Superfood Rx To Keep You Safe This Summer!

                         Eat This To Prevent Food Poisoning! 

You may have heard the bad news: actor Charlie Sheen said he experienced a very serious
bout of food poisoning.
And since this is the season for cookouts and barbecues, you may want to know how
to protect yourself from becoming a food poisoning victim.

Of course you should keep foods cold that need to be cold, and if you cook chicken,
hot dogs or sausage on the grill, you must prepare and cook these foods the right way.

First up, use the "new superstar superfood" to keep you and your loved ones
safe. 

The "Superfood:" 
Cauliflower.
Yes, the very food that's becoming the darling for those that are going "gluten-free"
can also keep you from becoming the next Charlie Sheen. 

How? 
When you leave out foods (that require refrigeration) for too long, illness-causing
bacteria can grow...quickly. And to avoid becoming ill from this fast-growing bacteria, 

eat cauliflower.
The good-for you white food is full of antimicrobials, that kill several causes of of foodborne
illnesses, like E coli and salmonella.
So, if you do have potato salad or deviled eggs or even sushi, have a salad with greens, 

olive oil, apple cider vinegar and some small pieces of cauliflower.
Or add some to a sandwich or to your potato salad. (half potato-half cauliflower).

Now, onto chicken, burgers or kielbasa.
Before cooking these types of meat, add the food that's been helping people stay hale 

and hearty for centuries.
The food: Garlic.
Yes, whole cloves or garlic powder (not garlic salt) kills the bacteria that's common
in meats. And something even better: Garlic is safer and cheaper than the often-prescribed
antibiotics.
To use this all-natural antibiotic--sprinkle some garlic powder on your chicken legs 

or thighs, bratwurst or hamburger before cooking them. 
Or you can get creative and place a few cloves of garlic in a blender, (or juicer)
along with some olive oil, parsley or basil, salt and pepper.
Blend well, and pour over your chicken, leave it on for 30 to 60 minutes and 

then grill, bake or broil. 
And lastly, if you're concerned about "garlic breath" just chew on some 
parsley leaves or fennel seeds for a minute or two. (make sure to spit them 
out)

water them, she left out one important tip, what tip was that? 
The benefits each herb could impart to us, (the viewing audience). 

Well, don't despair, that's why we're here, to educate you just like Ms. Stewart.
So, to get started, lets start with the herbs Ms. Stewart recommended for your
own home garden, first up....

* Mint- 
Popular in the Middle East, mint can put an end to stomach cramps and gas. 
Use it to make tea or add to a salad, fruit or vegetable.
Or pair it with eggplant, tomatoes, couscous or green peas.
And if you like peppermint and spearmint grow some of that as well. 

Peppermint can alleviate the headaches that occur when you're dieting.
And spearmint- can help get rid of facial hair. Yes, spearmint lowers the testosterone in 

your system that causes excess facial hair. Drink a cup or two a day until you see
the results you want and then stop. Women still need the hormone testosterone. 

* Oregano-
Don't you love the taste of oregano on your plate of spaghetti or pizza pie? 

So, do we. And if you want a food that has more nutrients than a bowl of spinach,
an ounce of dark Choc. or a bowl of blueberries, look no further than oregano.
And if menstrual cramp pain is too unbearable, add oregano to your tomato sauce,
fish or summer squash. Oregano also helps you develop a top-notch immune system.
* Parsley- 

Who wants to live till 100? Well, if you answered " I do" then you need to add more parsley
to your menus. One Dr. in Miami discovered that parsley is one of the best (and inexpensive)

Add parsley to grains, salads, seafood and tomato dishes.

Milk.

That's right, and although milk (especially whole milk) may be

Celebrity Chef's Rx To Look Years Younger!

                               Eat This To Look Yrs. Younger! 

According to new research,  people with darker skin may have genes that protect their 

skin from aging.
This isn't new research, have you ever heard the phrase "black don't crack?"
Well, it's a phrase that's been around for 30 yrs. and the almost 60 yr. old
Whoopi Goldberg always uses it on "The View."

And if you weren't born with dark skin like the Indians, Brazilians,
Portuguese, Pacific Islanders, South Americans, Italians or Africans
there's something you can do to change that.
What is that?

It's All In The Lips- Read My Lips!

why you're so quiet and what are you thinking?
d) Wide Lips-
Think of Anne Hathaway.
Although people don't think of Ms. Hathaway as someone who can help
when you need a shoulder to cry on, the wide lips say otherwise.
They're also affectionate and concerned about the well being
of loved ones and people who aren't even related to them (homeless,
elderly, disadvantaged, etc.)
So, let's stop hating on Ms. Hathaway and allow her to use her talents (and lips) 

to help those of us who need it.
e) Heart-Shaped-
Think of Taylor Swift.
And if your lips are heart-shaped, then you're romantic (Calvin Harris, Harry Styles, 

Jake Gylllenhall, John Mayer, and on and on) sweet, sentimental and artistic.
You're also Idealistic and full of hope.
