A Supermodel's Rx For Lowering Blood Pressure!

                           Lower Blood Pressure Naturally!

If you happened to catch "The Today Show" then you know they did a
segment on blood pressure, or high blood pressure to be exact.
And although high cholesterol gets all of the attention, you better watch
your blood pressure numbers like a hawk.
(A serious note: T.V. chef Rachael Ray said a number of her friends
have high blood pressure, and they (the friends) are all under 45 yrs. of age)
Taking immediate steps to get it under control can cut your risk of
a heart attack or stroke in half.
And lower odds of heart attack and stroke aren't the only benefits,
you'll also keep your mind as sharp and youthful as it was 10 or even 15 yrs. ago.

So, now that you know the importance of keeping blood pressure normal (or below normal)
you should also know how to get those numbers down.
The doctor-prescribed ways to get those numbers down are medications
from the pharmacy or a diet of low-salt, low-fat and no taste foods.
But, you being the alternative kind of gal or guy wants something different
and totally out-of-the-box and for you there's a book.

A book?
A book that was written by former Victoria Secret's model Miranda Kerr.
Yes, it's true, the former Mrs. Orlando Bloom has written a book called--
"Treasure Yourself" and it's a collection of thoughts, memories and
lessons that will put you on a path towards self improvement.
And some say that reading this book will help calm you down and
being more calm is a great way to lower blood pressure.

In fact, reading any type of upbeat book increases your production of dopamine
and oxytocin, calming hormones that lower blood pressure by 5 or more points.

That's it, a simple solution to help lower blood pressure numbers.
And if you want some more tips on how to lower blood pressure naturally

and easily, head online to Amazon.com/the kindle store and see title to
the right. Download it and learn all about the foods, beverages, meditation secrets
and massage secrets your doctor may not even be familiar with.

Good Luck!

Stars have to deal with a lot of things...Paparazi, family and friends always
looking for handouts, limousines that may not arrive on time,
personal chefs that may add some extra salt and fat to a meal,

of two from Lima Ohio, or a fashion, music or movie star who resides
in Beverly Hills, you want them (tan lines) gone, and the simplest

way to do it, is...
Smooth a cream bronzer directly over any paler areas of skin that

powder. This is the easy way to get allover and even color.

J. K. Rowling's Rx For More Happiness!

Write Your Way To More Happiness!

J. K. Rowling, the writer who created the Harry Potter series,
wrote her way out of welfare and into a life of unbelievable riches.
Writing like yoga or acupuncture has been a form of therapy for decades,
and if you find yourself needing therapy for say- frustration, bad moods

or anxiety, try writing your way to better moods.

That's right- according to a study done at Stanford Univ. writing down what you

like about you or your life during troubling times can have you feeling more
upbeat, less blue and easily annoyed in a matter of weeks.
The researchers think that remembering what makes you special (a great mom)

(a hard-working  and loyal employee) raises your self confidence, which fills you
with positive feelings.
And if you're already positive and don't need any more self confidence,
you can write to...

improve memory
lower blood pressure
slash stress
boost your immunity (especially important during cold and flu season)

So, to become more positive or lower your blood pressure,
keep a pen and a note pad handy.
And remember, writing worked out wonderfully for J.K. Rowling,
and it might work out for you.

Good Luck!

Barry Manilow's Rx To Lower Blood Pressure!

Easy Listening Music For Better Health!

Barry Manilow, Olivia Newton-John and Neil Diamond have millions of

loyal fans, who've been loyal fans for decades.
And they also have haters. People who claim the music should only be
played in elevators, it's the type of music meant to help you get to
sleep, essentially-"easy listening."
Well, according to new research, that "easy listening" music
can help lower blood pressure.

Gentle and pleasant styles of music can affect the part of the nervous
system that controls heart rhythm and lower your blood pressure.
And if you're a fan of Metallica, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath
or KISS and wondering if it does anything to your blood pressure,

it does.

Loud, head banging and intense music can increase blood-vessel constriction,

which raises blood pressure.
So, next time you're listening to Barry Manilow or Neil Diamond,
and someone makes fun of you, just tell them-

"Make fun of me all you want, I'm lowering my blood pressure."

Good Luck!

Cocoa's Rx For Lowering Blood Pressure!

                                Lower Blood Pressure Like Cocoa!

Cocoa, the star of her own E network show and wife of actor
and rapper Ice-T, allowed the viewers to see her at her doctor's
visit. Unfortunately, the doctor's visit wasn't a pleasant experience-why?

Cocoa learned her blood pressure was 170/100.

The normal blood pressure should be more like 120/80.
With that said, Cocoa and Ice-T tried to change their ways (dietary)
but it was hard. In the next episode Cocoa was eating a sandwich with
white bread. White bread has a lot of salt, and that's one of the problems
Cocoa will have to deal with.

That's right- Removing salt and using herbs will help lower blood pressure,
but what about the hidden sources.
Yes, hidden sources-you know salt that's lurking in everyday foods.
Listed below are some foods that contain salt, that you and Cocoa may still

be eating.
The Foods:
Deli Meat
Cured Meat
Meat Dishes like Meat Loaf
Condiments- like Ketchup and Soy Sauce
Chicken-yes chicken has salt
Cheese
Pizza- the Cheese
Breads and Rolls.
That's your list- eliminate, use herbs and spices to make certain
dishes (meatloaf) or eat some of the foods (Pizza or a ham sandwich) occasionally.

And if you want more ways to lower blood pressure, take a look at
