Hollywood's Rxs For A Happier Marriage!

Happiness Secrets To A Longer and Stronger Marriage!

Hollywood may seem like the last place anyone would want to take
marriage advice from,  but you can really learn something.
That something:
Look at successful couples like Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson,
and Kevin Bacon  and Kyra Sedgewick.
Couples that are the happiest and longest-lasting know a few
things about making a marriage work that other couples don't
know, and if you look below, you too, can learn the secrets that
Tom and Rita and Kevin and Kyra know.

a) Cheer Each Other On-
In Hollywood, if both people have acting careers it takes something
extra special to make the marriage work. And if one person is more
successful,
it can really take some work.
So, that's why it's important that you put egos aside and cheer each other
on. You already know that being supportive when things are bad is
extremely important, but make sure to do it when things are going great.
Researchers say that couples who respond energetically and positively
during good times (a job promotion or losing weight) are generally
happier with each other.
2) Bring Back The Date Night-
Kids, jobs, aging parents, fatigue, on and on. If this is your life,
it's probably okay to assume that you don't have time for each other.
And if this is the case, it's time to bring back "date night."
Doing things together, (without the kids, pets or parents)
stimulates the production of the attraction hormone dopamine and when
you do things together, you associate the resulting "high"
with each other. So, start dating again.
3) Go Ahead and Fight-
Are you the type of couple that brags--"we never fight?"
Well, researchers say it's okay to fight, (not physical of course)
but disagreeing about bills or politics is quite alright.
Expressing anger, instead of holding on to it is better for your
health, and lets your partner know what you really feel about
certain situations. Just make sure to keep the fights to a minimum.
4) Separate Dates-
Do you feel that taking a separate vacation or a night out with
friends will cause a breakup? Not true, in fact, it may save your marriage.
Doing something on your own, like taking a pottery class or
working on cars with your buddies, builds self esteem and makes
you happier. And feeling happier and more accomplished
results in happiness at home.
That's it--simple solutions for a strong marriage.
