that the remaining five days aren't a license to eat like it's Thanksgiving
or Christmas. Doing so will only result in embarrassing bowel movements,
facial blemishes, bad moods, and of course- weight gain.

And what's wrong with that, you ask?

the most important nutrient needed to combat aging. And another benefit of orange foods:
they'll give you a natural tan, helping you to avoid the tanning beds and the Sun.

So, if you're approaching 40 or if you're 25 and you want to look younger for
as long as possible, do like Uma and smear on some pumpkin.
Look for beauty products that contain pumpkin, or buy some canned pumpkin, (1/4 cup)
add an egg yolk and some plain yogurt, mix thoroughly, lie back on a lounge
chair and smear the mixture on your face, neck and the back of your hands.
Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.
Do this a few times a week and then once a week for maintenance, and  you'll have
friends, relatives and strangers telling you "that you look way younger than your
actual age!"
And also important: don't forget to eat some of the above mentioned foods,

Fergie's Rx For Germ-Free Linen!

Fergie, one quarter of the group-"The Black-Eyed Peas"
has come out with her own line of vodka. It's a low-cal vodka
called Voli. Like a lot of stars-Fergie's talents go beyond singing
and dancing, she also wants to be known as a creator, designer
and innovator. And her creation of low-cal vodka will not only keep
your waistline trim, but it'll help keep your linens, ( towels, sheets
and cloth napkins) fresh and germ-free.

How? A former costume designer who worked with the theater,
that put on ballets and opera shows, was shocked to find that
frequent trips to the dry cleaners were really taking a toll on the
budget. He remembered that vodka, a disinfectant will clean delicate

Are you a regular exerciser? What type of exercise do you engage in to

(BPM) of a particular song  can boost your exercise performance.
That's right- listening to music with BPMs that mimic the heart rate or tempo
of exercise will help you stick with it and enjoy it.

Stars Earn Stripes Rx To Help Our Troop!

                 Help Our Troops! 

The reality series "Stars Earn Stripes" just ended.
And the winner was wrestler Eve Torres of WWE.
Ms. Torres won $100,000 for a charity that involves our
military. The charity may help returning vets who need
housing, or those that need help dealing with PTSD,
or wives and kids who may need a vacation.

The $100,000 is going to be helpful, but let's not forget
the veterans still serving, and if you regular Jane or Joe
want to help, there's a way.

How? By sending candy. Yes, you're reading it right, candy,
hard, sweet candy, like Lifesavers or Werther's Butterscotch.
Why candy? Sugary candy like the ones mentioned above,
give our men and women a rise in blood sugar and that helps
increase energy  levels and alertness between meals and when
they have to stay out and patrol for hours.

That's right- Keeping in close contact with friends and family
by visiting, skyping or calling a few times a week can increase

President Obama is running for reelection come November.

of his reelection: his love of beer.
It was just revealed that Pres. Obama loves beer so much,
that he has people not only make for him, but they come with

President Obama may be doing a lot of things wrong, but having 

a beer every night is something that's certainly right.

Sport Illustrated's Rx For A Lean and Toned Body!

Are you a fan of the "supermodel" edition of Sports Illustrated? 

Apparently, a lot of people are and one of the models who graced the cover
spills her simple diet secrets, that will work for any woman, man or teenager.

The "Supermodel" is Marisa Miller, and she was discovered on a beach. 

Ms. Miller is what you call "healthy looking" and she prefers her body, 
to that of the stick-pin figures you usually see.
So, how does Ms. Miller keep her body in tip-top shape?

a) She eats in the nude. It's safe to say, she probably doesn't dine out a 
lot. Ms. Miller says seeing yourself totally nude and eating while nude, 
makes you more aware of what you put into your body.
You can also see your stomach expanding and getting uncomfortable as well. 

This tip may work for a couple, a couple who doesn't have kids.
b) She prepares ahead of time. She keeps a few servings of brown rice
or quinoa (to learn more about quinoa, go to Supermarkets@typepad.com
and look for Dr. Oz's Rx for a super grain). She'll take out some rice
and stir-fry some rice along with a few vegetables.
c) Want a snack eat a snack- Ms. Miller had a hard time avoiding
all of the fattening snacks at Whole Foods, but then she saw cookies,
or pie slices wrapped individually. She decided, why try to fight it, 

she'll buy a few cookies or a slice of cake and eat only one serving at a time,
and thoroughly enjoy it. Put the rest of the goodies in the freezer, and take out
one cookie or one cupcake.
d) Give In...Sometimes- Marissa gained weight in the beginning of her
relationship to her now husband, he likes beef, beer and big slabs
of cake. Ms. Miller knew she couldn't keep up that pace, so now,
she sets aside a day in which she and her husband will go out for
steak, onion rings and a pitcher of beer. She says "That since I
eat well 90% of the time, I could splurge on cake or an 8 oz. steak
10% of the time."
