Talk Show Host's Smoothie Rx To Ease Back Pain!

Sip A Smoothie To Ease Back Pain!

Can you name the T.V. host who sometimes has back pain
flare ups?
If you said Ellen, give yourself a hand.

Although it hasn't happened in quite some time, Ms.
Degeneres has had to sit out for the dancing segments on her show
over the past few yrs, due to her ailing back.

If you're like Ellen and sometimes have an ache or flareup
along your spine, use the following smoothie recipe and
see if it helps.
A smoothie for a bad back?
Yes. if you use ingredients that are nutritious and "back-
friendly!"
The ingredients:
1 cup of fresh tart cherries or frozen (unsweetened)
1 banana (sliced)
the juice of a lemon (1/2)
1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp. dark honey
a few ice cubes
Blend until smooth.
Enough for 1 serving.

The cherries are rich in antioxidants that relieve inflammation
and the banana contains potassium, a mineral that eases muscle
soreness. And the yogurt, it helps your digestion system run smoothly.
One doctor thinks that a lot of back pain may be caused by congestion
in your intestinal tract.
That's it, and if back pain happens a few times a month,

you may have to overhaul your diet (like Ellen) and switch to
foods that don't contain sugar, trans fats, fructose corn syrup,
dyes or harmful chemicals.

And lastly, this smoothie is recommended for those who suffer
from the occasional back ache, not a slipped disk or a broken back.
And if you want more tips (like exercise, massage, and vitamins) go
