T. V. Show's Rx For Healthier Sweet Treats!

                                Eat Sweet Treats Like Ellen!

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres lets any and everyone know
she's a vegan.
In fact, Ms. DeGeneres invites on chefs just to cook vegan meals,
and if you're thinking about becoming a vegan or you're already a vegan,
then you must check out this site.
The Site: Onegreenplanet.org.

It's filled with stories about the vegan lifestyle, you know--the best makeup brands--that don't

use animals in the testing process, how to help your 4-legged friends in Earthquake ravaged
Nepal or how to roast vegetables to quell a meat craving.
But the best part of this site: The recipes.
We're not talking about tasteless salads and cookies that are often associated
with veganism, NO- we're talking cauliflower crust pizza, roasted potatoes with

turmeric, caramel truffles, gluten-free sorbet, chickpea flatbread and vegan tacos
that have quickly become the favorite food of the "new joker" Jared Leto.

So, if you're ready to become a fully committed vegan like Ellen and Jared
or you just want some healthier and low-calorie options for some of your

favorite comfort foods, head online to Onegreenplanet.org and check things out.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Rx For Recycling!

Wait, Don't Throw Out Those Plastic Bottles!

A number of Hollywood stars are very serious about recycling.

And even though they can afford to throw things out and just keep buying
new stuff, they choose not to.

If you're the same way, and hate to throw anything out, especially plastic
water bottles, reuse them and put them to good use.
Not sure how? Continue reading for some tips...
a) Exercise Equipment-
Who has the money for trainers and all of that expensive equipment?

We (regular folks) don't and that's why filling empty plastic bottles will have to
do. Filled with sand, each bottle weighs about 2.5 pounds which is perfect for
building lean muscles.

b) Kill The Fruit Flies--
Now that the warm weather is back, that also means fruit flies in
a number of households and if you're a victim of the microscopic pests,

use a few plastic bottles to get rid of them.
How? Pour a little dish detergent into a bottle or two, a tsp. of apple cider
vinegar and place some plastic wrap on top. Secure the wrap with a rubber
band, poke a few holes in the top and place in discreet spots in your kitchen.
The flies are attracted to the scent of apple cider vinegar, fly in and can't
get out.
c) Soothe Those Feet-
After a long day at work a foot massage would be nice, only problem--
no one around to do it. That's okay, fill a plastic bottle with cold water,
head outdoors and rub your feet over the bottle.
Do this for a few minutes, and to make it more pleasurable, place the
bottle in the freezer for 20 to 30 mins.

That's it and if you're interested in more tips like these, head to Amazon.com/
the kindle store.. see title to the right, and type the title into the search bar.
Download it and learn how toothpaste, dental floss, coca cola,

salt, sugar, apple cider vinegar and olive oil can be used in a multitude of ways to benefit your health and well-being.

Good Luck!

Comedian's Rx For Pizza Lovers!

                             Comedy Central and Pizza Burn!

Daniel Tosh, host of the "The Daniel Tosh show" recently dispensed a tip
that could help all pizza lovers.
The Tip:
If you dig into pizza without letting it cool down, you could burn the roof the mouth.
And to relieve the pain, Mr. Tosh says--take a 1/2 tsp. of sugar and put it on your tongue.
And then, hold your tongue against the roof of your mouth for a few seconds.

How does this work?
The melting crystals stimulate the brain to release endorphins, (feel good chemicals)
that can alleviate pain and induce a feeling of well-being.
This also works if you burn your tongue.

other than what it's intended for, you're in luck.

A Movie Stars' Wife's Rx For Damaged Hair!

                                Save That Damaged Hair!

If you're a real fan of movie star Matthew McConaughey, then you know that he
married a woman from Brazil and according to some, this is the country that produces
the "most beautiful women in the World".

Hey, some people from Sweden, Italy, Greece, Spain and Australia may disagree,
but it's only the opinion of a certain few.
Well, with that said, you may want to know how they (the women) maintain
their stunning good looks on paltry budgets.
Their secrets:

Food.
Yes, they eat it,, but they also wear and use it, as in masques, scrubs, and hair conditioners
and one of the foods they use is brown sugar.
More specifically brown sugar to nourish their hair.
And if your hair has taken a beating this Winter and you want to undo some
of the damage, mix 1/2 cup of brown sugar (coarse) with 1/4 cup of ripe avocado,
mash it well, and vitamin E. Get some from your local drugstore.
Break open a capsule or two and add it to the avocado and sugar, and mix well.
Head to the shower, step in and pour some water on your hair, (just enough to

dampen it) then start applying the sugar, avocado and vitamin E to your hair,
massage it into your scalp using slow, circular motions, take a seat (on the edge
of the tub) Leave on for a few minutes and then turn on the water and rinse the
the 3 ingredient hair conditioner out. After that, you can shampoo and condition your

hair as you normally would.

That's it, and if you want more tips like how the Brazilian women nourish dry hair
and refresh oily hair, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type

Hit Show's Rx For Better Moods!

Dance, Dance and Dance Some More!

In about 3 weeks another winner will be crowned on the hit show--"Dancing

With The Stars" and then, you'll have to wait for September to watch the new season again.
But for those who not only enjoy watching it, but also enjoy doing some of the moves,
continue doing so for your brain's sake.

Brain's sake, what?

According to research that's been out there for a few years now, dancing (any type of

dancing) will quickly brighten your moods.
How so?
Dancing gets blood pumping to your brain, revving alertness and increasing happiness
by triggering the production of of feel-good endorphins, while your favorite music raises
mood-elevating dopamine in your brain.

And something more impressive:
Dancing may work better than running, weightlifting and pilates at boosting moods.
With those exercises, you may have to drive somewhere, wait for equipment
or get into the mood (running) by warming up and stretching, but with dancing,
you just need a room, a park, or a stairwell and some music.

So, next time you need a mood booster or you're feeling down,
get up and boogie.

Good Luck!

The Baywatch Rx For Great Legs!

                      Get Your Legs Summer Ready!

If you were around about 20 yrs. ago then you may remember that
one of the biggest shows on television was-"Baywatch!"
You know the show, with David Hasselhoff as the head lifeguard
and his team of attractive lifeguards... Pamela Anderson, Alexandra
Paul, Gena Lee Nolin, Yasmine Bleeth, Carmen Electra, Traci Bingham,
Nicole Eggert and Brooke Burns. (The Baywatch Babes)

And you may also remember the women were flawless, from head to toe.
Yes, age certainly had something to do with, but the women also knew
they had to watch what they ate and drank.
Well, now that another Summer is almost here and you're still not
bathing suit ready, (never mind bikini-ready) you may want to

use the following tip to get your legs ready for the Summer.

The Tip:
Erase Those Spider Veins.
A problem a lot of women (and some men) have and it's also one of the
biggest reasons many women won't get into any kind of bathing suit.
Blame it on desk jobs, (sitting too long) pregnancy, genetics and
diet. And although there's no cause to be concerned about them, *health-wise)
they do make wearing certain pieces of clothing very difficult.
And if this is you and you want to do something about it, try the following...
A plant extract. More specifically, try Pycnogenol, derived from the French Maritime
pine tree, it acts a powerful, restorative antioxidant. The extract works inside and out,
giving veins a 1-2 punch to help erase those unsightly veins.
Look for both the topical cream and the supplement.
Look for derma e Clear Vein Creme, online at dermae.com
the supplement--NOW Foods Pycnogenol, 30 mg. online at iHerbs.com.
60 capsules.
Important tip: Always talk to your Dr. before taking any new supplement.

And some additional tips:
Eat more Summer fruits, like berries. Blue. black, rasp and cherries.
Summer fruit strengthen venous walls to stop blood from pooling.
Eat more greens- something you may already know thanks to Dr. Oz,
dark greens provide you with vitamin K, an important nutrient,
many women and (men) aren't getting enough of.
Eat the peels. Citrus peels. Clean and grate the peels of
oranges, tangerines, limes, lemons and clementines and
put them into salads, fruit salads, compotes, parfaits,
and veggie stir-fries.
Eat Healthy, this is a no-brainer, but too many white carbs,
sweets, junk food and processed foods decrease circulation and
cause all types of problems, especially to your legs.
Get some E. As in vitamin E, another vitamin important to leg health.
Not too much E.

That's it, start now and hopefully by the end of May or the beginning of June,
you should see a difference.
And if you  want more tips on how to get your body "Summer-ready"
head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type Bikinis and Sandals
in the search box. In addition to more remedies to get rid of spider veins,
you'll also learn natural methods to get rid of cellulite, body bumps,
Bacne, crepey skin, nail fungus, chicken skin, and dry and crusty heels.

Good Luck!
