Soap Star's Rx For A Slimming Treat!

                       A Sweet Treat For Laura!

You may not be old enough to remember the days of "Luke and Laura."
They were the big stars of General Hospital and were played by Anthony
Geary and Genie Francis.

They were so popular, they had 10 times the coverage the Kardashians have
today and with all of that coverage came stress and anxiety, especially for
Ms. Francis.
Yes, the endless coverage and the pressure to stay slim really affected
Genie Francis.

Well, fast forward 35 yrs. later and Ms. Francis has become a spokeswoman

for Nutrisystem and one of the products they (Nutrisystem) sell helps
Ms. Francis stay in shape.

What product is that?
A shake. More specifically a chocolate shake that delivers 13 grams of protein,
a type of protein that shuts down hunger pangs and revs up metabolism
and the chocolate allows you to satisfy your sweet tooth.

So, are you ready to take after Ms. Francis and finally put those extra pounds behind you?

If you are, look for the product called...
NutriCrush Chocolate Shake Mix, available at Walmart

stores and the price-- $9 for 5 shakes.

That's it for today...

Good Luck!

T.V. Doctor's Rx For Turning Back The Clock!

                          Wearing Wine To Look Younger!

If you're watching "The Today's Show's" series on making it to 100,

then you already know that Dr. Oz was on this morning giving his 7 tips
for making it to the century mark.
No offense to the good doctor, but his tips have been given out and recycled
for about 15 yrs. now.
What were they?
Go to bed earlier
exercising for 10 to 20 minutes is quite alright.
stand and balance on one leg for 30 secs. each day (to prevent falls later on in life)
eat purple foods, eggplant, plums, concord grapes and blueberries.
And drink some of the purple as well. As in wine.
But hold on, what if some members out watching don't drink?
That's okay, how about wearing some wine.
Wearing wine?
Yes, and if you start wearing it, you'll be just like former "Desperate Housewife"
Terry Hatcher.

It's rumored that Ms. Hatcher likes to pour some wine into her bath water
and relax for 15 to 20 mins.
And if you really want to turn back the clock, use some of that wine to make a
facial. Yes, a facial.

A facial penetrates your face to directly deliver major antioxidants to it.
And  since these antioxidants are absorbed,  they go to work  repairing damage
and protecting your skin against pollution and the Sun's rays, leaving it smoother
and with fewer fine lines.

To make your wine-face masque, you'll need wine, (any red wine will do)
honey and plain yogurt.
1/4 cup of wine, 1 Tbs. dark honey and plain yogurt 1 cup.

Mix together in a bowl.
Take a clean washcloth, and run it under warm water.
Lie back and place the washcloth over your face.
Leave it on for 30 secs. and then remove it.
Lay back in a comfortable chair and place the wine masque on your whole face
and neck. Leave on for 15 mins. and then rinse off with warm water.
Important tip:
Do this on your day off or on the weekend as some redness may occur.
Do this once or twice a wk. just until you get the results you want and
then once a week or once every 2 wks for maintenance.

Good Luck!

And one last tip-- If you have any chocolate, an Easter bunny or
a few candy bar leftover from this past Sunday, hold onto
them and eat a small amount each day.
Doing this will improve your health in ways you never thought possible.

In fact, one woman was so bogged down with stress and fatigue, she
thought the only way to overcome it was to take medication.
But luckily, a friend told her to eat some dark chocolate each day
and see if it made a difference.
Long story short, it (chocolate) worked, she didn't need the medication.
And if you want to know how dark choc. can help you prevent
and overcome a host of health problems, head to Amazon.com/the kindle store
and download, see title to the right...

Hit Movie's Rx For A Hot Valentine's Day!

                         50 Days of Hot Loving!

It's almost here, so get ready.
What is it?

The premiere of the much anticipated movie..."Fifty Shades of Grey!"
And if you're a fan and want to emulate some of the things
that go on in the book and now movie, you may want to start with food.

Food?
Yes, but not just smearing it on each other.

We're talking about eating and drinking your way to a life (a sex life)
that resemble the characters in the movie.
And what foods will help you achieve that kind of life (sex life)?
Look below and learn.
1) Cheese-
Yes, some may say, "I'm lactose intolerant, but some good quality cheese

after a meal can help ease anxiety and tension.
Cheese contains magnesium and calcium, 2 minerals that help
calm you down and boost happiness levels.
Plus, it contains vit. D, which increases dopamine levels, and the more dopamine
in your system, the more attracted you'll be towards your partner.
2) Coffee-
Strong coffee delivers extra energizing mixtures of caffeine and antioxidants
that intensify feelings of arousal and passion. Recent research says that coffee
drinkers may have higher libidos.
And if you don't want coffee after 7 or 8 pm, have wine instead.
Wine, (especially for women) works like coffee in that it raises libido.
3) Chocolate-
No surprise here, it's a favorite food for millions and it not only boosts

moods, new research says choc. lovers may have more sensitive skin.
As in sensitive to the touch. Chocolate may have a "viagra-like" effect ,
releasing nitric oxide, which rushes blood to key erogenous zones.
Important tip: Make sure the choc. you choose is top quality.
Look for 70 to 85% dark chocolate.
4) Oysters-
Some think it's a myth, but not to the people of France.
For decades, the French have used oysters to boost moods and passion levels.

Oysters are full of zinc, a key mineral that boost testosterone in both men
and women.
And if you're not a fan of oysters, add more fruit to your diet.
Not sure what types of fruit to add to your daily menus?
Head online to Amazon.com/the kindle store and type Natural
Libido Boosters For Women in the search bar. Download a
copy and become the star of your own movie.
In addition to the fruits you should be eating, you'll also learn
how to boost libido with some products that are available at your local drugstore.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Halloween Rx For Better Health!

                   Enjoy Halloween and Get Healthier!

You may think that Hollywood stars aren't into Halloween.
And if you've been thinking this, you're wrong.
Stars like Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie and Jennifer Garner
absolutely love it.

They love the decorating, the carving of pumpkins and
baking dishes that contain Pumpkin.
And if you too, also love Halloween, here are some things that
you and your family can do to boost health and happiness, this
coming Friday.
Things like...
a) Creating A Tradition-
If you have a Halloween tradition like picking out pumpkins
or going for a hayride, continue doing it, why?
It'll bring your family closer. All rituals are important, but you
tend to always remember the ones revolving around the holidays-
because those events make such a big impression on you.
Such an impression, you'll remember them for a lifetime.
b) Carving A Pumpkin-
Carving a pumpkin requires you to use the right side of your brain,
the creative side. And spending time carving and creating
means a mini-vacation from the hustle and bustle of jobs, school
and other adult responsibilities.
c) Meet The Neighbors-
If you only talk or socialize with your neighbors on Halloween, that's not good.
Interacting with neighbors can help boost happiness levels.
Start interacting more with your neighbors.
d) Dress Up-
If you only dress up your kids once a year, you're missing out.
Missing out on letting go of stress. Dressing up helps you get in
touch with your inner-child, and lets you explore fantasies that may get stifled
the rest of the year. Any time you dress up or do something like
face-painting, you're letting go of adult stress.
e) Visiting a Haunted House-

Do you enjoy visiting a haunted house or watching a movie like
Saw? Well, believe it or not, you're releasing "happy" hormones.
Getting scared, whether it's from a haunted house or a scary movie
helps makes fear more manageable.
Important tip:
If you have a less than healthy heart, you may want to skip the
haunted house or scary movie.
f) The Chocolate Rx-
If you avoid the candy during the holidays, you may want to
rethink that. Read more about the benefits of Chocolate at our
main blog. The blog: SupermarketRxs@typepad.com.

That's it, stay safe and enjoy Halloween, just
like Jessica, Nicole and Jennifer.

Good Luck!

Hollywood's Easter Treat For Better Health!

                      Eat More Chocolate!

You may think stars don't eat chocolate. But many of them have kids
and come the holidays, they want their kids to feel as normal as possible.
And since Easter holiday is almost here, you may want to include more
chocolate in your diet as well. Why?

It's not just good for your heart, it can improve your health in
a number of ways. And something even better, it doesn't have to
be the budget-busting dark chocolate you've been led to believe will
only work.
Oh no, look below and find out how all types of chocolate can benefit your
health.
a) A Stronger Heart-
Concerned about heart disease? Do like the tribe of Indians off
the coast of Panama and drink more hot cocoa.
That's right- The Kuna Indians don't remember when a member

of their tribe was afflicted with heart trouble or a heart attack.
Dark Cocoa works on the blood vessels keeping them relaxed
and wide open, allowing for better blood flow and perfect blood pressure.
Find good organic dark choc. online at SwansonVitamins.com.
Drink 2 cups a day without the sugar and definitely without the scones,
danish, cannolis and crones.
b) Boost Energy-
With chocolate milk. Before there were energy drinks there was
choc. milk. The milk provides you with nutrients to boost energy
and stop the aches and pains after a tough workout.
Allergic to dairy? Use almond milk and add a piece of melted dark choc.
to the glass.

c) Better Focus-
Unable to focus? Short attention span? (See Chelsea Handler) then you may
need to start eating milk chocolate, yes milk chocolate.
Often tossed to the side, the much cheaper brand of choc. can help
those who need help staying awake and paying attention to the tasks at hand.
This type of choc. improves blood flow to areas of the brain responsible
for attention and concentration.

d) Smoother Skin-
If you break out easily, then you may have to wear this type of choc.
what type? Melted Chocolate. Microwave or heat some dark choco.
up, let it melt, remove it from the stove and let it cool for a few minutes
and then apply to your face and neck. Choc. can hydrate the skin,

reduce redness and cut UV damage (from the Sun). Leave on for 10 mins.
and then rinse off with warm water.
e) A Tip For Whoopi-
Whoopi Goldberg complains about being over 50 and the problems with night sweats and hot flashes, well she may need to eat more...For the answer, head to our main
blog...SupermarketRxs@typepad.com.

certain foods as medicine.

One food they talked about was Chocolate.  The reporter-Diane McInerney,
