Leonardo DeCaprio's Beverage Rx For Summer!

                                Drink Like F. Scott Fitzgerald!

The long-awaited movie "The Great Gatsby" will be out in
this month. The film is about the author who wrote the book.
Who was the author? F. Scott Fitzgerald.

And it's rumored his favorite drink was a Mint Julep.
It's also rumored that cocktails were invented in the 20's,
as a way to throw off law officials who were looking for bars
and restaurants selling illegal booze, so the bartenders
started adding fruit, soda, water and flowers
to drinks, hoping to disguise them.

With that said, if you plan on seeing the movie and would like
to have the favorite beverage of author F. Scott Fitzgerald,
here's a  recipe that you can make for your
guests at a party or make for yourself after a long day
at work.

The Classic Mint Julep Recipe:
Put a few mint leaves in a glass, then add 1 tbs. of powdered
sugar and a 1 tbs. of water. Stir. Fill the glass with ice and about
3 oz. of bourbon. Stir again. Finish it up by putting a mint leaf
on the top.

One more tip: Have glasses rinsed and ingredients chilled before
making the mint juleps for your guests.

That's it- and with the Kentucky Derby a few days away,
have your own K.D party and serve a few mint juleps to

your guests.
Mint Juleps are the most requested drinks at the Kentucky Derby.

Good Luck!
