The Baby Beverage Rx For Hangovers!

                                  Drink This To End Hangovers!

The Labor Day weekend is here and for many people that
means a drink or two or even more.
If you're in the "even more" category you may end up with
a hangover. And the way to fix the dry mouth, the queasy stomach
and the splitting headache are the run of the mill-like a glass of water
to the extreme-like a bloody Mary.

If you want to avoid the water or the blood Mary, why not try
the drink that's a sure cure for kids who suffer from dehydration.

What drink is that?
Pedialyte.

That's right- a man suffering from a terrible hangover, tried the
bottle of Pedialyte that was left over in his kids' closet, and to his
surprise-it worked.
He's been recommending this tip to anyone who'll listen, and
he also says the Pedialyte frozen pops work even better.

So, if you overdo the alcohol this weekend--make sure to have
some Pedialyte (in liquid or frozen pops) on hand and trick your

body into thinking you only had water or lemonade the whole time.
Important tip: Find Pedialyte at Supermarkets or drug stores.

That's it- Enjoy your Labor Day!

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Rx For Delivering Babies!

Avoiding Drugs During The Birthing Process!

Hollywood's baby boom continues, the latest:  The singer Fergie.
She just gave birth to a baby boy.
This info may be to late for Fergie, but if you're pregnant and
almost due or even if you're planning on getting pregnant in the
future, this info is something you may want to hold onto.

The info is about Epidurals, you know the drug they give you
for an easier and (hopefully) pain-free birth.
Well, for those opposed to any type of drug, there's a natural remedy
to that long, arduous and painful labor session, what is it?
A hot bath. (About 98 degrees).

Yes, we know, a woman with a huge belly getting into a bath?
But listen up, according to British researchers, getting into a bath
during the first stage of your labor lessens the pain enough and reduces
the chances that you'll even need the Epidural.
Plus, the bath makes it less likely that'll you need medication to speed
up the contractions.
Important tip: The magazine we took this info from--only mentioned
baths, it didn't say anything about hot tubs.
To be on the safe side...stick with baths!

That's it- and again, a very pregnant women in a bathtub may
seem out-of-the ordinary and risky , but talk to your Dr. Ob/Gyn
and your loved ones about it.

Good Luck!

The Chew's Rx For Beautiful Hair!

                Eat More Steak!

If you're a fan of the popular daytime show- "The Chew" you're not alone.

Due to the 5 hosts and their different personalities, this show is gaining new
fans everyday and if you watched the show today, you were treated to a feast.
What type of feast? A meat feast.

The whole show was all about steak. What type of steak to buy, how to
cook it, how to slice it, etc.
But there's one thing they forgot to tell you about steak, what is it?
Steak will give you the thicker, fuller hair you so desire.
That's right, beef is loaded with phosphorus, a mineral that increases
blood flow to the scalp, and helping hair follicles ability to absorb other
key nutrients like zinc and vitamin B6.

There you have it, some good news about steak.

And although steak and other types of meat aren't popular amongst
a lot of Hollywood types, they want to rethink their position after reading this
post.

And finally, if you do plan on adding more steak to your menu, make it
grass-fed beef, avoid the chemically and hormone laced cuts of meat.
Also important: watch the carbs that go with steak, you know-
the dinner rolls, the French bread and the bread sticks.
One actress who followed this one tip- was able to stop and reverse her thinning
locks.

So, if you haven't watched the T.V. show- "The Chew" do yourself a favor
and make it part of your daily routine, you may learn something and improve
your health as well.

Good Luck!

The Hollywood Moms Rx For Building Stronger Babies!

                            The Benefits of Breast Feeding!

To breastfeed or not to breastfeed, just talking about it can

cause serious arguments.
Do you remember "supermodel" Gisele Bunchen's comment on
"making all moms do it for at least 6 months."

That didn't go over too well, especially with Whoopi Goldberg from
"The View."

Well, if you're a new mom like Kim Kardashian or plan on becoming
one in the next few months or next yr. you may want to breastfeed,
why?
According to new research-it benefits both mom and newborns.
That's right- for newborns...
a) higher IQs
b) fewer ear infections
c) stronger bones
d) less prone to get allergies
e) less likely to be overweight as an adult
benefits for moms...
a) less likely to suffer postpartum
b) lose the baby weight more quickly- (see Kate Middleton)
c) and lower rates of diabetes and certain cancers-especially
cancers of the breasts and ovaries.

So ladies, if you weren't too keen on breastfeeding,
perhaps this info will help.

The Latest Rx For Youthful Hands!

Stop The Aging Process On My Hands!

Some Hollywood stars love to flaunt how young and vibrant they still feel.
That may be true if you look at their faces or bodies, but get a shot of their
hands and the actual truth will be revealed.

What kind of truth?
The truth of their real ages. Hands- like elbows, the eyes and necks have thin skin

on them, therefore making them age much more rapidly than the skin on your cheeks,
(both sets of cheeks)  the back, and your legs, and that's why you must pay
special attention to those areas.

Recently, a new product came out and it'll help you reverse some of that aging
and the best part- it doesn't require you to dip into your bank account.
The Rx:
A hand cream, called Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Hand Treatment,
price $8.00. The product is fortified with vitamin C (which is necessary to
help new skin cells develop and fade those pesky age spots). Plus, it
has sunscreen, to help keep future age spots away.
Use this product for a few weeks, and you should see a noticeable difference
in your hands.

And if you want something natural,  (like rice water or buttermilk)
look for the natural solutions we've posted in the past.

TMZ's Rx For Beating Stress!

Beat Stress With Some Juicy Gossip!

Do you hate shows like TMZ, or Entertainment Tonight or
Access Hollywood?
Well, if you aren't fans because you think they promote negativity,

you're wrong.
According to new research watching, listening to stories about or even engaging
in gossip about Kim and Kanye, Brad and Angelina or Justin and Jennifer

can actually improve health. How?

Gossiping about Will an Kate can lower stress levels and reverse the increase
in heart rate that goes along with it.
Good-natured gossip about people you don't really know is sort of like
therapy, it can also help you develop closer friendships with people
you live and work with.

That's it- remember to gossip about celebrities, sports stars and politicians,

and leave friends and family out of here.
Also important- if you're not into celebrity gossip, call mom, a trusted
friend or a favorite aunt, a few minutes with them can help lower stress levels
as well.

The Two Guns Exercise Rx Just For Women!

                           Exercise For A Better Chest!

Have you seen the new flick- 2 Guns?
It stars Denzel Washington, Mark Walhberg and Mrs. Robin Thicke!
You may know Mrs. Thicke as Paula Patton and some are saying that
her nude scene is helping 2 Guns bring in a lot more customers.

Ms. Patton appeared on Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotbe and was asked
how is it that her breasts are still perky? After all, she's given birth
to a child and she's 3 yrs. from age 40.
Ms. Patton answered- she wears a bra that's a little smaller than what
she should be wearing.

If you want perkier breasts and don't want to go under the knife
or wear a "too small bra" try this exercise...
Sit in a chair, sit up straight, arms stretched in front of you, palms
together. Squeeze your shoulder blades together as you reach
your left arm up and your right arm down so they form a diagonal
line, Hold for 30 secs. then switch sides.
Do ten reps on each side and as the weeks increase try and get
up to 20 reps. This exercise works the pectoral muscles which are

located beneath the bust.
Push ups and lifting weights on a bench also work, but
why kill yourself, this is much easier.

That's it- just make sure to stick with it and you should see a
noticeable difference in about 3 to 4 wks.

Good Luck!

Honey Boo-Boo's Rx For Better Health!

                       Honey Boo-Boo's Favorite Food!

If you're a regular viewer of the hot reality show "Here Comes Honey
Boo-Boo, then you know what her favorite food is, it's Spaghetti.
Or as Honey Boo-Boo says "Sketti" and if it's your favorite as
well, make sure you cook it right and avoid a very serious health
problem. What problem is that?

High blood sugar which can lead to Diabetes.

You can avoid this health problem by cooking  your pasta al dente,
which means it should be a little firm and chewy.
Firm and chewy pasta has less of an impact on your blood sugar levels
and it's digested more slowly than overcooked pasta.

That's it- and one last tip...although cooking pasta this way
helps your blood sugar levels, pairing the pasta with white bread,
sugary drinks and sweets for dessert will only do damage to your
system, thus canceling out the al dente pasta.

So, use good judgement, mix your pasta with some steamed vegetables,
drink seltzer water ( add some lemon or lime) and a piece of
fruit along with some plain yogurt mixed a little honey for dessert.

Hopefully Mama June, Sugar Bear or Honey Boo-Boo will see this

post and change their ways.

Good Luck!

The Mayor's Rx For Women's Health!

                                Lower Risks of Breast Cancer!

Love him or hate him, Mayor Mike Bloomberg sure knows how to
get a charge out of people.
He's not being called a mayor anymore, but a dictator.
He asked store owners to hide cigarettes, so customers wouldn't see them
and therefore may not want to buy them.
And of course his most controversial position- ban all sugary drinks
that weigh in at 16 ozs.  or more.
The call for such a ban brought tons of criticism to the mayor
and it was undeserved.

Undeserved, why?

Too much soda or other sugary beverages raises a woman's risk of
breast cancer by 25%. Sugar is cancer's favorite food, especially breast cancer,

and drinking such beverages also raises levels of insulin-like growth factor,
a compound that fuels the growth of abnormal cells.

So, love him or hate, Mayor Mike is right about sugary drinks and your health,
he just went about it the wrong way.
In the future, drink more water or make your own beverages by juicing
fruits, either with a juicer or high-powered blender.
And if anyone out there is a fan of Honey Boo, Mama June or Sugar Bear,
please pass this info along to them.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Exercise Rx For Relieving Bloat!

Use Yoga To Get Relief After a Big Meal!

Oh no- you were at a family reunion or the annual fair or having a girl
night's out and you overdid it. Overdid what?
At the table, simply put-you overate.

And now, you feel as though your stomach is about to explode.
Don't panic, once you reach the comforts of your own home,
try this yoga move...

Sit on the floor, with your right leg extended in front of you.
Cross your left leg over your right, with your foot on the outside
of your right knee. With the palm on the ground to your left, twist
as far to the left as you can go, now hold for ten secs. making sure
to breathe normally. Repeat on the other side.
Important note: If it doesn't work after one twist to the left and then
the right, you may have to do it one or two more times.
This yoga move is called the "Spinal Twist" and it helps move food
through your digestive system while relaxing your entire abdominal area.

That's it- a simple exercise to help relieve that full, bloated heavy feeling.
And if you're not in good shape or have back problems, you may want
to avoid this exercise. Try drinking some hot water with a 1/2 tsp. of
cinnamon in it (sip slowly). This also helps relieve bloating.

And lastly, it's rumored that this pose may help those suffering from
infertility, try it for yourselves, it can't hurt and it's certainly a whole lot

cheaper than fertility treatments.

Jennifer Aniston's Rx For Silky Smooth Legs!

A Simple Solution For Silky Smooth Legs!

Jennifer Aniston is all over the news these past 2 weeks,
a new movie ("We're The Millers") hitting theaters and
for throwing boyfriend Justin Theroux a huge 42nd birthday
party.
And of course, people continue to marvel at how good Ms. Aniston
looks at age 44. She looks incredible everywhere, but one body part
looks especially good, what body part is that?
Her Legs.

That's right- at an age when a lot of women notice bumps, lumps
and discolored veins, Ms. Aniston's legs seem to be getting better.

How is that?
It could be the diet, or the exercise plan, (Tracy Anderson)
or it could be something from her home country.
Home country?
Yes, Ms. Aniston like Kelly Clarkson, Maria Menounos and
John Stamos is Greek and their use of olive oil helps  benefit
both the body and mind in a number of ways.

But to get silky smooth legs, one doesn't have to eat it, this
remedy calls for you to shave with it.

Shave with olive oil?
Yes, shaving with soap or shaving cream is Okay, but if you
want to moisturize and nourish your skin-then you must go with
olive oil.
That's it- and if you're concerned about the price, don't be,
you only need a small amount of oil and you can get it in the big
containers at  stores like B.J.'s or Costcos.
(Make sure you buy Extra-Virgin O.O.)

And lastly, make sure to eat some on a daily basis as well,

it'll do your heart, your joints and your skin some good.

Prince's Spicy Rx For Good Health!

                       Spice Up Your Life!

Have you heard... music star Prince has finally stepped into the 21st century
and joined Twitter.
One of his first posts was all about food, more specifically- a photo of the salad
he was about to consume, and what's so unusual about that?
He poured a good amount of black pepper on it and asked his fans-
"Is that too much pepper?"

If you or a relative ever has to decide on something similar-
always take the more pepper. Why?
It's great for your health, how so?
Black pepper besides adding flavor can help prevent heartburn,
stop middle-age spread, and lower your risk of developing breast
cancer. Black pepper targets and kills rapidly growing cells
in the breasts (and elsewhere).
And even though it's "good for you" you must remember to
eat foods that won't cause weight gain, or create other health issues
throughout your body.
So, no 3 slices of deep-dish pizza and then lots of black pepper,
or a 3 patty burger with cheese, bacon and tons of black pepper.

That's it- and remember...go slowly, no adding tons of black pepper
to start, add a little and then increase the amounts as the weeks go by
and lastly, since this tip was inspired by Prince, head to Twitter and
become a follower of his tweets.

Good Luck!

Charlie Sheen's Ex Wife Rx For Snacking!

                           Snack Like Denise!

Denise Richards has given an interview on how she stays well balanced,
energized and fit.
Although most people probably won't believe it, Ms. Richards is an

Ice Cream fanatic.
That's right- and she says that having a little bit of ice cream a few times
a week helps keep her slim.

And the type of ice cream she favors makes a difference.
What type of Ice cream?
Full-fat!
Yes, Ms. Richards is absolutely correct, it Full-fat is certainly better
than low-fat and here's why...
Full-fat ice cream is loaded with (CLA) also known as conjugated linoleic
acid, an omega-6 fatty acid that helps speed up the fat burning process,
especially
belly fat.

And according to some insiders, full-fat may dairy may be why more
French women are thinner than American women.

Low-fat dairy is loaded with all types of chemicals, and those
chemicals may be keeping you fat.
And for those who want to indulge, but are afraid of the blood sugar spikes...
sprinkle some walnuts, pistachios or peanuts on top of your ice cream.
Why nuts?
They're high in fiber and are a good unsaturated fat, and both of those things
will slow down the surge of sugar and fat, which protects you from becoming
a diabetic.

So, if you ever wondered about Ms. Richards and her slim figure,
wonder no more, it's the Ice cream.
And lastly, if you're still unwilling or unable to eat dairy,
make your own brand of non-dairy ice cream.
How?
Take a ripe avocado, a banana, a little stevia, some cocoa powder,

vanilla extract, a 1/4 cup of water and a few ice cubes,
place in the blender and blend for a min.

Eat immediately or freeze for an hour or two.
That's it and if you like more variety, add blueberries, strawberries

or cherries.

And if you want more info on Denise Richards and her favorite
ways to boost energy, or relieve tension, head to your local
drugstore or supermarket and pick up a copy of First For Women,

Swaddling Rx For New Hollywood Moms!

                      Helping Your Newborn Sleep!

Hollywood is experiencing a baby boom. Stars like Jessica Simpson,
Busy Phillips, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, and Shakira are all new moms.
And if you're not a star, but a new mom as well, then you probably want
to know...Should I swaddle my newborn?
What is swaddling? Wrapping the baby up in a blanket or comforter,
so that the limbs are tightly restricted. It fell out of favor some time
ago, but it's making a comeback.

If you're a new mom and you want to swaddle, make sure to wrap his
or her arms close to their sides-with enough room for him or her to move
his or her legs and flex their hips. Swaddling the hips to tightly, may cause
future problems like arthritis pain.
And if you do choose to swaddle, it means less crying and
deeper sleep for the babies and the new parents.

So, the question is...will you or won't you swaddle?
If you choose to do it, ask your Dr. or Pediatrician or someone well
practiced in the art of Swaddling -on the proper way to do it.

Good Luck and Good Sleeping!

NBC's Rx For Healthy Knees!

Keep Your Knees In Tip-Top Shape!

If you're a fan of NBC's nightly news show and its anchor Brian Williams,
then you're aware of his absence.
Why the absence? He's having knee replacement surgery on his right knee.

Mr. Williams said " after 35 yrs. of pain it was time for the surgery."
If you're knees are healthy, and you want to them to stay that way-
do the following...
a) Take This-
Vitamin D. If you don't get enough vitamin D, you can expect some knee
pain, why? D boosts absorption of bone-strengthening calcium.
Aim for 2,000 IUs a day. And yes, getting some Sun (without sunscreen)
also counts.
b) Lose Some Weight-
This is great advice for lowering blood pressure, reducing heart disease risk
and now- taking some of the pressure off of your knees. Losing just 10% to 15%
of your weight can slow the progression of future knee pain.
c) Lose Your Shoes-
Depending on where you live, going barefoot improves hip-knee-ankle alignment

it helps reduce the stress on your knees.
d) Eat These Types of Nuts-
What type? Brazil nuts. Rich in selenium,  they help you lower your risk of
knee pain by 45%.
Important tip: Eat no more than 3 Brazil nuts a day. Any more than that and
you risk future health problems.
e) Stop This Habit-
It's smoking and if you're still doing it, (Miley Cyrus) perhaps less knee
pain may get you to finally stop. Smoking increases cartilage loss in the knee
joint considerably.
f) Exercise Wisely-
If you're knees are in good shape, do exercises that'll benefit your knees.

Exercises like walking and light weightlifting (squats and knee bends).
And you also stop stretching so much, why? Vigorous stretching before
exercise doesn't prevent knee injuries. In the future, warm up by walking
for a few minutes and then you can exercise.
g) Go Italian-
Or Greek. Just add more olive oil to your diet. Extra-virgin olive oil
protects cartilage surrounding the knee. The oil contains a natural
anti-inflammatory that stops immune cells from attacking knee cartilage.
Also beneficial, adding spices to your soups, salad dressings, eggs and
meat dishes.
Ginger, turmeric, cayenne pepper, marjoram, parsley, cilantro and
cumin shut down inflammation that may result in pain.

That's it- some simple tips to make sure you never end up like Brian
Williams.
