The Morning Show's Rx Food Rx For Living Longer!

A Recipe For a Longer Life!

If you're a regular viewer of the "Today show" then you're well aware
that they did a whole week on living longer and one of the segments
involved Iceland.

Iceland, and other Scandinavian countries now boast the second longest
life span in the World, and who is first, you ask?

The Japanese, more specifically- Okinawa Japan.
And if you're wondering how does one live long like the Okinawans
or Icelanders, or the Cretes from Greece?

Well, you can attend some type of religious service, or you can
work past 65, or you can do some form of activity--dance, work in
a garden, socialize more, or diet.

Diet?
No- not a diet of 1,000 or 1,200 calories, but a diet of more vegetables, low-sugar fruits,

(green apples and berries)
good fats, ( grass-fed butter, avocados, olive, coconut or walnut oil) seeds and grains,

(flaxseeds, almonds, pistachios, and sunflower seeds) brown rice and oatmeal, coffee,
tea, red wine, good quality meats, and fish.

And to get you started- here's a recipe that will not only help  you look younger,
it will also help you feel younger for yrs. to come.
The recipe: Fish  with Zesty Salsa.
It's a combination of good fats, (which fight inflammation)
fruits and vegetables--(which nourish your skin and keep your heart strong)

Ingredients:
1 large avocado
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 red onion

1/2 red grapefruit, peeled, segmented and diced
1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
salt and pepper
4 salmon fillets, (4 to 6 oz. each)
1 Tbs. olive or walnut oil
4 cups mixed salad greens
1 lemon, cut into wedges

====================================
Directions:
In a bowl, toss avocado with lemon juice.
Add the onion, jalapeno, salt and pepper, toss. Reserve.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the salmon, and place them in a skillet

with olive oil. Cook until lightly brown on both sides (about 2 to 3 mins.
each side or until they flake easily)
Take out 4 plates.
Place 1 cup of greens on a plate along with a salmon fillet,
and top with the avocado mixture.
Do this 3 more times.

Enough for 4 servings.
Not a fan of salmon? Try mahimahi fillets.

And lastly, if you want some more great info on ways to live longer

like the people of Denmark, China, Japan, Jamaica, Greece,
Spain, France and Italy, head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store,
and type The Asian, French, Greek and Italian Rxs For
Super Longevity in the search bar.
Download the Ebook,  and you may get another decade (or two) out of life.

Good Luck!

Rap Mogul's Rx For Looking Younger!

                  Look Younger With Moisturizer!

We always seem to hear about the negatives when it comes to rap music
and the people that make it .
But what about some of the good things that they do?
Well, you're in luck, here's something that'll not only  make you feel good,
it'll also make  you look good.

What is it?
According to recent reports, there's one rap mogul who won't
let anything or anyone stand in his way of getting his beauty regimen on.
And when we say anyone or anything, we mean it.
It's rumored that this gentleman will leave an event or party at
3, 4, or 5 a.m. and  then head home, wash his face and apply moisturizer.
So, can you guess the rap mogul who cleans up better than a supermodel?
Can't guess?
Try P. Diddy!

That's right, and some insiders are saying that Diddy may have rocker Steven
Tyler beat when it comes to cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing
their skin.
So, in closing, remember to exfoliate like Christie Brinkley and moisturize
like P. Diddy if looking 5, 8 or 10 yrs. younger is your goal.

Good Luck!

Celebrity Chef's Rx To Look Years Younger!

Eat This To Look Yrs. Younger!

According to new research,  people with darker skin may have genes that protect their

skin from aging.
This isn't new research, have you ever heard the phrase "black don't crack?"
Well, it's a phrase that's been around for 30 yrs. and the almost 60 yr. old
Whoopi Goldberg always uses it on "The View."

And if you weren't born with dark skin like the Indians, Brazilians,
Portuguese, Pacific Islanders, South Americans, Italians or Africans
there's something you can do to change that.
What is that?
Eat a food that's mentioned and used on the Rachael Ray show quite frequently.

What food is it?
It's pine nuts.

That's right, the Italian chef (who's a few yrs. from turning 50) uses
the little known nuts to make pesto.
You know, the sauce which originated in Italy, that's made with pine nuts,
basil, olive oil and garlic and then served over spaghetti or a salad.
And if aging is something you want to postpone or even try to beat, then start eating

pine nuts.
Why these types of nuts?
The nuts contain age-proofing antioxidants that help fight inflammation that
shows on up your skin.

And there's more, if you do plan on using pine nuts for a pesto, use cilantro and

parsley as well as basil.
Parsley purifies your blood, which helps you look and feel younger and
cilantro- it removes toxins and heavy metals from your bloodstream, also

helping you look yrs. younger.
Another plus: a Tbs. or two of pine nuts before a meal
also helps you eat less food throughout the day. Also beneficial for looking younger.

And lastly, if you want to really stave off the aging process, go back and look
at some of our past articles on pumpkin (Uma Thurman's Rx For Looking Younger)
and other orange foods. (Butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, acorn squash,
apricots, etc).
Orange foods give all women (and men) a fighting chance when it comes to looking yrs.
younger.

Oprah's Spa Rx To Look Younger!

Look Younger With A Spa Treatment!

Oprah, like Christie Brinkley and Howard Stern turned
60 this past week.
And Oprah said that she was going to have a party to
end all parties and then, she changes her mind.

Oprah may not be having a big 60th blowout, but she'll
probably continue to indulge in one of her favorite
activities, what is it?
Heading to a Spa.
That's right, when you have Billions in the bank, getting
spa treatments is one of the greatest joys in life.

But what about the rest of us, who are financially challenged?
You can be like Oprah, and do your own version
of an at-home spa treatment.
An at-home spa treatment?
Yes, and get this, this spa treatment may turn back the clock.

That's right- A hot cocoa facial.
Hot cocoa is loaded with antioxidants called flavonols,

and flavonols, can slough off dead skin cells and moisturize
the skin as well, and if you're concerned about dry, flaky
skin this Winter, this is the facial for you.

The Ingredients:
2 tbsp. of cocoa (real cocoa)
2 tbsp. of yogurt )plain)
1 tbsp. of honey
Directions:
Mix all 3 ingredients together and apply to a clean,

dry face and neck. Lie back in a comfortable chair
for 15 to 20 mins.
After the 20 mins. are up, head to the bathroom and rinse

off with warm water and pat your face dry.
Do this once or twice a week.
Or skip the mixing, and look for a product called Montagne
Jeunesse Chocolate Mud Masque, price $3.00, online at

Ulta.com.

That's it- the at-home spa treatment for those who are
challenged...financially. And one more tip- cocoa can be
worn, but make sure to drink some as well, you'll be
doing double-duty to help turn back the clock.

Good Luck!
