T.V. Host's Rx For a Chilled Soup!

                             Have Some Soup...Watermelon Soup!

If you're a regular here then you may have seen a post or two extolling

the benefits of the red and juicy Summer-time fruit known as Watermelon.
And for newcomers who aren't aware of the benefits, here are a few...
* A natural sleep-aid. Goodbye sleeping pills.
* Natural Sunscreen- So long store bought sunscreen
* Appetite suppressant
* Youth Booster
* Natural Viagra
Plus, many more benefits.

If you're like most Americans and really eat loads of  it (watermelon) during the
Summer months, you may want to switch things up and start making soup,

Watermelon soup.
Watermelon soup?
Yes, and the recipe for this delicious soup comes from the one and only
David Venable.
Who is that?

Only the most popular host on QVC, the shopping network and his recipe for
watermelon soup is listed down below...

Chilled Watermelon Soup!
Ingredients:
4 cups of watermelon, cubed and without the seeds
1/3 cup apple juice
2 Tbs. fresh lime juice
1 Tbs. honey
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/3 cup of yogurt, plain (optional)
Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
-----------------------------------------
Directions:
In a blender or food processor blend the first 5 ingredients, stopping
occasionally to wipe down the sides, blend until smooth.
Remove the blender or processor, cover and place in the refrigerator
for an hour or two. After the time is up, take the soup out of the refrigerator
and pour into 3 bowls or 4 mugs, top with a Tbs. of plain yogurt and a mint leaf.

That's it, a cool and refreshing treat to help you get through the 90 and 100
degree heat plaguing many U.S. residents this week and next week.

Also, look for David Venable on QVC today (Sundays 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.)  doing what he does
best... cooking, eating and selling food.

And one last tip:
If you want to know more about the benefits of watermelon, or honeydew melon or

cantaloupe, head on over to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type The healing benefits of
Melon- in the search bar, download a copy and learn why we all should be eating more
of this type of fruit during the Summer season.

Good Luck!
