Talk Show Host's Smoothie Rx To Ease Back Pain!

Sip A Smoothie To Ease Back Pain!

Can you name the T.V. host who sometimes has back pain
flare ups?
If you said Ellen, give yourself a hand.

Although it hasn't happened in quite some time, Ms.
Degeneres has had to sit out for the dancing segments on her show
over the past few yrs, due to her ailing back.

If you're like Ellen and sometimes have an ache or flareup
along your spine, use the following smoothie recipe and
see if it helps.
A smoothie for a bad back?
Yes. if you use ingredients that are nutritious and "back-
friendly!"
The ingredients:
1 cup of fresh tart cherries or frozen (unsweetened)
1 banana (sliced)
the juice of a lemon (1/2)
1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp. dark honey
a few ice cubes
Blend until smooth.
Enough for 1 serving.

The cherries are rich in antioxidants that relieve inflammation
and the banana contains potassium, a mineral that eases muscle
soreness. And the yogurt, it helps your digestion system run smoothly.
One doctor thinks that a lot of back pain may be caused by congestion
in your intestinal tract.
That's it, and if back pain happens a few times a month,

you may have to overhaul your diet (like Ellen) and switch to
foods that don't contain sugar, trans fats, fructose corn syrup,
dyes or harmful chemicals.

And lastly, this smoothie is recommended for those who suffer
from the occasional back ache, not a slipped disk or a broken back.
And if you want more tips (like exercise, massage, and vitamins) go
to Google.com and type (Ellen's Rx To End Back Pain.
Once you land on the page, you should see the post on

                               Heal An Aching Back!

Ellen Degeneres makes no secret about the struggles she's had
with her ailing back. Now, it doesn't give her trouble everyday,

but it does act up a few times a yr. and when it happens a few times
that means no more dancing.
If you, like Ms. Degeneres has a bothersome back, use the natural
remedy being recommended by alternative healing researchers...

The remedy: Listen to your iPod!

Yes, your iPod, researchers say that listening to music helps reduce

pain by about 20%.
Why an iPod? Music takes you to another World, a World that helps

distract you and then induces relaxation.  So, if you find that your back may hurt after shoveling snow or after a day
of moving, take a warm bath and bring along your iPod, they're
natural ways to relieve that achy back.

And lastly. this tip isn't for someone with herniated discs or serious

Ellen Degeneres' Rx For Better Eyesight!

The Food Combo For Better Eyesight!

You know T.V. host Ellen DeGeneres likes to dance, give away stuff,
play pranks, have English sensations Rosie and Sophia Grace on...
frequently, and tend to her avocados.
That's right- Ellen and Portia own a large piece of land, that has a lot
of avocado trees.
If  you only use avocados to make guacamole, then it's time to make
a change. A change for better eyesight.

Yes, using the fruit (avocado is a fruit) and mixing it into a salad,
improves eyesight.
Avocados help you absorb more lutein, more alpha-carotene and
more beta-carotene. And these nutrients all help sharpen vision and
prevent macular degeneration, one of leading causes of blindness.

So, if failing eyesight is something you're afraid of- add a few slices
of avocados to your lettuce, tomato, carrots, onions, garlic, and
some cucumbers. And make sure the dressing contains some fat,
like olive or macadamia nut oil. And lastly, don't add strips of bacon,
croutons (especially from white bread) ham, cheese, and mayo.
Poor eyesight isn't the only thing you'll be worried about, a bigger
waistline will also be a concern.

Good Luck!
