Hollywood's Rx For Keeping Your Resolutions!

                           Keep Your Weight Loss Resolutions!

Was weight loss a resolution you had for the new yr?
If it was and you're failing at it here are some tips
from some top celebrity trainers to help you stay on course.

The tips:
a) Skip the Soda-
Diet soda to be exact. Yea, you think it helps, it doesn't,

it (the soda) only creates more cravings.
Blame it on the artificial sweeteners used to make the soda.

b) Indulge-
On weekends. Stick to a low-fat or vegan or hi-protein
diet during the week and on the weekend--have a slice of cake
or a few slices of pizza.
Important tip: Some pizza or a slice of cake is okay and may help you

stick to the diet, but don't go overboard. Doing so, might result in weight gain
and a sick, overstuffed feeling come Monday.
c) Keep The Fruit Out-

As in on the kitchen table or the dining room table.
Leaving fruit out where you can see it, reminds you that you have to eat things
that are good for you.
d) Go Small or ---
As in plates and utensils. You may remember the smaller plates phenomenon
about 10 yrs. ago. Well today, pairing  those smaller dishes with smaller forks

and spoons will really help you lose weight.
Or use chopsticks.
e) Soups' On-
Have some soup 30 to 60 mins. before you eat your main meal and really watch the
pounds disappear. Make it broth-based soup, (not meat and noodle types of soup).
Or have a glass (or 2) of water or an apple,  (a green apple).

That's it- 5 tips from some celebrity trainers to help you stay
on your diet this new year.

And lastly, if you want more great tips to help you stay on course

4 Stars Rxs For Living Till 90!

                             Live Long and Prosper!

Reaching old age only happened to a select few years ago, but not anymore.

Today, it seems the norm.
And even in Hollywood, it's becoming quite normal,  how normal?
Four stars are 90 or over 90 and many more are fast approaching it (90).
And the 4 stars who are or over 90 are...
Cloris Leachman

Dick Van Dyke
Cecily Tyson
           +
Betty White

And if you want to make it to 90 like one of these stars, then you may want to copy
their secrets.

First up, Ms. White-
Those who know Ms. White say that she eats whatever she wants, but in small
amounts. In fact, her costars on the hit show "Hot in Cleveland" said Ms.
White's diet resembles that of a young teenager, hot dogs, chips,
a can of soda and a fruit pie. ( no veggie or tofu  burgers--Thank-You)
And her other secret: she avoids negativity, as in gossip about celebrities
or negative news, (concerning crime, the bad economy, terror threats, etc)

Next up is Cecily Tyson,
At 91, Ms. Tyson is 2 yrs. younger than Ms. White, and her secret:
she changed her diet to one of fruits and vegetables long before it was
fashionable. Like Ms. Leachman, Ms. Tyson eats only from the plant kingdom.

Now, on to Ms. Leachman,
She too, became a strict vegetarian like Ms. Tyson, starting at age 40 something,

but not just a vegetarian, a raw food enthusiast.
That's right, nothing cooked, no bell peppers stuffed with rice, or veggie stir-fries.
And something even more impressive, one of the dishes Ms. Leachman makes
may also help you make it to age 90 or more.
What dish is that?
Coleslaw.
That's right, raw cabbage served with spices and herbs, vegan cheese and
a vinaigrette.  Ms. Leachman started eating this dish back about 30 yrs. ago
and now her 40 and 50 yr. old kids make it (for themselves and their kids)
And if you're looking for that one food that can be called "a fountain of youth food"

cabbage may fit the bill.
A top nutritionist says that people who eat the most cabbage, (or foods that are in
the cabbage family--Broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and kale) may
live a decade (or two) longer than their cabbage-hating friends and family.

And lastly,  for less than $2 a head, it (cabbage) will save you a ton of money
you may spend on special shakes, juices, vitamins, and other therapies.
Also important: eat more red cabbage, as it will protect your brain from
the ravages of aging, (Alzheimer's and dementia).

And last but not least, Dick Van Dyke.
Mr. Van Dyke is certainly a rarity when it comes to living a long life,
how so?

He admits to almost killing himself with tobacco and booze, bad habits that
lasted for decades.
But today, he's a beacon of energy and longevity at age 90.
His secrets: Movement.
You may (or may not) remember, but Mr. Van Dyke is an incredible

dancer and he thinks all of that movement (from the past) and something
he continues to this day- has helped him live to 90.
And his other secret: Love. He's says finding love with someone who's kind
and considerate at 80 something,  is another reason why he's made it to age 90.

So, if you hope to make it 80, 90 or even longer, follow one or more of the secrets
that have helped some of Hollywood's brightest stars achieve this incredible
milestone.

Good Luck!

A Young Star's Rx For Living Longer!

One Easy Secret For Living A Long Life!

Is there anyone out there interested in living till 100?
If you answered yes, how do you plan on doing it?
With a strict vegetarian diet? Hours of exercise each day?
Or do you come from stock (parents or grandparents) that lived
into their 90's or beyond?

Well, if a strict diet and exercise program doesn't appeal
to you, you may want to try the secret that one of Hollywood's top stars
is using.
The secret: Volunteering

And the star: Jennifer Lawrence.

You may have read, seen or heard that Ms. Lawrence spent Christmas Eve
in her hometown of Louisville Ky. visiting with sick children.
A lot of stars who work constantly much prefer to spend their off time
at a swanky spa or skiing in Telluride or Aspen Co.
But not Ms. Lawrence, and if she keeps it up (volunteering) it may help her
reach 80, 90 or even 100 more easily.
How you ask?
Volunteering just 2 hrs.a wk. at an animal shelter or veteran's hospital
may be more beneficial for you than it is for the people (or animals) you tend to.

How so?
It (volunteering) helps you keep aches and pain at bay.
(you don't focus on your achy knees or bad back)
it lowers blood pressure (meaning less risk of heart attack and stroke)
it boosts mood levels (no depression or blue moods)
and it may even help keep you at a healthy weight, (especially if you
walk and play with animals).

But wait, there's more...
Volunteering also boosts intelligence and your compassion for others.
And new research says that problem children (especially boys)
may be able to turn their lives and moods around with volunteering and
not medications and/or stays in detention centers.

So, if you're one who wants to make it to 90 or more yrs. of age,
and veganism and cross-fit aren't options you want to employ, then
get out there and volunteer.
It's working for J Law.

And one last tip...if you're really serious about living till 100,
head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type The 101 Best Ways To
Make It To 100 in the search bar. Download it and get started on living forever.
And make sure to read the chapter on how stars like Clint Eastwood, Cameron Diaz,
Tom Selleck and Cloris Leachman are eating and exercising their way to long
and prosperous lives.

Good Luck!
