Hollywood's Rx For A Safe Tan!

                               Get A Tan Naturally!

Are you still using tanning beds?
Well, new research says they may be even more dangerous
than the Sun.

Sitting outside for 10 to 15 minutes (without sunscreen) can
benefit your health in a number of ways, but overdo it and you risk
getting skin cancer.

And as we mentioned earlier, tanning are more dangerous
and increase your odds of getting skin cancer by 45%.
So, do you stay inside and look pale and sickly?

No, you use the safe alternatives to get that "sun-kissed"
look, the alternatives...
a) Lotion-

Tanning lotions to be exact. Look for the one put out by
Jergens Natural Glow.
b) Bronzing Powders and Creams-
Use them like you would blush. Try Maybelline Express
3 N' 1 Cream stick.
c) Airbrushing-
Go to someone who's skilled at doing this, don't ask a friend

or family to do this.
d) Tinted Moisturizers-
These are perfect when you want a healthy glow without looking tan.

That's it, Enjoy the Summer!

Good Luck!

DWTS' Rx To A Great Tan!

                         Suntanning Season Is Here!

If you're a fan of "Dancing With The Stars" like we are,

then you know all about James, Candice, Danica, Charlie,
Meryl, NeNe and Drew.

But are you aware that a lot of stars have to get tans?

That's right, they don't have time to tan due to the amount of
training they have to put in each day.
So, they have members of DWTS staff apply self tanning applications.
And if you're short of time and also use self tanners, then make sure
you avoid the problems that come with self tanners.
The problems: Streaks, uneven color and stains (especially on your hands)

If this is you and you don't have a team of stylists to apply self tanners,
do the following...
Use self tanning butter sponges. One to try: Bronze Butter,
find it online at BronzeButter.com. Simply wet the sponge, then gently
buff your skin to eliminate streaks, remove tanner from your palms
and lighten too-dark color.

Another tip:  Used dry sponges to easily remove deodorant stains
from clothing.

That's it- We can't guarantee you'll look like Maksim or Val,

but you'll certainly look a whole lot better with an evenly, stain and
streak-free tan.

Good Luck!

Snooki's Rx For A Gluten-Free Dessert!

                               Eat Dessert Like Snooki

Nicole Polizzi, aka Snooki, just revealed her secret for losing
40 lbs. of post baby weight, her secrets: She lost some breastfeeding,
and the rest by following the hot new diet... The Gluten-free diet.
That's right, Ms. Polizzi, has ditched white bread, pasta, rice and all the
other foods that contain gluten.
Snooki also gave up dairy and hired a trainer.
If you're thinking of going gluten-free, remember to research it thoroughly
and look for recipes that are nutritious and are good tasting.
One such example: The following dessert loaf, was discovered by a member of
our research
team and its quickly become a favorite.
The cake is a banana-chocolate nut loaf and it's totally gluten-free.

The Ingredients:
2  cups of almond flour
3/4 cup xylitol
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/4 cup garbanzo-bean flour

2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

1/3 cup coconut oil (melted)
3 ripe bananas (mashed)
3 large eggs (separated)
3/4 cup chopped chocolate dark choc. divided
Important tip: Garbanzo bean flour and xylitol may not be
available at your local supermarket, so go online and search or
head to your local health-food store.

The Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine first 7 ingredients and 1.4 tsp salt.
Stir in coconut oil, bananas, egg yolks, and 1/2 cup

of chocolate.

Next, Using a mixer, beat egg whites for 2 mins. or until stiff peaks
form, and then gently fold into the batter.

And finish up by pouring the batter into a lined 9 inch x 5 inch pan
lightly coated with cooking spray. Bake at for about 40 to 45 mins.
(stick a knife in the center, to test if it's done)
Remove from the oven, let cool for 10 mins, and then remove it
from the pan. Melt the remaining chocolate in the microwave,
and then drizzle it over the loaf and garnish with the walnuts.

That's it- a scrumptious and totally gluten-free dessert.
And remember- gluten-free doesn't mean calorie-free,
you still have to practice moderation.

Good Luck!

The Jersey Shore's Rx For Preventing Alzheimer's!

Snooki's Rx For Preserving Our Brain!

It's no secret--Snooki loves to tan! Not like the Overtanning Mom, but
she's close.
Well, it turn's out Snooki may actually be smarter than we think.
Why? Getting out in the Sun, (not a tanning bed) for 15 to
20 mins. a day, helps you prevent one of the most feared old age
diseases around. The disease: Alzheimer's!

That's right- Sitting outside for 15 to 20 mins. (without sunscreen)
helps your body make essential vitamin D, a nutrient many older
folks don't get enough of as they get older.

So, if you were one of the millions, who criticized Snooki, for her
lack of smarts, hopefully this post may help you change your mind.
Thanks Snooki!

Good Luck!

Snooki's Rx To Prevent Sunburns!

                        Don't Overtan Like Snooki!

Have you seen the "Over Tan" Mom Patricia Krentcil?
Well, if you haven't-go to google and type in Tanning Mom in
the search bar.
But her appearance isn't the only laughable part of this story,
another funny part- Snooki of Jersey Shore has weighed in
with her opinion.

Snooki, if you're not too familiar with, expresses her love of tanning
and tanning beds on a regular basis, whether it's on her own show
or on a talk show, Snooki loves to tan.

If you're like Snooki or the "Tanning Mom" then you must know
by now, to be careful and use common sense when tanning.
And if you do plan on continuing to tan, then do so with help
from the color chart.

The color chart?
Yes, according to research, if you buy an umbrella to sit under or
a big Sun hat, make sure to choose the color red, blue or violet.

Why? According to these same researchers- these 3 colors filter
the most UV Sun rays. And filtering those harmful rays protect you
and family members from a host of health problems.

So, if you're going to keep on Tanning, do so with some violet, blue
or red hats, beach shorts, tank tops, Sun hats and umbrellas.
And if you're wondering on the worst colors that won't protect you-
they're white and yellow.

And one more tip- you can also buy a laundry detergent that'll help
protect you from the Sun's harmful rays, find it online at
SunGuardSunProtection.com, the detergent is called RIT
SunGuard, price -$2.OO.

Good Luck and Good Tanning!
