

Both teas contain compounds that surrounds breast cancer cells,
and suffocates them. And with that suffocation, they shut off up to

65% of their (the cancer cells) blood supply.
Drink 2 cups daily.
b) Eat More-

Fish. It doesn't have to be expensive salmon or sea bass, but fish
rich in omega-3's, like tuna, sardines or herring.
Fish forces abnormal cells to die before they can divide and spread.
And if you're concerned about mercury in fish, head to Trader Joe's
and look for canned fish that have low mercury counts listed on the

label. Or add more cilantro to your diet, it's an herb that helps clear
metals out of your body. Add it to salads, fish dishes or put some in
a mug, add hot water and drink it as a tea.
c) Head to Mexico-
Not really, but eat the food that's as popular in Mexico as burgers are in
the U.S. The food: Black beans.
A black bean filled taco or a salad with black beans will lower your
risk by 25%. Black beans help protect your breasts from the
air pollution, the air freshners and other pesticides you're exposed to on
a daily basis. Create a double duty breast cancer fighter, add cilantro to

your black beans.
That's it- this is only 3 foods, but if you want a list of about 30 more foods,
head to Amazon.com/the kindle store. The E-document-
The Superfoods That'll Prevent Breast Cancer!
It was put together by the same people who bring you
Red Carpet Rxs and SupermarketRxs@typepad.com.

And one last thing, please say a prayer for Amy Robach and
her husband- Andrew Shue, they'll need it.

Good Luck!

Good Morning America's Rx For Better Health!

                              Boost Health Through Prayer!

Good Morning America's popular host Robin Roberts is back on the air.
If you're wondering about she was able to bounce back after a serious
illness we're not totally sure.

One thing we're sure about is that prayer was one of the things she
used to help herself get back to work.
Prayer? That's right- saying a prayer or attending church on a regular basis
can help with all kinds of ailments, like...anxiety, weight loss, sleeplessness
or all-around bad health.

So, if you're a believer like Robin Roberts and want a prayer to use
to help you with some illness or ailment that may be affecting you,

here's the prayer:
                "God's Love!"
* The Light Of God Surrounds Me.
* The Love Of God Enfolds Me.
* The Power Of God Protects Me.
* The Presence Of God Watches Over Me.
And wherever I am, God is.

There you have it- a simple prayer, say it a few times when you
wake up and then again-a few times before turning in.

Good Luck!
